I know they think this is a good marketing strategy because parents will be buying toys for kids for Christmas and birthday presents. But have they not realized that the ones who are going to KEEP buying tranformers for an extended period of time (as opposed to sporadically during special times of every year by parents of kids who might just have a transient interest in TF) are the COLLECTORS (teens & above)

@CaptainPsychosis I really want to see the marketing research showing that indeed the bulk of current TF toy products are purchased by parents of little kids who watched these animated shows and ended up persuading their parents to buy the show's representative toys. I know some collectors enjoy the cute animated versions of TF (myself included), but I have a feeling that most of us collectors, casual or hardcore, would rather watch something likened to the style used in WFC or some of the comic
