That's a good idea actually. Give a debt collector an elevator phone number. I hate debt collectors, somebody truly has to be an asshole to do that job. To be able to call people that obviously are going through hard times and harass them for money, they must all be sociopaths to not feel sorry for the people they're harassing. I think someone should start a listing of debt collector phone numbers and get a huge group of people together and call them every single day and tie up their phone lines
I love how they try to trap people. That is their training at work. His mindset, is that he caught you at home, and by golly, he is going to get his way. LOL!
Fucking stupid ass debt harrassers are just about the only people that would blantanly call you a liar when you tell them the truth. Since when is it professional to do that???? Since its the company and not the customer who claims to professional. Hypocrits.
This is because some systems that the different agencies have the systems dial automatically. Plus the people that are in debt don't make it easy for debt collectors either. Their first response is to be aggravated amongst other emotions just like the client. I agree some debt collectors are rude but there are some really want to help.
Doesn't that guy on the phone understand English? If he dialed the wrong number, simply verify it, apologize, and don't call the number again. Don't even waste your time with this guy on the phone.
I have worked in call centers on and off for the last 26 years, and if I ever got a wrong number, I would simply verify it, apologize, and then take it off the calling list.

Wow that's completely dumb. There are debt collectors who swear up and down that you are that person, and you're not that person.
