  • (in my Cheshire Cat voice) I'm a Lil odd myself, now this could just be me, but it seem when every Alice gets nervous, Cheshire Cat give this great perverted smile with the eyes also, I think he's such a great character, the original drawing he seems very disturbing when he smiles, not that there's anything wrong with that :) but in this he seems so well put together(laugh) that he's the only person in wonderland who makes any real sense, also he know the place better than anybody, I wouldn't b

  • "We are all mad here"

  • god of trolling

  • Garfield on drugs..

  • ♫Cheshire Cat Cheshire Cat♫

    ♫Crazy, kinda creepy, and a bit a nut♫

    ♫He's Cheshire Cat Cheshire Cat♫

    ♫Crazy, creepy, nutty little cat♫

  • My Favorite Character! :) Hes My Next Tattoo!

  • Cheshire cat used to scare me when I was little. Especially when his eyes blinked red...he's menacing.

  • The actor who does the voice over for the Cheshire Cat (Alice In Wonderland 1951), Sterling Holloway, is the same actor who did the voice overs for Winnie the Pooh, Roquefort in "The Aristocrats", Kaa the snake in "The Jungle Book", the frog in Alice In Wonderland (1933), and Mr. Stork in "Dumbo." We have him to thank for a good majority of our childhood movies. :)

  • getting high combined with alchohol!!!

THIS CAT IS WHO I FEEL LIKE!

  • "Can you stand on your head?"

  • Sterling holloway was the best actor ever but 17 people don't know him. HE was the original voice of winnie the pooh and kaa in the jungel book

  • This fucker fueled my nightmares throughout my childhood.

  • Cheshire The Original Troll!

  • Damn...what happened to america? The movies, music and even cartoons had more depth. Now it's all clean cut and perfectly annoying...no substance. Not all of it...but much of it that is available to the general public.

  • 17 people cant stand on their head

  • Can you stand on your head?

  • utterly terrifying.

  • Cheshire cat is a troll

  • "Well I've often seen a cat without a grin,.

But a grin without a cat?"

  • this movie terrified me as a kid!!!

  • the way the cat disappears scared me as a child and strangely it scares me even more now

  • @TheStars201 Kathryn Beaumont is her name, I believe.

  • Who does Alice's voice?? its so cuute!

  • @TheStars201 The same person who did Wendy in Peter Pan.

  • @dessakat Okaaay...and who might that be? May I have the name please.

  • The face he makes at 2:38.. priceless lol

  • anyone notice how he's singing "jabberwocky" at the beginning? :)

  • @laurenkd89 YAY!!!! I'm not the only one who noticed!!!!!!

  • "if you really like to know, he went that way!"

    "who did?"

    "the white rabbit"

    "he did??"

    "he did what?"

    "go that way"

    "who did?"

    "the white rabbit!"

    "what rabbit??"

HAHAHA this is so good when your high

  • @jambalulu LOL honestly, I don't get it...was HE high?

  • @TheStars201 well knowing evrery1 on this movie is tripin on LSD i asuming there all high;)

  • @TheStars201 the author was high on opium or weed or somthin like that when he wrote alice in wonderland or so i hear. x

  • @Jessthegurl1192 Lewis Carrol is the pen name of a 19th century mathmatician at Oxford. He wrote "The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland" as a metaphore for how math involving imaginary numbers was insanity. The characters are his collegues, whom studied the new mathmatics of the age. The entire book (and this movie) are full of mathematical proofs, jokes, and imposiblilities which are a part of the mathmatical theories Carrol hated. He believed that math should be realistic and serve a function.

  • @Thehouseoffail Lewis Carrol is a Nom de Plume his REAL name was Charles Dodgson.

  • @Crankee78 I'm confused as to why you have stated this. While I did not include his real name, I did say the Lewis Carrol was his pen name. I think I am missing your point.

  • @Thehouseoffail What's so confusing about it? What I simply said was a trivial fact, trivial facts are not imperative in history and not much relevant to what is really pertinent to the topic at hand but that's why it's trivial it's stating something that somebody probably did not know about that topic/subject/person in question it's a trivial fact buddy I chose to respond to your comment and put that trivial fact in there....If you don't like it get used to it.

  • @Jessthegurl1192 He certainly wasn't high on weed.

There is a lively debate however whether he may have been drinking alcohol with an opium tincture (which wasn't unheard of at the time), which might account for some of the bizarre fantasy elements.

There's no concrete evidence for this, however.

  • Why does this have REALLY low volume

  • 2:40 - 2:50 is creativity in it's purest form. You just see that anymore :(

  • Oh ok...

  • This ... This is the cat that used to terrify me as a child.

    "He did what?"

    "Went that way"

    "Who did?"

    "The white rabbit"

    "What rabbit?"

  • @fireoutlaw23

"Can you stand on your head?"

  • @fireoutlaw23 That's hilarious and frustrating at the same time lol

  • The Cheshire Cat is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • he's the snake is the jungle book too right?

  • Cheshire Cat Rules!

  • I'm high right now

  • Did anyone else notice how the queen looks like Fred flinstone? Lol

  • i have seen this movie so many times and still cant understand...is this based on an acid trip i dont have a clue what the fucks going on

  • Thank goodness Mr. Disney didn't create his awesome collection of animated films due to severe boredom. Just plain genius creativity. Please note.

  • The Cheshire Cat is Alice's one tie to sanity in the whole story. He's the only one who she trusts, which I think is because he reminds her of Dinah. I love the whole "Oh, he did! Did what? Went that way! Who did? The White Rabbit! What rabbit? Oh dear! Can you stand on your head?" bit.

  • I absolutely love the Cheshire Cat! Him and Alice are like the 2 main cruxes of the film for me; he's like a twisted fairy godmother for her. I really hate how Tim Burton just reduced him to a bit part character made to be cute and for the odd line.

  • Favorite character of any movie!

  • does anyone ever notice how alice's voice sounds just like wendy on peter pan??????

  • @KillerofDreams777 They are voiced by the same girl! lol

  • Makes me want to live in cheshire, england :D

  • I love the Cheshire Cat's harmonica teeth at 0:39

  • y is it that mad people make more sense than sane people?

  • @RumnMonkey666, that's because he did the voice of winnie the pooh.

  • this is the only cat that haunts me while im sleepin

  • whoever made the script and drew that cat must have been trippin balls on LSD.

  • @PickYourVenom disney has made all its cartoons on acid :D

  • @Mijicm you ever seen dumbo and the pink dancing elephants? you won't sleep for a week

  • @KillerofDreams777 That one is the scariest one! And it beats a lot of commercial horror films. Definitely!

  • he kinda sounds like winnie the pooh <3

  • @RumnMonkey666 Sterling Holloway voiced them both

  • @aornelas93 Ohhhh thank you i know something new now :) haha

  • @RumnMonkey666 and Kaa from the jungle book too i think

  • @RumnMonkey666 no shit sherlock.. sterling holloway plays the voice of winnie the pooh. as he does here with the cheshire cat.... moron

  • Did you hear him say "I'm the walrus" as 2:49 ?

  • HAHA Sterling Holloway has been an animal in like all his movies cat, snake, bear, mouse, stork man he is an amazing voice actor

  • The song that the cheshire cat is singing is actually the jabberwocky song! He was originally supposed to sing 'I'm odd' but there was something about the jabberwocky being in that scene. they cut out that song because either the jaberwocky was too scary, or the sequence was too long.

  • Cheshire Cat = winnie the pooh

  • i'm sorry, am I the only one who was super-freaked out by this guy and tweedledee and tweedledum when i was little?

  • "But i dont want to go among mad people."

"Well u cant help that, everyones mad here."

    BEST LINE EVER!!!!

  • @badfish42268 Yeah, sounds like a moment from everyone's life.

  • i love the cheshire cat i wish i was a cheshire cat

  • Sterling Holloway?

  • @IosonoOtakumanSemper exactically.

  • @er10b I knew it! I'm italian, but I love that particular voice!

  • He be Trollin

  • @MickyByte Indeed, at around 2:10 he just about manages a Troll Face (Cool Face).

  • That "What rabbit?" face is priceless.

  • "Well, she simply said that you're a fat, pompous, bad-tempered old tyrant!" Best line ever.

  • When my daughter was in elementary school she looked a lot like Disney's Alice. But when they did Alice for the school play she tried out for, and got, the white rabbit. Go figure.

  • AMEN.

  • This is x10 better than that shitty new remake of a flying cat that sounds like an emo bastard doing nothing mad at all... was so boring.

  • @grabus45654 at least this one sounds like Winnie the Pooh went crazy (same voice actor as Winnie the Pooh and Kaa from the Jungle Book) which is oddly pleasant.

  • @grabus45654

you mean the flying cat that was closer to the source material?

  • Ya gotta love the Cheshire cat haha

  • 1:48 - 1:55 funny

  • killer queens cake or death

  • Oh, no. Not this cat again. I adore cats, but this one used to scare the hell out of me. I thought I was over it, but the horror...never ends. O_O

  • @DoctorWho2002 Originally, this guy was even worse. He had lots of razor sharp teeth. Look up "david hall alice in wonderland" to see what I mean.

  • 9 people isnt mad D:

  • haha i got scared when his mouth was the last thing to float away

  • everyone's mad here. hahahaha

  • i want a cat like tht :D

  • Everyone does realize he is the most helpful/sensible person there, right? He's the only one who gives her a straight answer XD

  • @LollipopGuild8 Semi straight answers anyway. LOL LOL LOL

  • @LollipopGuild8 Which completely contradicts some of his other appearances, where he usually just speaks riddles lol.

  • That cat is all Boofed out lol

    smiles to much xD

  • Youtube's modern version of Wonderland, accordingly to Cheshire Cat's statement: everyone's mad here, and you can't really help that. Thumb up if you agree.

  • wow... the cat has the same voice as...... winnie the pooh....... correct me if i'm wrong... ^^ that cat's creepy and cute at the same time

  • This cat gave me nightmares...

  • Alice needs to stop smoking that pipe before she takes a nap.

  • i just realised he's singing the jabberwockey song

  • 9 people can not stand on their head.

  • @lukoshey79 It says so in the description.

  • im thinking the voice of the cheshire cat is the same voice as the stork that delivers dumbo to his mum in dumb, what do you think

  • 1:58 I've tried standing on my head before, but I gave myself quite the headache trying to get my head off in the first place. XD Besides, the actual book's pages on the Cheshire Cat, the Caterpillar, and the Mad Tea Party always came out as profound to me. =)

  • You may have noticed that i'm not all there myself!

    O_O

  • But I don't want to go among mad people!

Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. ahha hahahaha!

    <3

  • he does the voice of winnie the pooh - makes him even more awesome! :)

  • @FangedSurgeon Are you sure?

  • @moneygirl88 yup

  • @FangedSurgeon Have you check on online????

  • @moneygirl88 IMDB, but it's not necessary because they are the same voice. he's done a lot of disney movies - like he played Ka in the Jungle Book. and Roquefort in the Aristocats. i wouldn't post it on here without know who he was. he's one of my favourite voice actors. xxxxP

  • @FangedSurgeon Sterling Holloway:)

  • The Cheshire is my favorite!

I've been abruptly standing on my head and asking people that for years.

  • Sterling Holloway

  • 9 people can't stand on their head

  • what if that thing was real now?

what if he asked alice if she wanted to get high with him?

  • I want to get high with the Cheshire Cat some day...

  • lower the volume next time.

  • the cheshire cats theme is the jabberwocky poem

  • He is my all -time favorite character. I wish he was in more of the movie...

  • @TheSydneyVictoria me too!! i love him! i wish i was like him, causing trouble, but never getting in trouble 4 it :P

  • Lov it :D

  • The cat is wisdom basically..

  • Comment removed

  • it must be so cool to travel to Wonderland, I mean, yes I would love to drink tea with the Mad Hatter and meet the Cheshire Cat however I would steer clear from the Red Queen I like to keep my head

    :)

  • :))))

  • What rabbit? ( ゚Д゚)

Oh, I love you, Cheshire :3~

  • 'Well that all depends on where you want to go.'

Am I the only one who finds that so deep?

  • @TigressWhite It's get to, and not to go.

  • @TigressWhite Yeah you among other annoying people who want it to be

  • @TigressWhite "then it really doesn't matter which way you go" its even more deep, thats why i love this entire movie :O

  • @TigressWhite Not at all. Of course, the Cheshire Cat was always the sensible one. That's saying something. ;)

  • I used to be afraid of him when I was young... xDD But i really love this character. Neither good nor evil. Just. a cat. a purple cheshire cat ;)

  • Only one character I think of when I see the Cheshire Cat.

    Grell Sutcliff. ^^
