The puppies all "Noooo.. me no like stairs!!" then after a while its all "I am victory puppy! I can conquer the world because I conquered the stairs! I am so powerful!" and the cats all ">_> Back off dog. You climbed the stairs? So?" xD I felt so bad for the puppy with all its crying.
Very cute. But according to two dog trainers I heard, dogs and especially pups DON'T like squeaky toys. I was stunned. They claimed that the dogs chew on them hoping to squelch the toy into NOT squeaking. They claimed the sound hurt their ears. Suggestion: for your next pup, wait til he or she is real hungry, then put the food or dog biscuit at the bottom of the stairs. Believe me, if they realize it is food, that will really get them motivated.
the way i taught my German Shepherd how to do stairs was I put her like in the middle of the staircase and she and she learned to climb up. After she went up that time, she immediately started going down the stairs. I had to spot her but she made it down, after that she would always run up and down them
my girl pup liked to be babied too much when learning to climb stairs back then lol. took two weeks to finally teach her unlike her brother who did it in less than 20 min only because of frustration at my brother :P
I get that your trying to get him used to it and all but if hes that afraid you shouldnt really push hiim, they will learn eventually when they are big enough.
