That was awesome. I had the same thing happen when I was flying north out of PHX. I had no idea how close they were until I realized I could see they yellow with black strap ties that the pilots of the other plane were wearing. Lol!
It isn't dangerous at all. The Lufthansa plane was probably 1,000 feet below the plane that the video was shot from. Scenes like this happen all the time on a lot of flights.
Cool

@Aeroflote662 Get glasses! Clearly an Airbus.
catrachocolo 1 year ago
@Aeroflote662 it's actually airbus because the winglets of e-170 is bigger than the airbus

Did the pilots remember to flip the other guys off? I hope they remembered that from training.

I love the effect of crossing traffic where it looks like the other plane is flying sideways for a few seconds.

that is pretty damm close. Too close for comfort. 1000ft is still pretty close. With so many planes in the air I can imagine it happens all the time.

Epic :)

It is perfectly normal procedures guys- there was 1000ft separation here. This is what is required by ATC.
I do this for a living- trust the pilots- we DO know what is happening up the front!

But that second plane flought under not in front :D

Certainly not dangerous, I agree. Fly around Europe and you'll see other aircraft fly-by all the time. ALL the time.
