  • dude, do you know any brand that's QUIET? I'm after the capability of cooling the CPU and being quiet at the same time (or at least with less noise as much as possible). I'm a newbie and kinda building my own game machine so, maybe I could get some hints from you.

  • I think I'm getting this :)

What I need is a QUIET, cheap and small cooler. I'm not going to overclock.

I also appreciate ease of install.

  • @tontsa911 Wait, what? What's the point of getting this if you're not going to overclock? It's fairly quiet, but what the fuck man this is used for overlocking... that's why you see reviews on this cooler making it a good cpu cooler for overlocking.

  • @Shadowfury AMD stock cooler is too loud. It generally speaking sucks.

  • Search for Ranc00r comment begins...

  • I bought this fan, only problem is I wanted to convert it into a mini air conditioner for my desk, got myself a 12volt adapter, tried wiring the red and black wires together but didn't work. not sure what to do so if you guys have any suggestions or knowledge in regards to wiring then feel free to help me out as it's much appreciated :) thanks.

  • @keitholiverz have you got a spare usb cable? if so get a old pc fan to test it out remove the conectors from the fan have the wires showing...now get the usb cable cut it in half clean it up and have the wires showing...connect the wires and test it...once your happy clean every thing up...I did this with 2x 80mm fans connected to a usb cable to cool down my xbox 360..fitted the fans in a bracket

  • I have it on my i3. 46C on max load, was 58C on stock cooler.

  • This is a very good cooler.. switched from the 'jet-engine' phenom stock cooler and this one reduced the heat significantly, it's also really quiet so you can barely hear it. I really recommend this. It's a little painful to install beacuse its quite big a bit tricky to get it on the am3 socket with the clips, but it was worth it!

  • Had this before, worked excellent, very quiet fan, you can hardly hear it!

  • what about AM3+ ?

  • Is this any better than the standard CPU cooler included with the AMD Phenom II X6 1060T?

  • @LostINFERN0 I wouldn't recommend this CPU for an AMD system as the orientation is wrong! The fan should be blowing air out through the rear of the cases, but with AMD motherboards it can only face north or south (or up/down if you prefer).... So the hot air will either be blown onto your installed GPU or through a top mounted PSU. It doesn't cool the mosfets on an AMD system either (unlike the stock cooler).

  • @PowerPie5000 Okay should I stick with the standard AMD CPU cooler or do you have any recommendations?

  • @LostINFERN0 I use it with a X6 1090T, works great! Never been over 45C in load

  • 100 m³/h???

I've seen industrial vacuumpumps/compressors who displace less than this fucker...

  • I currently have this cooler, and my q200 idles at ~60C, owuld getting a coolermaster hyper 212 plus make a huge difference?

  • Yea LGA116. Read the description.

  • all this talking and nothing for the connector of the fan.....it's a 3-4pin ?

    Thanks

  • @MastorasCB600F its a cpu fan... no doubt its a 4 pin..

  • @Nate101Dawg Yeah for sure....I'm with ya, but in the past we've seen 3-pin cpu coolers that's why I asked..... ;-)

  • i have this cooler on my amd phenom ii 1055t and its very quiet

  • are you a boy or a girl? I can't tell your voice apart.:p

  • Is this compatible with my ASUS P7H55 Motheboard?

  • Will this fit onto a 1155 motherboard?

  • @mayhempk1backup1 Oh thanks but i got a h70 instead about a week ago ;)

  • @TheFR3SHINATOR yes i have myne fitted to my 1155 i5 2300 works great realy

  • @wackojacko793 Oh well, i settled with the Corsair H80 :)

  • newegg says its compatible with 1155 is that true

  • If you mod it can a Antec 120mm tricool fan fit on the heat sink?

  • i think im going to buy this one. does this push much more than the original intel cooler?

cuz my PSU is a lcpower 550w

  • Just ordered one of these for an old rig with a P4 Prescott in, which gets hotter than the sun and has an absolutely woeful worse-than-stock tiny Akasa cooler. (cpu was oem) It currently gets to 70-90c load and always lags like nothing else. Hopefully, this should fix it before it melts :3

  • @Neoplan6o did you remember to put a half a grain sized drop of Thermal Interface Material in the middle of the CPU before you installed the Heatsink? if not that is your problem, the Cooler is not getting proper contact with the CPU

  • @Ptro001 Yes, it has a perfect amount of thermal compound on it, it's just a crap cooler. The heatsink is about 2 inches tall, though I don't think the fact that it hasn't been dust cleaned in 2 years helps. :P

Thanks for trying to help, though. :)

  • @Neoplan6o its not that bad of a cooler, and it shouldnt be doing 70-90 on a prescott, the intel stock cooler does better than that, i think you did something wrong....

  • @Ptro001 Well, I actually put it into a different case recently (nzxt m59) and it now idles around 50c and gets to about 75c load. I think the previous case was suffocating it - the cooler is still awful though, trust me.

  • If you notice the top ends of the cpu cooler is gray sort of burnt? is that suppose to be like that or is it deffective. I got the same cpu cooler with those burnt tops and im kinds scared

  • @TechGamer67 mine is like that too. its no big deal

  • i cant find a video stating actual temp of cpu using these collers.

  • Comment removed

  • this thing sucks i just got it and replaced a stock fan for an amd phenom2 x2 560 and it made it get 2 degrees hOTTEr from 121 farenheit at load to 123.

  • Ah got it on AM3 board the fan will be at the bottom airflow from bottom to top. A lot better than having a fan right next to your psu!

  • Comment removed

  • What really annoys me about this cooler is the orientation for AM3 socket! Fan at the top right next to your psu fan aint good! It should be air flow right to left!

  • @Ranc00r I panic everytime I get a reply from someone who's arguing with me. Everytime my inbox says (1) new message I jump out of my skin and get nervous as to whether or not to read it to find out I've been owned. Then I browse the internet for a comeback that hasn't been too overused in the recent years before I start banging away on the keyboard hoping my new comeback will be enough to scare them kids off.

  • @iSpyCake you're honesty seems to have worked! sorry for the reply

  • @iSpyCake Cool story, whore.

  • @Ranc00r I spy a redditor!

  • i have a asus p8p67 motherboard i got it because it takes the i7 and this type of cpu cooler ownt fit the mother board. i think its because its a 1155 socket fucken raging now waste of money. oh well keep it for another project i suppose

  • also works with lga 1155

  • When you install this (on an AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 AM2 on MSI K9VGM-V) would the air flow from 'bottom to top' or 'right to left'?

  • got one really good :) works with amd phenom ii 565 3.4 ghz unlocked and overclocked to phenom ii x4 4.2 ghz

  • LGA116?

  • FUCKING hate unboxing videos. End them.

  • @Marshallnd Why watch it then?

  • @SluzBag1993 To see its relative size and positioning in a computer dumbass.

  • 92mm fan*****

  • Is this compatible with 1155?

  • @SluzBag1993 1156 is the same as 1155 so yes

  • @coolmitchg I'm not too sure it is.

  • @SluzBag1993 1156 has the same hole mountings as 1155

  • Does this fit an Intel Core i7 2600K?

  • Would this fit on an ASUS p8p67 LE with corsair vengence memory on it? I'm kinda regretting getting this board instead of the pro because the memory modules are stupid close to the CPU socket and the VRMs run too hot.

  • 92mm, not 80mm, sorry if someone has already pointed it out.

  • Hey bro i was wonder if this will work on my Gateway GT5670 Desktop PC Phenom X3 8400(2.1GHz) I really want to get it looks sexy :D

  • @purple89 Then get a cooler master v6 this thing I think is the same size.as the coolermaster v6. if your desktop is allready out of warranty you may want to think about a new case.

  • £13.50 on hotukdeals ATM!!!! zomg getting

  • best cooler ever. running AMD 7years old keeps it cool and makes it last longer

  • The screws on my current CPU fitting are in more of a rectangular shape rather than a circular shape like the fitting on this cooler.. I have an AM2 socket, anyone know why?

  • why are people saying its huge. its TINY! most other coolers are bigger, Noctua NH-D14 or something is MASSIVE

  • omg this thing is HUGE!

  • can i install this cpu while my motherboard is in the case and screwed in?

  • Ok so the slight degrade on the top of the pipes is normal. Thought it was just me.

  • Small nitpick/correction: It's actually 92mm, not 80mm and sorry if someone else has mentioned that!

  • If some of you viewing this are thinking about buying this HSF, I wouldn't do it. Buy the Corsair A70. I used to have this one and it doesn't even compare to the A70. Tons of overclocking headroom if your CPU and motherboard are capable

  • This CPU Cooler is not good at all! If u r looking for good CPU COOLER go with Zalman CNPS10X Extreme witch is awsome i have my Core i7 940 @ 3.80GHz and CNPS10X hold it really cool!

Bios reading temps are max 65 and min of 30C!

  • why the fan is oval??? I can't replace with another. FUCK AC

  • @MercuryRevolution lol the fan isn't oval - the attaching system is... besides, how do you spin an oval fan? and you don't really want to switch it with another, since it's very quiet and efficient. AC Freezer series is the best low budget air cooling solution that I've ever dealt with.

  • Thumbs up that if you got all this stuff for free i would have EPIC gaming computer!!!:D

  • is is just me because i watch linus's videos more than once just because of his personality and his depth

  • I bought this and its brilliant! Keeps my CPU at 45c when watching porn! UNBELIEVABLY GOOD!

  • i just realized i had seen this video before, without knowing it was linustechtips

  • will 1155 work with this?

  • @indu95 1156 and 1155 has the same mounts.

  • the new mounting system for intel looks much better. i just reinstalled the old version on a new motherboard and i thought i was going to break the board in half!

  • Lol, I installed this backwards upside down sideways... And it's still cooling better then my stock cooler

  • "out" like "spout", not "out" like "boat"...

  • Just Bought the arctic freezer 7 pro rev 2 Because of this video

  • @sh00taboy is it a good cooler??

  • @sh00taboy

How is it?...would you suggest buying it?

  • @DXSXD I got it, keeps my processor cool, when i have it on for like 5 hours it's still around 38 degrees stable. One downside but that's just my system is that i get a cpu fan error allthough it's going on the right speed;]

  • @QFmedias I had this too, just go into your bios settings and disable an option called "q-fan function" - youll then stop getting the error :)

  • @sh00taboy this cooler sucks

  • @MrComputereviews lol no it doesnt it keeps my cpu 3x cooler while playing Crysis 2

I guess you wouldnt understand about this on your grandmas computer

  • @sh00taboy thats a pice of shit compared to the NH-D14 i am running right now

  • I bought this from Newegg and the damn thing is so big that it completely hangs over 1 of my 4 memory slots and possibly may interfere with the 2nd one. I'm not too sure as I am running 4x2 for 8GB and not really looking to go higher (though my mobo supports up to 16GB). Still, I had no idea it was going to be so huge. I wish I would have bought the CoolerMaster V8...

  • Darth Vader mask xD :D

  • very small contact? is normal, do not expect much for the price

  • These actually aren't that great. A hyper 212 is a MUCH better option if you can fit it in your case and if not, get a Xigamatek HDT-SD964 for smaller cases. Both will out perform this little cooler and support push/pull configs right out of the box.

  • Just ordered one, the i5 760 stock cooler is worse than the one i had for my

    pentium 3.

Its cheap and it's better than a boxed cooler.

  • this cooler is too small...Hyper 212 plus is way beter...

  • the cooler is better than the boxed!!! for low price not bad, but for overclock can u better buy a mugen2

  • Does this work for 4 core processors, such as the AMD AMD Phenom2 X4 955 3,2 GHz?

  • @Ranc00r

Yes it does. I just set mine up with that exact processor (Black Edition) :)

  • @Ranc00r

Hell yeah and it does a hell of a job too. Also great value for money. I'm using it with that CPU you mentioned.

  • @Ranc00r

It comes with a separate bracket for AMDs.

  • @Ranc00r if u aint overclock...

  • @Ranc00r yeah he said AM3.

  • @Ranc00r yes the newer one is compatible with all amd sockets

  • @Ranc00r yes, you get some special mount accessories to mount it.

  • @Ranc00r yes it does , i bought it myself , and its the best of tthe price

  • @Ranc00r it would be better to find a old pro 64, it can be mounted in the right position, or buy a cooler master TX1 or 212+

  • @Ranc00r 6 Months Late... This product has a 130Watt cooling performance meaning it will cool any processor with a heat-rating of 130Watts or below. So yes, it can work with Quad-Core Processors as long as they have a heat-rating of 130Watts or below :)

  • @Ranc00r yeah

  • @Ranc00r

    Yes.

  • @Ranc00r yes but if you over clock you proseser will catch on fire with this

  • @MrComputereviews I wish i new as much about computers as you do, you are so cool trash talking peoples hardware on youtube.

  • @MrComputereviews Are you fucking retarded? If you over clock a CPu and its under cooled, it will melt. NOT CATCH ON FIRE. You don't not shit about computers, go play your Xbox.

  • @EveryThangElectronic i have personally caught my old 875k using this cooler on fire it is possible now i have a 2600k running at 5ghz with the NH-D14 cooler

  • @MrComputereviews I've had this fan for about 10 months. Everything has been well cooled..You just got a faulty fan.

  • @EveryThangElectronic what are your clock speeds

  • @MrComputereviews My clocks are 4.6 GHz on my i5 2500k

  • @EveryThangElectronic i was running it at 4.5 ghz with my old 875k and IT CAUGHT ON FIRE but now i have a 2600k at 5ghz with noctua nh-d14

  • @EveryThangElectronic Does this fan fit the 1155 socket?

  • @SluzBag1993 Yes.

  • @EveryThangElectronic Thank you :)

  • @Ranc00r Yup

  • @Ranc00r Yeah, all Intel i7 LGA 1366, Intel i3/i5/i7 LGA 1156/5, Intel LGA 775, AMD AM3, AMD AM2+, AMD AM2, AMD 939, AMD 754

  • @Ranc00r lol ofc

  • @Ranc00r Not sure if troll.

  • @Deluxeta Not sure if retarded

  • @Ranc00r LOL, speak for yourself.

  • @Deluxeta Clearly, I´m not. Retard.

  • @Ranc00r You are, you don't know anything about sockets, so you went asking for the processor itself. You even put it's clock speed, like it's gonna change the socket or something. LOL

  • @Deluxeta Ever heard of copy and paste, jackass? I wanted to know if this exact processor was compatible with the cooler, why the fuck would I leave out info? Retard scum.

  • @Ranc00r If you were literate, you would've listened to what Linus said about sockets, and instead of asking like a poor mentally ill person, you would've checked the specifications of that processor. You're here, bragging about shit cause you think a single MHz would make a difference in "the shape" or whatever ? You must be new and you must be using Internet Explorer. So now, all you have to do is : leave YouTube forever, learn to Google and learn to check NCIX/Newegg or whatever store.

  • @Ranc00r The 25 people you're talking about either thought you were trying to be funny or were as stupid as you. And again, if you had just a bit of intelligence, you would've used Google instead of being an asshat and waiting for someone to answer you on YouTube. By the way, you started the fight by calling me a retard, Sir Fuckstick.

  • @Deluxeta fuckstick haha iam still lauging it means on german fickstock :D

  • is it loud?

  • will it work properly on a amd am3 socket with a

AMD Phenom II X4 945 processor

  • i like how all these companies make there names like "Freezer or super," and they cant cool for crap. so basically if it says fancy words referring to "REALLY COLD COOLING" chances are it sucks. look at some of the best coolers. Noctua nh-d14, or cooler master v8. etc.

  • ur voice is annoying i hate u

  • @Georgi74 Your spelling is annoying n00b.

  • @TheJesusIrl eat,shit and die

  • @Georgi74 Just ignore him/her. You're just as bad to reply to him/her in a manner like that.

  • @Avataryoutuification soviet russia

  • @TheJesusIrl You're a terrible 'Grammar Nazi', you know.

  • @Avataryoutuification Yes, because that was what I was going for isn't it?

  • will this thing handle i7 860 @ 3.6-3.8 ghz?

  • @olivierhacking i believe so

  • would this be good for overclocking my core2duo e6600 upto around 3.6GHz?

  • @blainyrules What's your clock at now?(2.4?) What temperatures does it run at idle/full load?

  • give us some info

what temp you got before and after, and what cpu do u have

  • BICIKLU NEBI NASLONIO NA TEBE !!!!!

  • have you tried running it? is it silent compared to coller master or thermaltake?

  • you should do a video on installing this to an amd system, ive heard its difficult due to the instructions.

  • Is this any good for overclocking this to 4gz+?

  • @TheWoWRevelation

No, this cooler is for a medium overclock. For 4gz go for the Arctic Cooling CPU Freezer Xtreme Rev.2, is just 10 bucks more

  • Cool cooling cooler. I own this cooler and its very effective at cooling. =D
