There was a strong push to apply the RICO statutes against the corporate criminals at ENRON CORP. Since the BUSH Attorney General was Alberto Gonzales who himself was an ENRON lawyer, this was shot down early on as well as the proposed prosecution of Vinson & Elkins law firm who was where Gonzales worked. RICO would be an excellent tool to use against ORGANIZED CORPORATE CRIMINALS.
