Hello again Vintageyellow. Wish I could but most are located in cental or northern communties of provinces were getting fire crews and equipment to a fire is a generally a long process. The Cl415s and Cl-215s and the Mars are used as first attack and to kill or maintain fires until crews arrive. California has more ground equipment and personal that is the envy of most nations but unwilling to lease(let alone)own these aircraft. Just interested.
Great info. Thanks for your telling me. It is ineresting how we have so many people on the ground here but it seems that we get so many wanabees that some firefighter seems to start some of these big fires so they can go work. I know, sounds bad but its for real.
heyy ..im from australia ...hav u heard bout the victoria bushfires...over 190 people died...fires still rageing out of control....do u rekon they would bring the super scoopers over here...to help us...coz we really need it...plz try and ask some1 for help...we need it.plz get bak to me
Hello Vintageyellow, There are plenty of Cl-215T and Cl-415 "super scopers" which sit idle in Canada after mid-September(50 or so). That is not to mention Two Martin Mars( when Mars attacks!)with 7200 gallons of water and foam.
Everything is just a call away.
Where the aircaft get the glory, the men and women on the ground do the hard part!!!
Wow, that's cool. It would be cool to see the parking lot of planes. Your right the ground crew work to exhaustion on these fires that's for sure. Shoot some vids of the parking lot of planes and post it as a response to my vid. It would be a great addition to the story of these great planes. Thanks for your comments.
Wow!! None of you people know what your taking about. It's actually quite entertaining!
