What happens if the car is not on flat ground... The boom looks to have zero lowering ability. Nothing is a simple back up in the repo world well atleast not all of it
Now thats a very nice time saving bit of kit. Would make my job a lot easier and save my back if i had this set up on my recovery truck. Can this unit be shipped or bought in the UK.
Of course customers outfit their trucks according to their needs. Many repo trucks try hard not to look like a traditional wrecker and forego the lightbar...
tuck away some yellow strobes in the grille and front and reat window mounted strobes. right on minute... like an undercover police cruiser, you want to stay on the dl
why do they still have 90 degree nipple on top of the cylinder sticking out on the bottom .if you go under a car thats low it will rip the nipple right off.
If its backed into the driveway or a parking spot, Im getting it out someway. If its a manual transmission and I can get in It I will tow it from the front. Towing it backwards can make the front end drag. If I have to tow it backwards I automatically put dollies on it to get it up in the air.
Other than that 90 degree nipple it looks like a really good unit. I know nothing is perfect. It is also astoundingly fast for an electric pump model.
Yeah, I know it is... I own a clutch pump powered one. Look at my videos for the ARMS of it working! It's a SUPER unit! But the 90 degree nipple has no interference...
I put together a 96 3500HD ya know 1 1/2 ton with a reg 3500 chevy dually bed equipped with a texas transformer sling unit and a eagle claw type hideaway wheel lift. I can easily tow a hummer or and excursion on the sling and smooth drive ability down the road. also can tow a new caddy deville on the wheelift. This Is the most capable truck I have ever owned ALL Round. I used to have a 601b and if you go too heavy the lowering brace cracks at the welds!
cool towing hitch system for sure but the truck that new of a ford has to go bye bye no power strokes of efi gas forget it dude oh and its not a crew cab what the hell
i just thought you guys always worked in groups so i thought four door would make it easer to carry poeple and other things you might need on this type of situation
Usually one guy doing the job. Sometimes two... maybe.
But a regular cab does the job fine. And when you turn around to back up to something... you look directly out your back window. Not into some seats and a windows thats 3 feet back further...
I do use a crew cab dually as it is a multi purpose vehicle for me. I have the underbed Lift and Tow z series lift. Its not the fastest thing but it does a good job and kept me from having to dedicate a truck to repo work. If I had a truck that did repos only I would definitely get a Minuteman
Yeah, well the MinuteMan has better weight transfer, and with a clutch pump it's a lot faster than a Dynamic! And if you have it installed by a dealer, it's like 4k cheaper than the Dynamic bed...
Well sometimes you get what you pay for. I have looked at them but they do not look to be built as well. Everyone has their own opinions. Also, I am talking about a 601,701 and 801 style wrecker bed, not the underbed lift.
Well, for like $1,000 more you can have the hydraulic self loading head. It works that much better! It's worth every penny of the grand more! Definitely, so uh the original isn't bad. It gets the job done, but you can't do 90 degree angle grabs with the eagle claw.

Steering lock from steering wheel to foot brake pressed hard to the floor. Good luck towing sneaky then without looking dodgy!!

What a fuckin' nightmare.
I'm sure equipment like this is a thief's dream come true.
Time for me to strap my cars down. Even if it means created a barrier around every one of my cars.

Yeah... it really like never happens. For real. Especially if you know how to operate your MinuteMan great! But lack of good use can cause that...

this truck cannot pick up lift a hummer / a humvee
bestamerica 2 years ago
Rated lift capacity is 3500 LBS, towing is up to 7500 LBS depending on the truck. It is a LIGHT DUTY unit after all.

Yeah, the 601 and 701 are both great units! I used to have a 601B on an F-550... but now have the MinuteMan on a 3500HD.

Pound for pound, and for the cost, this is the best repo unit on the market!
And with a clutch pump on it, it's outrageously fast!
Faster than anything else on the market!
The arms wrap in about 1 second if the units equipped with a clutch pump!
