  • I'm gonna ask a real dumb question...lol. The STi seems undetectable to the Spectre but say a policeman pulls you over for seat-belt violation or waiting at an intersection next to you and notices the STi mounted to your windshield, what happens then? Would you get an extra ticket like that and get the unit confiscated?

  • Can you post a video showing the escort redline immunity?

  • no dont have one sorry

  • I wonder how come V1 isn't 100% immune to Spectre.....

  • cuase it is not designed that way

  • Ok How about this. Your radar detector sounds, you get closer, it alerts you even more intensly and then UNPLUG the damn thing and look for cops. Works for me.

Plug it back in when you are safe.

  • Or instead of that, make a custom kill switch for it.

  • Problem solved. As soon as you get the warning...wait a bit and then when the warning becomes more intense, use the switch.

    It's to easy!

  • your detector wont pick up the R.d.d - So eitheir you've never ran across an officer using it.. or you've just got shit lucky... from an officer who did not wish too tag you.

  • Not the R.D.D. but the radar emissions themselves. Just unplug it and the spectre will not pick it up at all. No electricity, no emissions from the oscillator.

Not much of a chance of a false alarm where I live.

Wait untill it detect's radar, cut the power, slow down and look for cops.

  • lol dude, not sall cars that run Spectre run radar...infact an officer will very rarely run both at same time. U will get pinned with your attitude..trust me!

  • NOt where Iive. A bunch of new cocky kid cops. ; )

  • Also, my detector will pick up the officers radar before his Spectre picks up my radar detector. Actually, as you can see in this vid, all you have to do is shut it off.

  • Thats all you man, Once Officer train with the R.d.d and know where its comming from - they have your ass. let me know once you get some tickets for your detector been there done that. hate that lol.. Love states they are legal in

  • Really? How would they know iit was me and not the two or three cars that are usually ahead of me?

Well they are not picking up my Belltronic Sti now are they?

    LOL

  • They have barely any if at all for false alarms from my knowledge from what I was told from them.. but he was picking me up a pretty good distance.. I'm saving up for a Bel Sti-R currently - they look promising. accept they need a Rear mounted radar/laser system.... but that cost alittle extra which will be worth it. Not looking forward too all the wires but oh well. undetectable is undetectable, right?

  • Also, my commute to word os full of nothing but corners. I'll pick up the radar before they pick up me.

But, undetectable IS undetectable. That is sweet.

It's not like I go THAT fast. Maybe 100kph in an 80.

  • that isnt that fast, fast enough todo what the posted speed lmit should be, and enough time too get warning too slow down.

  • Well guess what, there is a young punk RCMP officer on my route to work and he would pull me over anyway.

  • dude your so wrong...you will get pinned long before the detector picks up radar....IO is your worst enemy!

  • Does the Spectre have false alarms like RDs do?

  • i live in new jersey so i dont care if they know i have a radar, i just ordered a 9500i !!!

  • So your test is proving that the 9500i is not worth it since it can easily be detected by cops? Im just wondering cuz i was thinking of getting a 9500i but since ive seen this im having doubts..any help?

  • if the spectre is used n your area then STi is the only option, escort 9500i is detectable at about 700mtrs away during our tests

  • Oh ok thanks for the help!

  • sorry im slow, but from your results, your proving that the bel sti is practically invisible form the spectre on all bands?

  • yes that is correct

  • Put the STi in front of the Spectre's horn, and it will detect the STi. But how far, that's what I want to know.

  • it will only detect it about 20 cm away and thats with the horn on the spectre. The spectre does set off Ka and K band on the STi tho.

  • Yea, Bel STI is pretty much the only detector on the market that is practically invisible to RDDs. But I'm still going to get the 9500i due to its features. Plus, I have seen the tests done with a Spectre IV against the 9500i and the cops need to get real close to the car.

  • are you for real, i detected the 9500i from over 500 mtrs away, your gunna get busted if you buy a 9500i!!!! You might want to wait for the 9500Ci remote unit, it will be spectre proof as well as GPS function! Watch my account, Im going to upload a video tonight of the 9500i being detected at great distances.

  • Wow, well, to be honest, I have only seen test results using the Spectre III and they could only get it at 600 feet (not meters) which were much better results than any other detector they tested, except the STI. I live next door to VA, so still wondering if I should get the STI or 9500i. I really like the 9500i and might get it still. Thanks for the videos, I'll be happy to see them, thanks :) Oh by the way, you know anything about using radar detectors in South Africa?

  • yeah those test results are CP,s results, all false results, at least i have video proof of my results so you can see they are true.

    dont know much about SA.
