  • Excellent message. I think the people trashing what you're saying just feel guilty that they're too lazy to do the right thing. Either that or their IQ is too low to comprehend what's going on regarding limited resources and our future. Next video put those wrappers into a pile next to that little cartridge! BTW did you know that some printer companies are making their ink cartridges where you can't refill them? Check before you buy your new printer.

  • for earth day, i celebrated by . .

    going to my local deli, purchasing as many sandwiches as possible, throwing them all in the trash, then taking those styrofoam boxes and digging them deep in the earth in various ity parks. it was awesome. i felt good afterward because i knew i had done my part that day!! also took all the non-biodegradable trash from my garbage and strewn it around as many school gardens as i could find.

    it truly was a WONDERFUL earth day!! yay!!!!

  • The 60s and 70s brought us "global cooling" we were told by the chicken littles that another ice age was just around the corner. The 90s brought us "global warming" the earth was ready to become another sun. Now it is 2009 and we have some saying global warming, others saying global cooling and yet others saying climate change. Basically it is all crap with chicken littles running around screaming the sky is falling. The planet goes through varous changes, there is no stable climate.

  • Actually, very few scientist predicted cooling in the 70s. Most were neutral or o the warming side. As time has past there has been an overwhelming consensus that the earth is warming and no reputable scientist is predicting cooling now.

  • The term climate change is used because it best describes the affects of global warming which is still happening. The is still a definite warming trend. Al Gore is not a scientist, I don't listen to him either, listen to scientist and your going to see that most of what Gore says makes sense.

  • Bravo! I hate the new kind of packaging that you can't get open. Yeah, she needed sissors to get the package open, and the product still plopped out on the table. I broke a new product this way, once. Earth-day, Smurf-day, just give us good old cardboard packages that are easy to open! I saear the companies spend more money (and waste more resorces) making sure we can't open the packages.

  • Get a Laser printer. Most companies would give you a free bubblejet, because you spend so much on cartridges.

    And you can ask the store not to bag small objects like ink cartridges. Lots of waste is consumer stupidity.

    I never get paperbags always plastic. there is a grocery store around here that recycles plastic bags and of course Best Buy recycles old ink cartridges.

    what i *did* say was simple. it's not an "awful video", it made its point and it wasn't over the top.

    obviously if you're going to start talking about subtlety and talent, you're on a different page of the book.

    regardless of intellectual value, the point remains, and is better shown like this than a simple spoken statement.

    bear in mind, i never said it was a "brilliant video" either. just one that got its point across.

  • I can't agree with Earth day. Why? Because it promotes an ideal that only ONE day out of the year you should think about what you recycle and what you throw out. I don't pretend to be an expert on the subject of recycling, but I do know that Earth Day is a day where people actually make more waste and trash then they would on a normal, average day for an American.

    It's the number of people that just don't care about our environment that makes me apathetic to the day when we are screwed.
