I love the new stradic the weight is unbelievable but if your a weekend warrior try out a few of the lower priced models. You'll get great quality and save a few bucks. I fish upwards of 5 plus days a week and I never complained of a soar wrist from casting a few ounces heavier. I use the new stradic for both weight and durability. It does crush anything in its price class.
@mikayla122007 Any 6-6'6" Fast, Medium fast rod will do. I should never say any here, I'll get an ear full. It all depends on your type of fishing I guess. I am a hard core float tube fisher and I pair my Stardic with a St. Croix Premier/PS70MF. This works great in the tube and I fill one spool with 6 or 8lb test and another with a medium 15 or 15 plus praid for heavy cover. I carry a secon pole for ultra light fishing. I am not afraid to use the Stradic for ANY size fish...
Depends on what fish your fishing for but if you want a great rod for the price get the new shimano voltaeus there 50 bucks and have a super sensitive tip id go with a 7 foot or 6'6 medium action... there extremely durable
im getting one christmas for mainly estuary fishing in qld. i think the handle may be a bit awkward to reel in a big fish but i cant wait for it!
