yea you need way more water in the bottom of the ashcatcher,that's what the splash guard can handle. draw harder on it as faast as possible< and get some beeline or a glow wand if your smoking glass this nice....and don't use acetone it weakens the glass if you soak it. isopropyl alcohol and kosher salt and a good shake.oxi clean soak it over night to make it new

also, for cleaning, acetone works best. it's way better than hot water and will get it looking much closer to brand new, especially if you can use another pipe while you soak it in acetone like overnight. it eats the resin right off.

you need more water in the ash catcher dude. those ash catchers have a much better downstem/chamber design so you can fill it to where the that connecting rod that supports the air chamber on the bottom meets the side of the water chamber. right up to the top of that rod. it will still pull easy and you will get a cleaner hit. i own that exact setup (in the same color as well) and it works great that way. also... clean that thing and put some ice in it...
