  • a very good information for the user of this Sig bought without any notice.... Thank's for the way of presenting "relax an funny"

    alphilge

  • Where did you buy it and how much

  • @LEDGISTER

I bought it used from someone, so that's not really informative.

  • Thanks for the vid, very informative!

I just ordered one of these today, should be in Wednesday, I'm stoked.

I noticed that yours had the threaded barrel?!? Did yours come that way, or did you add it? And if you don't mind me asking, when did you get it and what does your serial number start with? (I think mine starts with an F)

  • Hello again. After watching this video for many times - this is very instructive as I can tell what I have to do when I get mine. When the barrel is removed I can use my dremel to polish the ramp (but not too much) until it gets shiney & smooth. Quite a few people have polished their ramp until you cannot see any trace of what the original design was. They do claim that NOW they can shoot any type of .22LR ammo without any feeding problems at all. Thank You for helping me. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Would I be able to take the barrel weight off and put the sight from it on the actual slide

  • What are those gloves for...?

  • @merrickx

    Style. ;-)

  • Hello again. Useful if I ever wanted to disassemble & remove barrel. I am still contemplating the purchase. So, what is the tattoo on Rt. forearm? Any meaning? I enjoy your vids & your wife's vids as well. We are both very lucky to have found women who are very matched to our lifestyle/outlook/etc. Sincerely,d JAMES.

  • @buzzclark Oh sorry I forgot one question - Did you polish the feed ramp on your Mosquito? It looks well worn & also I notice other wear marks as well. About how many rounds have been fired thru it? Thanks again. Sincerely,d JAMES.

  • @buzzclark

No, I haven't polished the feed ramp. I'm not sure how many rounds haven been fired... if I had to guess I'd say something between 2000 and 2500.

  • @SkallagrimNilsson Hi. Thank you for the reply. There is sort of a movement here in America because such a Big name such as Sig Sauer would turn out a .22LR pistol that was intended as a learning platform with such a long trigger pull. The design however has defects because the barrel has no "tang" or overhand & until it is broken in it has quite a few problems. Most people solve these problems by polishing. THX. JAMES.

  • @buzzclark

Yes, the tattoo is Cara's name in runes.

  • coud i use those threads on the end of the barrel to put on a suppresor

  • @paintballer533

That's what they are there for. =)

  • ballistol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what's with the billy idol gloves?

  • @sniegowski1991

*shrug* Well, my hands were looking kind of messed up that day.

  • i wasn't trying to be rude, i was just curious. i'm a big fan of billy idol

  • @sniegowski1991

No problem, I didn't suspect any rudeness there. And even if, who gives a damn anyway... =)

  • @SkallagrimNilsson ... good to see that some people can take a joke, and not start cussing up a storm when a simple question is asked...

  • @oldwithgold

Yes, it's definitely a nice handgun, though it doesn't eat all kinds of ammo without problems (Federal American Eagle didn't work well in this one).

Usually I also clean it without disassembling it so far. But sometimes it's handy to do so for a more thorough cleaning. I've also disassembled it completely once to clean all parts, and that improved the trigger pull (it's much smoother now and not gritty anymore as it was before).

  • @righteousmotherfuck

Yes, as far as I know all modern firearms have rifled barrels.

  • skickar du en låda minimags till mig? =D

  • They don't sell the Sport version with the threaded barrel feature any more now, right?

  • Where did you get your barrel threaded?

  • It came like that, as one of the features of the Sport version.

  • My mosquito sport does not have the threaded barrel end as shown in this video. The barrel end sits flush with the barrel weight.

  • Really nice gun, you are getting quite a nice collection there....

  • Yeah, the more the merrier. ^_^

  • where did you get the tool to remove the barrel front piece

  • It came together with the gun.

  • Great Video!

    Five Stars!!

  • Thank you. =)

The sound quality is rather screwed though...

  • It's not all that bad. BTW how do you like that Sig? Have you ever had a Glock? I will check out some more of your videos today...

  • Well, it's not bad but not great either. The trigger pull could definitely be better and the magazine safety is annoying. It's also ammo sensitive, though on the other hand, which .22 isn't?

The grip has a pretty nice feeling and I can accept it as a "real pistol", unlike the Ruger MK III or even the more "competition styled" models for instance...

Yes, I have a Glock... *sigh* I just wish it behaved like Glocks normally do.

  • UUUU.... nice gun !!! i love it...

so... i just buy Mosquito with the cii STINGER ammunition... and ...WoW...

maybe you who use it for some time. You have noticed something wrong or needs special attention?

  • Don't remember if I said this in the video, but the trigger on this one was kind of gritty and needed some lubrication. A strange thing is the magazine safety: you cannot pull the trigger without an inserted magazine. Can be darn confusing if you don't know that.

Other than that, it didn't seem to work well with Federal ammunition and even worse with Eley. CCI is apparently what I likes most.

  • thanks...

tomorrow I'm going for the first time at the shooting range to test the mosquito ... I want to see how it works ...

    bye

  • Hello. I do already have some .22lr target pistols (i.e. rugers, beretta, walther). Could you recommend this as a good shooting pistol? Ease of maintainence? I'd appreciate the advice. Thx. Sincerely, d JAMES.

  • Well, personally I'd say it's mediocre, neither great nor really bad. It has a heavy trigger pull and the trigger mechanism needs some lubrication, otherwise it's rather gritty. The sights are definitely not optimal for precision target shooting (too small). The accuracy Cara and I got with this pistol is not overwhelming. Maintenance is alright, definitely easier than a Ruger Mark III.

Overall, it's a matter of personal preference. I like how it feels (good grip for smaller hands) and it's ok.

  • This is one of my favorite all time pistols. It the only 22lr pistol that feels like a combat pistol (excluding 22 conversion kits). SkallagrimNilsson is right that it's not the most accurate 22. However, for combat handgun tactics/training, check out the accuracy I was able to get with it in some of my videos. Good luck.

  • you know i bet theres some idiot out there who tried to clean their gun with a bullet still in the gun :( lols

  • I guess cleaning a gun without safety checking first is related to natural selection. XD

  • haha good one :)

  • yeah thats a pretty cool gun there

  • Comment removed

  • very nice!
