  • So tired & pissed to hear people say Terry broke up the band (NOT TRUE) & that it's his fault Jerry doesn't want to come back or band is worthless without Jerry. Get your facts straight people before saying bs.

    After the US tour, Specials that had been working & fighting non-stop were exhausted. It was so bad they used to punch each other in the face (could explain Jerry's toothless grin) &they continued without the 3 that left, for a while. Plus Terry had fallen ill & couldn't take it anymore

  • Just when you think youve seen all the Specials footage you come across more. Jerry Dammers was cool as fuck. Love The Specials grew up listenin to em. Carnt belive those three fucked it off to form Fun boy three. They should have done a couple more Albums.

  • That little interview in between wit terry was like his final speech if you know wot i mean , the way he said everything was like he knew he was going to kill it off , he was going to quite the band . He was basicly saying i think that ''i changed England for a bit but the "fad" is done ''

  • At the same time I think it was time.. Madness and the English Beat eventually stopped doing the whole ska thing and More Specials was a step away from ska, as Dammers would have it -- a third album would have been even more foreign and major tension in the band could not hold any longer than it did.

  • Jerry Dammers was the leader, but it was never the same when Terry Hall left. It took Jerry Dammers and the remaining Specials members three years to produce another album after "More Specials."

  • Thanks Mike. The Specials/Terry Hall were the soundtrack to my youth, but as I live in NZ never got to see them live. So this is a real treat.
