This was just a warm up in the studio. Roy Hubbs can do basic yodels but to really yodel is very hard and takes years to learn. Wilf Carter (Montana Slim) is the the Angus Young of yodelling. He is the best, especially on the song "Swiss Miss."
Allways a great song, however I prefer the lonesome gritty tone of the Jimmie Rodgers original. Still thats just me, you have to admit, though, Roy Hubbs can not yodel. Its good to hear old songs with a new twist; I just wish people could still yodel. No one in contemporary country ever yodels.
That was awesome! This is one of my favorite songs my uncle would sing at music night at his house every Tuesday when I was a kid. I would always ask him to play it and he always knew I would! Thank you for such a wonderful memory.

The song has been done quite nicely (if rather shortly, it ends at the shooting) by the one-CD-wonders Snakefarm.
