They are actually actors and actresses.this is just an official advertisement for Pekin Olympic game. Key to show the world how serious the nations treat it... I say,it's a fake video!
Awesome. I like the enthusiasm they put into speech, it becomes more than just language.
I wonder if they have Mango Languages in China? Once I get more comfortable and a larger vocabulary in Russian I'm going to learn Chinese, probably Mandarin.
Whenever I laugh, the picture of me trying to say my first FAIL Chinese words come back to my mind and remind me, "If I laugh, they'll laugh at me." So I laugh, but then I remind myself, at least they did an effort :)
Yeah kudos to all these people. I'm a native Canadian studying Mandarin at my university, and learning another language is damn hard... Especially a non-related language. The olympic volunteer guy was cool. I'd probably ask him questions and stop and listen just to be nice lol..
Hey chineses, don´t be mad at this video, at least, you´re making a huge effort to expand your knowledges, but americans. They don´t even care about their own culture, think about others!!!!
I'm Chinese, the point is, at least the Chinese are making an effort to learn a foreign language despite of its cultural barriers and demographically, it's difficult to pick up English. Before you make any ignorant racist comments, let me reiterate this: can you even speak Chinese?
@FruityDC i work at a casino which is filled with chinese, i wish i could learn to speak it to help the people out that dont understand english well, but it seems sooo hard to understand
@FruityDC i'm just gonna say this real quick there is no such thing as Chinese as a language there is Mandarin and Cantonese and more...anyways wasn't gonna point that out i was gonna say something else just noticed you put Chinese instead of something else. I'm half Chinese from my dad's side he said i used to know it till i started going to school (i live in the U.S) anyways i try to learn it and i give props because it's hard for me. my dad and i try to help each other
@FruityDC i speak English and help him and he helps me with Mandarin. but yes i give props to anyone who knows Mandarin or any other language especially if they know 3 or more languages
LOL!! Ya gotta luv it!! LOL!! Makes you wonder if we Americans would ever go to the trouble of learning to speak another language just as these beautiful people did?
@Racingirl911 That's such a nice comment. I saw once a couple of US citizens yelling to a guy in Pisa, saying that it was his OBLIGATION to speak english. They weren't even able to say "grazie", that was so sad and off pisser...
"i cant stand my poor english/i want to change my life''???? thats terrible. especially cuz these two languages are so different its so hard to learn the other. and they have so much pressure on them to learn it
It's REALLY good for a old lady. Old people tend to have a harder time learning and remembering stuff... Even at around 20 years old.. normal people can't learn chinese.
Chinese is one of the hardest languages to learn in the world, compared to English.. which has an easy alphabet.. while chinese has a million different characters.
@DustBunii I cant agree. While english uses a romain alphabet all the time, Chinese has developed pinyin which is Chinese with romain characters.
English is well known as one of the hardest languages to learn because of the complexity of phrasing articles and because there are close to a million words.
You could expect to find that a native english speaker and mandarin speaker starting training in the opposite language will see more progress made by the english speaker learning chinese.
@m133573333 Well gotta say. You are wrong. A Chinese speaker will have more progress on English learning than English speaker who is learning Chinese.
@lello321 Yeah, I'm sure some have, but given anyone I know who has tried (two english speakers, learning chinese and two chinese speakers learning english) the pattern is just as I've stated, considering their subjective ability.
The two chinese speakers are still marginally profecient in english even given several years study in China AND having lived in the US for about 3 years.
So I'm not wrong, maybe you know personally of four cases with the inverse outcome, but no, I'm not wrong.
chinese are the most stupid dirty people in the world.Unlike Japanese, japanese reputation compared to dirty stupid copy china? Japan is way too smart for stupid dirty chinese
Im so proud that my language has spread throughout the world, im learning chinese through my friend whose from central china nd yes his English is well funny but we joke about it lol ha ha
This really shocked me especially the old people in the video. I believe most Chinese people who have seen this video would be strongly encouraged in english learning, including me.
@poolopis01 no, british people are known to master or at least try to master at least several majorly spoken languages...french, german, japanese, hindi, chinese, ect. Americans will pick an European language in highschool and then forget 80-90% after college. Other than a couple words here and there, most American tourists are helpless in non-english speaking countries. I'm chinese and 24 years old, been to japan, china, germany, UK and currently living in the U.S. for 9 years so i know.
@zhihao1 and how is that our faults? If there are not classes availably open for people to take then its very difficult to learn. I took Spanish for 8 years and can barely hold a conversation with a spanish speaking person, its not my fault, the schools only teach you so much.
aww don't laugh at them they are trying so hard!
