  • Holy crap! Drinking bong water on a kids' show?? LMAO!! Damn, today's kids shows suck in comparison! LOL

  • LOL. I remember watching all their shows as a kid. :)

  • Chucky was one of the funniest parts of the show.

  • I must've been 8 or 9 back when I use to watch this. Great memories!!

  • Wow! I remember this! My favorite sequence (next to Fabulous Freddie) from the Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show, one of my favorite Saturday morning TV indulgences. They really knew how to make comedy back then. Thanks for bringing it back!

  • This was great...the 70s was just such a cool era. I was born in 69, and I got to grow up with all the cool television and the great songs of the 70s, and it was just a magical time. It's a shame that the older I got, the more "UNcool" everything got! :/

  • LOL

  • I wonder what happened w/ Chucky and Cindy Schwartz? Did they end up getting married w/ 10 kids?...LMAO! I miss this too! Glad to see that Brett is okay!

  • bong water..that is awesome

  • Wow, does this bring back memories?!

  • TV just seemed to be better back then.

  • Who could ever forget Chucky Margolis? Still so funny years so many years later. Brilliant!!!

  • What a great alias to use on somebody! "What's your name, sir?" "Margolis, Chuckie Margolis", "and, what would you like on your pizza, Mr. Margolis?"

I wonder if anyone would get it?

    Doubtful.

  • A friend and I played out Chucky Margolis bits for the neighborhood back when they were popular....

  • One of the Chucky sketches ended up on one of their albums. Sadly, I no longer have the album.

  • One of the production types on the show was named Margolis. I guess that was a tribute to his kid or something. Whatever, I loved this show and that was my favorite skit.

  • i used to love this show especially this sketch.............and rod hull was hilarious

  • I used to have the LP

  • Did I just hear them do a skit about a six year old kid drinking bong water? On a kids' show?

    GOD I miss the 70's.

  • It is one of my fave segments.

  • Hey Mar-go-lis!!!

  • Just got the DVD of this show, and its brilliant, never laughed so much in my life, (thank god for multi regional DVD players).

  • more chucky videos please!!!!!!!! this was my favorite part of show...had forgotten all about it.

  • The Margolis skits were the only things on Razzle Dazzle that weren't funny.

  • @CanadaFamilyMan well, i just watched this and laughed as hard as i did when i was a kid and watched this. what you mean is that they weren't funny to you. different people find different things funny. for instance, i think the three stooges is stupid. my son thinks they are hysterical.

  • @eydie57 OK, I'll give you that.

  • LOL! I remember this exact one, but I 'd forgotten the joke about them drinking the bongwater.... eeeeeeeeeeew!

  • LOL ~ I totally forgot about Chucky Margolis until my dad said something about having his birthday cake thrown down into the basement to him like CM. ahahaha...I knew YouTube would have a clip! lol ~ thanks : )

  • no thanks: TRYING TO CUT DOWN!

  • A Bong? wow i did not know you could say that in those days

  • If you don't already have it, get a copy of the movie "Hysterical" starring the Hudson Brothers and a GREAT bunch of actors doing a spoof of various scary movies. Absolutely priceless.

  • If you want the Peagy Peagy skit, you need to buy the DVD of the TV show.

  • While most boys were hanging their Farrah posters, I was watching this. 'nuff said. Who'd thunk that Bill would marry Goldie? "Hey Margolis!" no thanks...I'm trying to cut down.

  • @kurtnj63 This is before Farrah posters...

  • I loved this show and especially this segment. Are there other Chucky Margolis videos???

  • That's the only one that I have. :(

  • What a great memory! Loved this show!

  • :D thanks mom! this is awesome

  • I used to have this skit memorized back in the day. Watched it every Saturday.

  • Ho hum, another boring day on the island of Peagy Peagy. Can't seem to find a clip of that skit. Anyone seen it on 'Tube?

  • Man !!!!!!!, "just another boring day day on the island of Peagy Peagy! I'd love too see the clip of these three guys on that stupid rock holding on to that one small palm tree!!!! Thanks for reminding me!

  • omg my dad sent me this link

  • my mom loved this and hse got me hooked :D

  • omg!!..this was GREAT!! I don't remember watching them on Saturday mornings...was probably not into Sat morning shows at the time. But I do remember them being a summer replacement show. And you have to remember....no VCRs...you watched it once and that was pretty much it! And damn those guys were HOT!! I bet I didn't even get the bong part back then. lmao.

  • 5 year old Allen with a full mustache! LOL

  • Yikes! The studio audience sure is easy to please. :(

  • I remember the intro to RD was the same and seemed to take up the first 5 min.of the show every week, but as a kid,it was worth waiting for! This was entertainment for us,remember,we didn't have video games, computers.and satellite tv,but we did have something you have very little of now,Saturday morning anticipation!

  • Have you got the sketch that followed this one? I think I need a longer look at that barmaid. Hubba hubba!

  • Nope, this is the only sketch I had, but they're out on DVD now.

  • I was in my early 20's when this show was on. I remember the Hudsons as being fine musicians, even though their music was not really mainstream. My mother used to watch this and enjoyed the comedy bits.

  • I watched their show when I was in grade school and laughed my butt off every Saturday morning. We used to go around school saying "Hey mar-GO-lis". Thanks for posting!

  • except it wasn't on saturdays where i lived at the time (alabama) but i loved the show. i couldn't wait for the chucki segment..

  • You know, at least part of this routine - the bit about the bong - was on their "Hollywood Situation" album. Because I remember that when Alan says he saw Robin Hood Chucky hits him and says, "You did NOT see Robin Hood!" Then turns to Mark and says "But I did see..." and he says the name of another fictional character that I can't remember. God, I wish I still had that album.

  • was it the Wizard of Oz ?

  • Hmmm...I don't think so. I think it was a female character. Somebody out there

HAS to have that album and can tell us, right? :-)

  • You know...I think it was Cinderella!

  • You're right...it was Cinderella! God I cannot believe I can remember that all these years later:)!

  • And what I love was the completely spot-on delivery that Brett had of that line...just like any 6 year old who was telling that story. "But I did see Cinderella!" It was SO funny!

  • DVD

    wherewhatwho???

  • It's actually Alan Audi Greco.

  • Alan Margolis: the only six year old kid with a moustache....

  • This particular episode of Chucky Margolis is featured on Disc 3 of the DVD set.

  • I remember this so foundly. I was a teen in the 70s when this show was on. Hey that's Kate Hudson's dad. LOL

  • I didn't know their series had been released on DVD so I went right to Amazon and ordered it!! I loved these guys, especially Brett!!

  • just precious! almost forgot that show existed. thanks for the uploads!

  • These guys were a total hoot! Just got the DVD set in the mail

  • They're on DVD?!?!?!?

  • Yes! The 3 disc set was released on June 17th and is available on Amazon and other sites. The set has the

complete saturday morning show plus highlights from

the summer replacement show. I'm surprised they didn't

include those as it was only on for about a month. The

quality of the DVD's is excellent. Vivid colors and clear

picture. The audio is great too. There are quite a few

Chuckie Margolis episodes on the first two discs and

three bonus episodes from the summer show on disc 3.

    Enjoy!

  • Damn...all the really cool DVDs come out when I have no money. :-( But thanks for posting this.

  • The DVD is quite affordable so hang in there, I'm sure it will be available for a while. Check Amazon for a used copy, you can get good prices on stuff there.

  • Unless it's "Hysterical". ;-) Thanks. I'll keep my eyes open.

  • That's true! :)

  • WHERE did you get this footage? OMG! I have gone back in time!! I was in high school in 1974 when The Hudson Brothers were on and a classmate of mine and I did the entire Chucky Margolis skit for drama classes at our high school & everyone loved it, especially the drama teacher who kept asking us to do it for other classes! We had the baseball hats on our head and everything like they were dressed. We basically lip-synched (LOL) while the album played but back then, it sure got a lot of laughs!

  • Buy it on dvd. I just got mine in the mail today. The complete series was released.

  • Great memories. Chucky was hilarious. Ho hum, another boring day on the isle of Pigi Pigi...

  • I adore the Hudson Brothers! You just can't keep a straight face when watching Chucky Margolis. Thanks for posting it!

  • You gotta love the 70s! Can you imagine trying to get a marijuana joke on a kids show past the network censors in this day and age?

  • HEY-Y-Y mar-r-r GO-O-O li-i-i-s-s

  • The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show - The Complete Series is $29.98 SRP for 355 minutes' running time, and VSC will release this on June 3rd.

  • Thanks for posting!! I loved the Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle show, especially Chucky Margolis. That was really funny; I haven't seen that in years. Thanks

  • Have to wonder about how that bit about drinking bong water made it to tv in those days.

  • hahaha. I haven't seen that show since I was eight. Loved it. I wanna see some clips of the Emu guy that was on the show. He was great.

  • That's the only thing I have!

  • That was so funny! Thanks for posting it!

    Hey Mar-go-lis!!

  • I miss these guys. When I was a kid I would die laughing at this kind of stuff.

I highly recommend their film called "Hysterical" from the early 80s. It's pretty funny.

  • I have been looking for Chucky Margolis clips for so long!!! Thanks for posting this!

  • Thank you so very much!!!!! Seeing that has made my day! I do hope that someone will release the summer replacement shows along with the Razzle Dazzle show. Bill still makes my heart melt after all these years.

  • Hahahahahahahah!!! LOVE it!! Thank you SO much!

    More Hudsons! More Chucky, please!

    :-D
