@VietnamAirForce I agree. At the time I didn't notice them too much, but looking back those are some really funky clouds. Notice I found a fix in more recent videos (I forget which one the fixed clouds start on).
Nice rolling fight in the last part of the vid. The 109 pilot made too much mistakes and you did a good job to benefit from them. I really like those long intense dogfights. Can make the palm of your hand very sweaty... :D
5;30 P51 should throttle down and stay level.. the 190 has a huge roll rate so he way aswell try and stick far behind his tail , to give him plenty of notice before the 190 tries to out-manouvre him.
@InflamableLynx It can be purchased on Steam for 10 dollars American. Look for IL2 Sturmovik 1946. Don't buy Pacific Fighters (which came out earlier), because 1946 includes Pacific Fighters and is half the price.
well, regardless of if it was incorrect or not, it certainly served its purpose effectively, and you made it look fairly easy as well. In fact, I joined a game right after watching this video to try and utilize it (to much failure of course ;D). Also you say you play on valor, did you turn the mods on after you recorded the footage to get the extra eye candy?I dont think valor has mods enabled does it?
@robob1988 Valor is indeed mod enabled, 4.08m -- I use 6DOF and the full 1.2 from AAA with some other personal additions. This video, however, was taken using HSFX4, which is 4.09m and thus can't be used on Valor. But I like the tracers, clouds, default skins, and some of the replacement cockpits better for my videos.
@FFulmenTheFinnish I have 2 il2 installs 4.08m with 1.1-1.2 + custom mods, and HSFX which is based on 4.09m -- HSFX is a "roll-up" that includes nearly all significant community content (6DOF, Zuti's, AI planes enabled with cockpits, almost all the good 3rd party planes, perfect map textures, advanced engine management, etc) without low quality fluff. All of this can be enabled and disabled via JSGME so this is probably the direction the IL2 community is heading. It's clearly a step up.
Oh and the mod format has been redone to repackage them in the original SFS file format, this makes the game load fast like it used to. There's actually been a lot of coding changes. Check it out and see.
YOOOOOOOO very good videos!! i´ve see your anouncement at AAA, came around here and.... lovely action time!! :D thanks! and of course, very very very good music!

@robob1988 It's called a "rolling scissors" and the FW190 excels at it. I wish I was better at it, I still perform it incorrectly quite frequently.

I second korppifinland!
Also, very nice to see more IL-2 videos being filmed with Ultra Pack 2.0 on.
FFulmenTheFinnish 2 years ago
@FFulmenTheFinnish It is actually HSFX. I don't use Ultrapack.
BigSilverHotdog 2 years ago
Ah. HSFX doesn't have as many planes etc. though. Or is HSFX actually a pure audio and graphical mod?

I've used JSGME to enable lots of that, but I disabled HSFX because for some reason it took out a lot of the planes that UP 2.0 introduced.
I'm getting a brand new computer capable of running anything on maximum settings, so my game should still load relatively fast, hehe.
