I really love his interpretation of it, but I feel that the staging down doesn't work for the song. The first half of it, it's like he's wooing the aunt instead of the girl, and during the whole part about her head falling on his shoulder doesn't really work for me. For one, the action doesn't match up, which I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact that they don't like in love. It isn't intimate. He's just singing away instead doing something simple like patting her head or shoulder.

Hugh is great!! But I still have to say that Gordon McRae's version is just a little bit better, more natural Southwestern American English 'twang' or as the rest of the world would say 'accent'.

Oooh this was peerfect!! I love Hugh Jackman but I'm going to have to agree with the posts favouring Gordon McRae's version. Gordon's voice was PERFECT for Curly and I still get tingles everytime I watch him sing in this movie and in Carousel. Hugh is great to be sure but Gordon is a legend. : )

I love his shows... but his performance in the boy from oz is the greatest! you jsut have to love his voice, he's born for musicals, even though his performance as Wolverine is great. It's as if he has two opposite characteres.. he's so badass as wolverine but in nature he's just the nicest guy ever (I know it was acting but still it's difficult to play a role that's against your nature)
