As you're sliding out you want to zoom in, you want to keep the same amount of space on each side of your object or it'll look amateur like mine. Or start zoomed in, move forward, and slowly zoom out; Either way makes a good effect. Thanks for the comment!
@splinterbluepill two techniques to this. ZODI (zoom out dolly in)allow the background to move closer to the subject you move the camera towards the subject and zoom out. ZIDO (zoom in dolly out) allow the background to move from the subject you move away from the subject and zoom in.

Sliding camera forward and zooming out or sliding backwards and moving in? How is this done? I was watching La Hain and it boggled my mind!
