@perdybirdie Maybe, you didn't damp your hair? Damping your hair can make your hair more manageable and it provides the cocoons to have grip and not fall off. Also you have to leave hair sticking out so it serves a lock so your cocoons don't untie and also that is the same hair that you are going to pull to release the cocoons.

@mayasbeauty If you cocooned it the right way, you will never have knots on your hair. That's the purpose of the excess hair that supposedly has to stick out from the cocoons. It is meant to untie your cocoons without tangling your hair!
