@scoobymunster i would agree with your comment however i remeber 2 of the above bands marching in the brandywell for derry city football events and the hamilton inparticular marching from thier band hall in moore street to brooke park preforming concerts and then parading back, i do agree that some parades bring tension but the above bands are not sectarian and have some of the most talented musicians of the city within the ranks

great singing but i must show my concerns over the marching culture which has not been shown in this video the city of Londonderry has 3 of the best bands in the whole island of ireland and perhaps the uk in the William King Memorial Flute band Hamilton Flute Band and Churchill Flute Band

@darrendoc100 I think it was intentional not showing the marching culture. You can't deny that it is a slightly controversial issue here. The video showed what is good about Derry, and things that unite the people of this town, irrespective of religion.

An Grianan was built before there were artificial borders imposed, before there were counites Donegal and Derry. An Grianan is as much part of the history of the Derry area as Donegal. There is a common history before 1922.
