Very creative. I do hunt to fill my freezer maybe one time when i get a buck ill try this. I also find antler sheds like u and norm hang on to them so maybe try it with one of those. I do love the vid and wornderful work. These are great survival tools and your are amazing art work too.
i absolutely love ur vid. im a lady in nova scotia. i have a firesteel but would love to have one mounted in a pc deer antler. how much would u charge to make me one send to me. ty vm really love ur project. nice job........karen
@RocketTWORussia Very naive statement. I find antler sheds and people give me lots. I only take deer to fill my freezer. Try to think before you judge.
I assume you drill a hold and put a rod in the mounting device. Do you glue them in or? I am a new subscriber and love your videos. You have introduced me to my new hobby.. Bushcrafting :).
Really beautiful work you got there man! Wow, I liked very much the one which is cased into the antler, and has a leather string for attaching! Would you sell any of those? I´m in Brazil but got folks in NY, Ohio, etc! Congratulations anyway! Youre very talented and skillful!
what size drill bit did you use to carve out the hole for the firesteel? and then did you like fill it with apoxy? please reply, and on the one at 0:22 does it stay lined up like that, how did you get it to stay on like that (the cap i mean)
I forget the size of the bit. It was same size as the firesteel. Just match up the bit to the steel. I had only my eyes to line up the deep hole like that. I guess you just have to get lucky when you want one with a case. Other than that yes I used epoxy. Devcon 2 ton, so it will never pop out!
Not yet I do not. However should I keep going with these I will be posting them on a couple different forums for sale. Anyone who might be interested can PM me about those sites. Thanks alot!

That is such a good idear.
1 - How do you get the original handles off? and
2 - what do you use to bond the Firesteel to the new handle?
zerowildfire 3 years ago
!. You can buy then that way, one did have the red handle but with a sharp knife and a little time is comes off.
2. I use Devcon 2 ton epoxy. You can find it in about every hardware store or retail chain store.
