I think it also may have had something to do with going off the ideal line to overtake the Porsche. You enter the corner on the inside, which means you have to steer into it a lot harder than you normally would. Add in the bumpy and slippery curb and possibly oil on the track, and you have a recipe for disaster. Your quick reaction and a lot of luck save the day though :)

I might've done the same thing, but it seemed as if he didn't know where he was on the track, if he knew what was coming up, he would've braked a little harder and stayed behind the P-Car. He's lucky he just spun instead of hitting a wall.

Well the oil seems to be on the right side of the track. Late braking and shifted weight in combination with sharp turning angle on that curb (well, there were not many options with that Porsche on the right side, so this was only one option anyway) = nice spin. Those small mistakes happends. Anyway - GOOD SAVE! Saved yourself quite a lot of money :-).
