450Rs stock are the best for trails hands down, they have a ton of ground clearance and are easily modded to ride on a MX track (if your interested). i ride alot of trails on my LTR and everythings bent on the bottom...i ripped the plastic skid plate off the second day i got it because of the lack of ground clearance. however this is easily fixed by slapping on a pair of 20 inch tires.

I hate the gearing and lack of torque, but love almost everything else. Overall: It's a good one. But for trails I liked my old raptor 660 much better.

I would say kfx is a little over yfz in trails. It's got reverse- i ride alone sometimes and I would be in a deep trouble without that one few times. If I lived in U.S. I would go for the KTM 525 if I could afford that one.

i have a 450r and it is great for trails and the track. it has LOADS of torque and the suspension is pretty good, but mine is an 05 so no reverse =( that sucks

yami MAY be 5mph faster than kawa, but on which TRAIL (there is a reason why they are called trails and not open roads), or mx track...will you max out the craptor engine?? and, my friend: in accel. the kfx outstands the craptr. Plus...the rider skills are pretty important: allways the kfx rider will be better, though he is smarter....that is why he has a kfx. GO GREEN

yes- it has this opening side stand (don't know how to call it in English. The stand prevents from riding when it's open and shuts engine when it gets accidentially opened on a track - not useful mx feature I guess :-)
