I'm humming that store music theme now. It's pretty odd when they are talking Japanese and then they say CD, DVD. Those words just don't fit with the Japanese language when that lady announces it.
Everytime the manager of Hard off sees luke walk into the store, he must grin like a chesire cat and make a mental note to order bag loads of stuff in afterwards
Nevermind I was able to figure out what it said after watching it a bit. It's Derby Stallion '96 and the slot is for a memory card for Satellaview exchange (looked it up on Wikipedia.)
A shop like that is a game collectors dream i would spend all my money in that shop. There is know shops like that here in Ireland so i have to buy all my games off ebay and shipping cost are a bitch.
See all those Super Famicom games there? A few years ago I got a nice big box from Japan with about that many games in there, had duplicates of some of the best games, I think some Japanese store was having a clear out or something but that was one of the best packages I ever got :-)
I hardly ever shop at Gamestop. I just hate their busniess practices. Buying games from ppl then turning around and selling it for twice as much or w/e. This Visco shop looks really cool. Wish we had more of these back in the states.
Doki Doki panic was released first....Mario 2 was ripped of the game...hence how you'll notice the egyptian stages which Super Mario really wasnt involved in before the bizarre transition
man if i was there i woulda brought 400 bucks and a big bag then only arrive to japan with two outfits and waterbottle, going solid snake in the hard off!
I gotta agree with heftymadmonkey, if this was a tv-show, i'd be glued to the screen every time it was shown ^^
I really love these vids! Just finding those "not that special" carts and games around here would be the highlight of my month ;)
Now, im gonna zoom over to the next vid, to see what you actually picked up, but man, never stop making these vids! Or any of your other vids for that matter! :)
"Adult games" did you get some later when the camera was off?
How much were the GT and PC Engine laptop thing? They never got UK releases, although the games shop I worked at as a kid, imported a GT and I used to play SF II on it.
