  • I never had issues with facing one or catching one, but I remember my game screwed up bad when I tried putting one into storage.

  • Your srpite got crambled on the 2 myth

  • Clearly, M is more glitchy

  • You named your hitmonchan Little Mac! XD

  • how do you get so many master balls?

  • @dragom2009 I think I just GameSharked them here for time's sake.

  • @glitchedgamer ahaa.. oki

  • ส็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็็ ftw!!!

  • missingno and m are the same thing

  • spongebob+patrick:m m m mmmm ..... m mm mm m ....... MM M M MM MM.....MAAANRAAAAAY!

    me:T_T dude its just missingno

spongebob+patrick:HU HO THIS SI MUCH CHUM WORSE!

  • I used to have pkmn red.

i need to buy a new gba sp charger and i need to buy blue version ( it cheaper)

  • what about the ghost that is missingno and is lv.175

  • Wish I still had Blue

  • If i'm getting only tentacools with the surf, does the trick work on my game?

  • @wakababoon if it is a second save game then u cant catch missingno or m

  • what happens if u release one or both of the glitch pokemon???

  • @supersonic364 Nothing at all.

  • If you use Ghost MissingNo. (not sure but Kabutops and Aerodactyl Fossils may work too) you can change its elemental type again and again by switching the order of Pokemon so it is the same as the last one on the list! It can get a little messed up sometimes but you can do this to let it learn any tech it wants!

  • most are false icuaght hi and my game is perfectly normal

  • @cooldude33881 It seems Blue may be the one that gets damaged while Red does not, I have a red and it doesnt get deleted or corrupted data.

  • probably cause u got a lv 80 one when its only safe to catch lv 100 or over. YES, I SAID OVER!!

  • i thought 'm saves your game upon encounter

  • IT'S NOT FALSE, I CAUGHT MISSINO ON BLUE AND IT WRECKED MY GAME.

  • I caught it on red and the cartridge never worked again.

  • @MrJablong It messed up a RED?! DUM DUM DUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

  • ONE TRUE MYTH.BY CATCHING IT AND IF U HAVEN'T PLAYED FOR A FEW MONTHS DON'T W8 TO SEE UR GAME STILL EXISTS.AND TRUST ME DO'N'T WAIT TO BE ABLE TO SAVE ANY MORE.I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE THIS SAD EXPERIENCE :(

  • @glitchedgamer If you catch a missingno and use it it evolve into kangaskhaun, so the cubone theory IS true.

  • @bewareweegee 'M evolves into Kangaskhan, not MissingNo. It happens due to how the Pokemon data is stored in the game. I still agree that yes, Kangaskhan was most likely part of the Cubone line at one point, but MissingNo. nor 'M are related to this theory.

  • @glitchedgamer Okay, so if Missingno. and 'M are part of the Cubone/Marowak/Kangaskhan theory, then why, when you first catch them, do they become rhydons? And on their summary+pokedex screen, why is their cry of rhydon?

btw, nintendo were the first ones to warn people not to catch missingno. and how it will glitch your game :)

  • @Nunuchu42 Read up on how the Pokemon data is stored in the game. There is your answer.

  • @Nunuchu42 Actually their cry changes depending on how you hear it (in data, in battle, in stats) and only 'M evolves into Kangaskhan and possibly Rhydon, but MissingNo. doesn't.

  • Back in my day, games were in black and white...

  • i had catch a missigno and after a few levels it envolved into a electrode and it went smothly lvl100 and its like a normal elecrode.also my game isnt ruined and its totally fine.

  • @Dizellist Like how 'M evolves into a normal Kangaskhan.

  • Missingno definitely CAN fuck up your game.

  • @ntbbkid only if it knows the infamous "super glitch" move can it mess up your game

  • I caught Missingno and I had to restart my Pokemon Red game because when I pressed continue it just said in the middle of the screen ''DATA CORRUPTED''.

  • Missingno. Is ether a cubone or marowak. The reason is because the evolution chain was originally cubone marowak kashang the reason that GF and Nintendo removed it was because of inappropriate pokedex info and they didn't want to so they replaced the marowak evolving into kashang info with Missingno. At the last minute. Also I'm guessing they stored the bird type info with him too.

  • @ZarTheKnight That is just a myth. Kangaskhan most likely was related to the Cubone line at one point in development, but MissingNo. has nothing to do with them.

  • @glitchedgamer if missingno. or M' know super glitch they definitly CAN mess up your game, other than that theyre fine :3

  • i always see the note "MISSINGNO. WILL ERASE YOUR FILE SO DON'T CATCH IT!!!!" and on other vids I see "MISSINGNO. WILL NOT RUIN YOUR GAME!" and its really confusing. :\

  • you forgot hall of fame.

  • @joonas2345 What, the fact that it gets scrambled? That's a well known fact.

  • @glitchedgamer It can actually change the Poke Center music to normal or corrupted/strange music when listening to the glitchy Hall of Fame. I have six Halls now and every one has been wrecked so it says I used six MissingNo.s in the Elite Four battles even though there was only one! It took over the Hall of Fame!!!

  • all i remember was using these things as a kid to get unlimited master balls and rare candies

  • @kevboslice112 Anyone who doesn't have those memories didn't have a a childhood.

  • @glitchedgamer ...i dont have a childhood? ;~;

  • Missingno. Is fucking awesome! i beat the elite 4 with one of it!

  • supposedly they exist because they are leaft over data from an incomplete evolutionary chain between marowak/cubone and kangaskhan

  • When you fought the scared rattata, did you see how broken Red was? He looked like if he has been mercilessly sliced in gruesome bloodless pixels... I felt very bad for Red... Have you read Glitchy Red's story? Damn, I cried to his suffering!

  • @GigaCodr14 You forgot one of MISSINGNO.'s forms; Lavender Tower's Ghost! That cute and kawaii ghost when you do not have the Silph Scope yet! It's so kawaii! *ÓwÒ*

  • @r4shka oh yeah... how could i forget him when if i had pkmn red/blue i'd go for him specifically!!!

  • MISSINGNO. and 'M are the same. again, the MISSINGNO. encounter type is dependent on the character name's letters. certain letters in certain spots (i believe one slot was 3) can make backward L, aereodactle, and kabutops

  • Comment removed

  • 4:54 bitch just got sliced

  • what do they evolve into/from? anyways, lol hilarious

  • @flaqui62 'M can evolve into Kangaskhan if it levels up.

  • 1. By-product of the "Mewtwo Project"

    2. The OLD MAN

    3. Kangaskhan Evolution Line

  • Actually my stored Missigno changed to an Piepi.

  • You should also check the Pokéleauge info that gets scrambled, I have no idea if it always occurs. I just know it scared the shit outta me the first time =S

  • Comment removed

  • i used to believe in them but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • why would MissingNO be a glich? i mean it is put in it by the makers for whaterver reason. but it would be very strange if the makers diddn't even KNOW it being in there game.

  • @joetjoepboy it was more pokemon they decided to remove. Because of the way a GB works, they added filler instead of deleting

  • what if you trade missingno to silver or pokemon stadium?

  • @TheTrent08 uhh idk? most likely glitch ur game or it'd be turned into a ditto named missingno. thats what happens when you try to use missingno in pokemon stadium, but if you're so curious why dont you try it for yourself and find out?

  • MissingNo. Pokémon are used as error handlers by game developer Game Freak; they appear when the game attempts to access data for a nonexistent Pokémon species. Due to the programming of three in-game events, players can encounter MissingNo. via a glitch. The species was first documented by Nintendo in the May 1999 issue of Nintendo Power.

  • i remember catching this and my hall of fame was all fucked up lolz

  • cool green lightsaber man! oh wait thats the like bar

  • Actually the missing no. Has to do when the creators of Pokemon were going to put kangashan int the evolution chain of cubone but later they decided to remove the data of the evolution thing and put it in an empty slot so that's why missing no. Evolves into kangashan the pokemone that like a kangaroo kinda

  • @themother3000 I do believe Kangaskhan was originally a part of the Cubone evolution line, but that myth isn't true. I would explain my reasoning, but it would take too long.

  • @glitchedgamer can you try to explaain, please? i'm curious

  • @dvdcastav Explain what?

  • @glitchedgamer lol exactly! You don't know shit fool! xD

  • @glitchedgamer i heard somewhere that it wasn't kangshan because he was just normal and missingNO is bird/normal . or maybe they're wrong ... i dunno lolz

  • @sonicfan19941 hmmmm... you may be on to something! actually, i believe that MISSINGNO./'M was a beta pokemon that was brought to an empty in-game space in which at the last minute, it was deleted but because of the GB's inner workings, the sprite was messed up, the sound changed, and minor glitches occurred, some because it was unfixable, hence being last minute changes. also, i will be confronting Nintendo on the phone soon to do the following (all of 'em)

    a) put 'M in future games

    b) true 'M

  • @GigaCodr14 Yeah...I think if you ask them to do that nintendo will just be like ".....*hangs up*" lol

  • @themother3000 that's one of them. There are a ton more missingno you know

  • how do you catch mewtwo? oh, you have to use a masterball. wats dat? u no the ball you get ONCE IN THE GAME! oHHHHHHHhhhhhhh, i cought my cute little pidgy in dat!!!

  • @DxPokeAdventuresxY I can tell you got that from smosh because i saw it and it was funny

  • For the past few months, I've been waiting on the downloadable game on the 3DS because every ROM I downloaded on my PC will not perform the glitches I want correctly. Do you have ANY information as to when any of the 1st gen. Pokemon games are going to be released? Anything helps.

  • @AttackOfLink I have no idea unfortunately. I don't have a 3DS so I don't keep up with the news. I recorded all my videos with emulators so I'm surprised glitches wont work for you.

  • @glitchedgamer

For instance, I attempted the Mew glitch in Cerulean City. Everything went as planed, up until the battle with the kid and his Slowpoke. It constantly freezes there. I'm not too sure why, either.

  • @AttackOfLink Are you letting him walk up to you or are you going right up to him?

  • @glitchedgamer

Hmm...if I remember correctly, I'm walking into him. I'm actually re-downloading from EmuParadise and seeing what I can do. Again. Nostalgia got the best of me. :P

  • @AttackOfLink Just make sure he walks up to you and it should work fine.

  • @glitchedgamer

I shall be doing so and thanks for the tip! :)

  • @glitchedgamer

Your tip worked like a charm! :D My only dilemma now is finding a suitable name. Hmm...

  • @AttackOfLink Lol glad to help.

  • Only catch it at level 80

  • i once catched a missingno on emulator, the overworld sprites got messed up badly the corners were replaced by grass and some signs with piece of statues

and SOME missignos corrupts your save data, remember that there are 106 kinds of missignos once i tried it it deleted my savedata

  • Who hasn't done this as a kid?

  • @betterthanyou595 Hell I still do it out of nostalgia.

  • you should make a glitch pokemon-glitch move based Mythbusters

  • I have a pokegod. (Level 255 charzaird.)

  • when i caught missingno it remded my hall of fame there was pokemo lvl 9999999999999999 and even i havent seen or gaught

  • Isn't that a Male Nidoran's cry?

  • @Pikafan2132 Yeah part of it is. I think Zapdos' is throw in there too.

  • if you evolve it it evolves to a kangaskhan

  • i caught it an it fucked up my game. seriously.

  • I caught a missingno and it totally fckd up my game. All the pokemon were wrong. When I went to check the pokemon in my hall of fame there were pokemon I didn't even own. really messed it up.

  • idk if someone posted this already but im going to anyways ^^

I Caught a MissingNo. A Long time ago on Original Red but i didnt know my friend had filled the 6th slot on my Pokemon i had with me so MissingNo. Got sent to my PC in the game and when i tried to Withdraw him from there my game froze but i still had my data when i turn On/Off my Gameboy.

  • These myths aren't 100% false though... sometimes you can screw it up by catching too many Missingnos, and later they discovered that fighting a Missingno with Super Glitch caused havoc on sprites and what-not..

  • @KittyMEMEGirl I tested that theory on my GB cart. I caught 5 boxes full of MissingNo and 'M with no adverse effects. Only one glitch Pokemon knows Super Glitch when you meet it in the wild, and it can only be encountered with the Mew Glitch, making it out of the way and harmless.

  • 4:56 I think the Rattata got splattered.. blood and guts everywhere

  • 5:00 in m's name sonics foot...lol

  • Was anyone else singing along with the video the whoole time?

  • The weirdest part about MissingNo. is that it tears your character's pixels apart.... O_O

  • If I was Satoshi, I would've created a pokemon episode where they showed missingno. Pokemon data erased all over the world and some maniac trainer tried to catch him and then his pokemon mutated... idk it would have been one hell of an episode.

And I'd also include MNo. in the pokerap XD

  • It will ruin your game: graphics, saves, one guy had his cartridge start smoking it just went haywire! Because he caught missingno it's like dividing by 0!

  • THE MYTHS ARE TRUE!

  • anyone else want to see a battle between two people who have missingno/'m s?

  • @xXxn00bS1ay3rxXx You do realize they don't have moves right?

  • @DoohickeyJBeaumont umm... yes, they do.

The ones i've caught all had fly, flash, and watergun (in two slots o.O)

    AND

most of them were something like lvl 256 or so (and randomly changed levels, regardless of exp points etc)

  • @DoohickeyJBeaumont let me restate:

it had SKY ATTACK, not fly, and it had flash because that was my sixth item slot (which it glitches :P)

but it always has watergun in two slots, as far as i'm aware of.

  • Very reassuring video! Thanks :D

  • If you feed the Lv. 0 'M a rare candy or somehow give it experiance, it will try to evolve into a Kanghaskan. This brings up the rumor that 'M is a baby Kanghaskan, kinda like how the White Hand and Buried Alive rumors are.

  • i caught a missingno in my blue version and i never had any problem with it. the only curious is that he leveled up with any xp he received and stopped levelling at lvl 185.

  • I remember i caught missingno. then used the catch mew trick, when you fly while the people try to battle you, and you fly to the safari zone and the whole map will be fucked up ... true story

  • i got a missingno on pokemon Platinum, i cant swap pokemon and i cant send him to the computer -.-"

  • doesn't MissingNo stand for Missing Number?

  • @DaTimba Yes. It's basically an error message.

  • 1:55 Ditto was caught instead of 'M?????

  • @Super2x1 If you catch 'M, the battle will go on. Catch the "invisible" Pokemon, and it'll be Ditto.

  • @glitchedgamer so it means we caught two pokemons?

  • @Super2x1 Pretty much. You can run from the "DItto" and still keep 'M though.

  • Actually...

Missingno is in almost every pokemon game, if you go to any patch of grass BEFORE getting your starter pokemon, or any other, you will fight already with missingno, actually I tested it in recent games (with cheating devices, like diamond/ pearl) and you start everytime with him, unless they actually made the trainer fight...

I think missingno will be almost in every pokemon game.

  • @glitchmakr Technically those are not MissingNo.

  • So good video to start.

When I've done the missingno glitch and I'm surfing up and down I sometimes run into a level 174 Charmeleon. Do you know how that works too by any chance? And I heard from someone else they did the same thing but ran into a level 100+ Psyduck. Any other neat tricks like that?

  • @Fldzpln11 It has to do with the letters in your name. Google it to find out more, it's too long to explain here.

  • it's not the same on the computer dummy! if you play on the gameboy or the gameboy pocket. after a while not always right away your game will delete !

  • @gonerrrr 1) The game will not act any differently on an emulator.

    2) I've done this on an actual cartridge many times before.

  • @glitchedgamer It completley corrupted my game on my cartridge. Yellow version on GameBoy, no hacks. After a while it became unplayable, had to delete my save game

  • @gonerrrr Never happened to me, i still played it until the battery ran dead. same file same MissingNo.

  • My Brother once caught a MissingNo in his Pokemon Red Version, and his game now is no more than trash.....

  • *%*'M*$7 LOL

  • Ironically, there is no difference between catching MissinNo. or not. But though all, never do the glitch in Pokémon Red. It won't corrupt your save file, but in some versions, the game isn't fun playing any more!

  • @wieimmerMundtot did you see cubone

  • if you look at m closley you can see a cubone

  • he murdered that rattata at 4:55 ! he butchered him!!

  • I caught Missingno, fed it a rare candy and boom out came level 129 Kangaskhan

  • Ok people I caught Missingno and not to jinx myself but all it did was glitch my HoF!!!

  • I have a question. I don't mean to troll; I'm honestly asking for the sake of knowing. What is the difference between Red/Blue and more modern Pokemon games. I get that a lot of generation IV/V's Pokemon look like a child threw them together in five minutes, but otherwise they seem conceptually the same. Due to age, I started off in Hoenn, but I went back and played Yellow, so I don't really remember the older games. Sincerely, what separates new games from older games, other than nostalgia?

  • @Peytonp8 Red and Blue kept things simple yet concise. There was no woefully unintelligent team trying to summon a legendary Pokemon for some reason. We had Team Rocket, an honestly threatening criminal organization. Legendary Pokemon were rare and sought after; 20 new ones weren't added in each game. 251 Pokemon kept the game nice and balanced; today Pokemon keep getting stronger and stronger, ruining that balance.

  • @Peytonp8 Competitive battling has reduced battles to a game of math and numbers. There are no more mysteries. Officially we had Mewtwo, Mew, and Celebi to discover. The glitched in Red/Blue added even more mystery. I will admit nostalgia plays a big role, but the 1st and 2nd Generations of Pokemon are honestly all around more enjoyable experiences than the newer games.

  • @glitchedgamer hey glitched i watched a unique blame truth video the other day and ive been looking through for info on all of these MissingNo. and other glitched shit on a lot of sites because apparently this guy's cousin caugfht several MissingNo when he borrowed the game from him and one of them changed into a ditto with an unusual opauqe white sprite. then it went from eevee to arbok then back to ditto while never being touched in the pc box. trying to find explanation.

  • @myan1010 The game are mistaking evelutions

    Like 'M evolves into Kangashan

But MISSINGNO. nor 'M aren't the guy to cause that kind

  • @myan1010 I would say the Missingno. is a pokemon who's pokemon "ID" keeps changing. That, or it is a Ditto Missingno., which I would imagine would take the same information of the pokemon that is loaded into the game.

    I'm still not sure though.

  • god these games bring back memories. i remember when i was 5 years old my dad bought me pokemon blue, i was the happiest boy in the world. of course i didnt understand what the game was telling me to do since i couldnt speak/read english at the time. but i had fun and thats what mattered. i wish i could go back in time when games werent so sophisticated. pokemon red/blue/yellow could kick call of duty's ass anytime.

  • this pokemon is dangerous in i wanna be the boshy

  • 2:44 missingo becomes a human?

  • i still love cubones after all those missing0 stuff

  • I miss old pidgey :(

  • cxvb

  • 1) back when the gameboy color was released, missingno. was sought by SEVERAL of my friends after one found him and it caused an automatic shutdown every time he started a battle with missingno. as his default pokemon. 2) a few months after this, i was wandering around in viridian forest when a wild charizard appeared. it was the biggest glitch ever because it was not a missingno. or miss-named. it was just under the actual evolution lvl...explanation?

  • @quackers31 That was probably either "Charizard 'M", "u", or ". ゥ ( .I' ." All of those are Charizard-shaped glitches.

  • How come every blue vid i see is 2007 or 2008

  • maybe that lv.0 'm is the reason my old pokemon red game won't let me save? I don't remember. >_<

  • missingno makes the same noise for rhydon

  • why didn't you withdraw out H POKE? XD

  • for anyone interested in a 4th gen missingno it does exist. you need to use a pokemodifyer code (one that gives you 493 of a set item) and toss it all away then simply get into an encounter and it should give you a cryless (i think. i haven't done it in a while) spriteless, always shiny, well the best way to describe it is a something. and strangely enough the developers put in a pokedex entry for it. it's something like "this pokemon is still being studied" and that's about all i can recollect
