Speaking from my own experience

Before you even start treating your acne scars you have to clear your acne first. Try black soap

And for fresh acne scars try Scar Therapy(from walmart)

And for older scars the cheapest and effective method is dermaroller

Do a good research on those products youll see what im talking about. Hope this helps

Lemon juice does work. It may sting, but it's worth it. I use a lemon and crushed Tylenol (yes I know crazy right ?) as per dr. Oz. leave for 10 min and rinse off with warm water and baking soda. It burns but my skin is looking better and better. I use this twice a week. Too many treatments of lemon will leave your face too dry.
