  • Did you see this tribute DVD? It is an amazing show & definitely worth buying it. I love their family style of playing where they each solo for a minute or two & keep going around the circle. Of course as far as I'm concerned they could keep going forever :) I really LOVE this song, found SRV after he was gone, am grateful there is so much of his work available to me and he'll always have a place in my heart & spirit. :)

  • Love that song

  • "I've been waiting for you brother, welcome to the band"... With Stevie aboard no heavenly choir sounds the same as before his death...

  • ANOTHER BLUES STRINGER BACK HOME

  • I can't stop the tears...they've been rolling down my cheeks for 21 years now...

  • @AscensionSEO same here

  • 8+ minute long live video, BEST song from SRV tribute DVD, this is the song written by Art Neville about Stevie Ray Vaughan's death, here performed by the best blues musicians ALIVE today, from the DVD I just rewatched this again last night so I'd know the song to share with friends today. This is the best DVD, besides Pink Floyd's Pulse, I've ever owned/seen/had.

  • Jimmy , Stevie is smiling down with great admiration.....you carrying on this gift you both were blessed with , your the best brother and show such passion, just love you so much!

  • WOW! you got em all! Dr. John, BB, Bonnie, God, Buddy, Jimmie, Cray, Neville, Tommy Shannon! What a lineup!

  • rip stevie we miss u

  • 6:57 Clapton is such a fucking legend!

  • That Bonnie is one sexy Lady'

  • Jimmie is a leg, this is so awesome, he gives it real guts, and its hard work i think and it shows, a complex guitar part beautifically crafted to rise above the other amazing players, yet he is at the front runnin the gig and diggin it. My kids even love this one, and try and listen to his album Strange Pleasure - you will not be disappointed, Jimmie u is da man !!!!!!!! love andie t

  • @chevrolet3370 No problem. I wish my French was as good as your English, and I'm 41 years old. Also, it's good to know that a person your age is listening to this music.

  • I saw Jimmie do this song live too, and it brought tears to many eyes. I loved Stevie and always will. It must be hard for Jimmie to have kept on.

And speaking of heartbreaking songs, check out Angela Strehli's SRV from her Blue Highway album.

  • wonderful! brought a tear to me eye

SRV is my fav guitarist ... mbbe he wasnt quite a virtuoso like Malmsteen or Vai, but he had the most wonderful .... musical sensibility I suppose .... of any guitarist Ive ever herd

  • You can see the Heart Break in Jimmie R.I.P. SWEET ANGEL SRV ♥♥♥♥♥

  • it's funny how they keep laughing at Jimmie. I would love to know the inside joke...

  • I LOVE this song!!!!!!!!!! When Jimmie sang the line about "voodoo chile" wecoming him to heaven, I got serious goose bumps! It's wonderful to see and hear so many giants of the blues paying Stevie tribute. RIP Stevie! I'm positive you're rockin' Heaven in the best band ever!

  • I'd never seen this till just now and gottdammitt it brought tears to my eyes. What a terriffic ensemble of the finest blues pickers in the world contributing their own individual and distinct talents to create this heavenly guitar/vocal chorus in tribute to the best guitarist who ever lived. RIP SRV.

  • @clongprong It did for me too things like this always do I am kind of a softie I may not admit most of the time but its the truth.

  • @guitarfreakRSS Maybe the younger generation isn't so bad after all. I can already tell you're a good kid. Keep music in your soul and ALWAYS remember that you care about people. God bless you and your's, kid!

  • @clongprong

I've said it a million times: look at the comments on ANY videos about rock and blues music.... you'll find people of all ages saying that "today's music sucks" and younger people saying "i dont identify with today's music". There's millions of people saying it. Eventually something has to break.

The garbage they are pumping out today doesn't hold a candle to rock, grunge, blues or jazz, and plenty of young people know it.

  • GOD BLESS R.I.P. ANGEL ♥ What a horrible loose we miss you ♥

  • Love how Jimmie looks to the sky on the line "i've been waiting on ya brother".

Great song, great performance and an awesome group of "stringers" on stage,, none no "better" than the other.

  • Comment removed

  • SRV was the greatest guitar player, All on that stage were great in the own rights... remember Stevie loved them all.... Probably goes without saying , Jimmy the most.

  • is that all you have to say, leavittobeaver? seriously? is that all you can see here? cos if it is, you have no soul, simple as

  • Stevie would think of no greater tribute I believe. He was such a sweet humble guy despite the amazing talent. I think his brother and "the legends" here would be an amazing tribute in his mind.

  • The funny thing is that Stevie's skills by far surpassed all those guys in the video. Yes even Clapton and BB King.

  • the best guitar players in the world right here.r.i.p. stevie we miss you

  • As Jimmie Vaughan stated in the interview, Neville sang on the demo recording. And the beginning/outro song IS Life By The Drop. P.S. For the don't already knows: SRV died in an absolutely foolish helicopter accident at Alpine Valley, Wisconsin.

  • @RaquzaRage- Seen BB a few times, always dressed understated and plain, not flashy. He lets his music represent itself.

@mikeyaaa - I doubt Bonnie would like being thrown in with 'the other men'. She out-sings the men, but is not one herself.

  • Playing the legendary Hammond B3 organ:

    Dr. John

  • This one certainly brings tears to the eyes of this ol SRV fan. R.I.P. You are certainly missed and keep givin them angels a hard time my brother! ;)
