@seriousbe Why couldn't they? They have the knowledge and technology to produce any kind of car thats possible to built today. The question is, is it a good investment, will they sell enough of these to make profit..
@ThexNaaru Actually Citroen has connection to luxury, they've always made luxurious cars, especially now. Have you seen DS4 or DS5? They have interior quality that is comparable to Audi A8. Trust me what I tell you, in 10 years, germans will learn how to make luxury cars from french, just like in the old days. And how did you manage to put Chrysler into the same sentence as Audi, Mercedes and Citroen?
@derbigpr500 Ah well .. Chrysler is an American luxury car if I'm not mistaken and the merger with the italian brand Lancia made me believe it's a luxury car... :p
I'm not an expert when it comes to cars but I know that Audi, Mercedes, BMW only have very expensive luxury cars whereas Citroen has both reasonable priced ones and very expensive ones. But like I said, the link between "beauty and luxury" is stronger with France than it is with Germany (perceived quality is higher)
Depend on what you call quality. Anyway, any Citroen car have better road comfort than german cars. In fact, Citroen car are well known for being the more comfortable car in the world, and having tested many german and french car, both as driver and passenger, I can only agree with this statement. German cars break your ass and send you aside on every turn, french cars (moreover Citroens) seems like driving on silk.
Put the 3.0L Twin Turbo Diesel from the Audi A5 in it matched to a twin clutch auto. Hydractive III Suspension and an AWD system and this will be an incredible car.... Buuuuuuttt Citroen will probs go weird hybrid with front wheel drive and an EGS (Break my spine) gearbox. So sad, please get it right Citroen!!!
They won't produce it
French can't produce luxurious cars anymore..

@derbigpr500
It won't be a good investment, it has been a while since we've seen a real luxurious french car able to compete with german rivals (CItroen DS).
Since then, absolutely nothing, only crap.

Sadly .. Citroen does not have the connection with luxury cars unlike Audi, Mercedes or Crysler.. so there might just be a bit of an attitude problem.
Though the connection with the country of origin 'France' might just change all of that.
It's a nice car nonetheless :)

"Citroen car are well known for being the more comfortable car in the world"
They used too, and are still considered for being the most comfortable cars in the world....in France.
Just read a road test review in the french press and the french car will always win.A matter of pure protectionism.
Read a dutch,portuguese or i dunno test and you'll see some great differences..
