I think the most beautiful jewels are not the ones we see displayed as heritage of her Crown,but those precious jewels that crown her very soul, every tear she has shed in secret for her country and every sadness that has pained her life -eve gratiously -by people that can see only the material things and give no value to her sacrifice.Her most beautiful treasure is her virtue,her devotion,her noble smile to the world-those are her virtues that shine even stronger for all to see.

It is almost as if duty, honor, discretion, loyalty (etc) are so "old fashioned" as to be irrelevant in modern society. I often hear people speak of her as an anachronism...a dated throwback to a long outgrown age. To me though, she seems a fair bulwark, firmly set against the inexorable decline of a society hell-bent on shedding it's last vestige of decency and civility.

Thanks for sharing your videos. I've been trying to make a video for the queen and prince philip especially on their younger days yet I rarely find them. I also haven't found a single picture of King George VI and Prince Philip alone together.
It is so paramount to understand that Her Majesty did not choose her calling. I cannot fathom being crowned with such a lifelong responsibility. I am not espousing the movie The Queen; however, the actress who portrays the Queen Mother does put it as well as it has been so portrayed in life...I cannot remember the line...but, an oath is an oath til death to serve one's people. I am not British...my ancestors were...but anyone with intuition can see a great person serving a great nation.
