It is amazing to hear that you will be 18 soon. Welcome to the real world. Enjoy yourself and happy birthday. In my case, I did not feel any thing, because, I started taking decisions by myself when I was 12. So growing up, to me was like progression. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU.
I actually didn't feel all that different when I turned 18, mostly becasue I didn't want to be an adult then xD But if you're looking forward to it, you may feel different :)
