i have a iphone and it rules so frekin cool dude if any of you are reading this i say dont buy any game consoles or viriseon wirrells okay just buy a iphone
I already had my password for the iPhone set, but I still was unable to get Exchange to work. This video helped me because I let the app locate the server (which was completely different from my Desktop Exchange settings!) instead of manually adding the server name. This did the trick. I only had to add my email address, user name (complete with the domain and backslash) and my password. Great video and thanks.

This is what worked for us. You need to grant access to ActiveSync for any IP address.
-ISS > WebSites > Default Website > Microsoft Server ActiveSync -Right Click > Properties -Directory Restrictions Tab -Edit IP address and Domain Restrictions -Grant access -Apply
Finally got it to work after 4 weeks of pain and frustration.
Hope this helps.
