I GOT A PROBLEM!: My Brother accidentally remove some kind f file then it won't start now then i decided to uninstall it and re install it again but it' wont uninstall that's why i deleted the whole folder then when i tried to install it again it but what appears to be it wants to uninstall the game so click the uninstall button then i mount it again then it' says uninstall but it's already gone in my computer pls help me!!!! it won't let me install again!

@TheCrowVII Well, you can't play multiplayer anyway, because the servers aren't there anymore. Other people have made servers, but it requires a patch. Other than that, another patch will get you into the MP, or just search for a keygen or serial.

Burning = You wanted a permanent install CD for you to use around. Either works fine, in any order.

I dont know what i did but i got past the litchtech error. The thing i did was uninstall the game and when you reinstall it make sure you dont press the directx 8 button. And then go into the avp2 files and run avp2 as administrator. I hope that helps

I have the same problem with lithtech.exe : During the installation, when it's looking for this file, it just can't find it and in the same time, Mc Afee tells me that there is a worm in the file LITHxxxx.exe (W32/bactera.worm.a!) . Every time I launched the setup, the "xxxx" numbers change.

So I need your help, could you send me the file lithtech.exe too ? Hopefully this is gonna work...

For some reason my copy of AVP2 now loads the single player missions but you are right, it wasn't an actual Trojan but instead a rogue "Windows 2010 Xp antivirus" programme, I used malwarebytes to remove it.. but apparently its coming from the lithtech file.. Would it be possibly for you to email your version of "Lithtech Client MFC Application" as everytime I run the game I get the same Rogue software on my system. Thank you

Hi, I followed your instructions, and ran the no-cd.exe file, but when i try to load a single player mission (all species) - the screen freezes momentarily and I recieve a security threat about a trojan, I remove it, and then the AVP game returns to the main menu.. Do you have any suggestions? I'm running it on XP if that matters?

Umm, I've had no such problems. And this "Trojan" is quite worrying too, what Anti Virus do you have? Could something be creating ghost viruses? I've scanned with AVG 9.0, Norton, and McAfee and nothing. Don't know. Try re-booting. Maybe run in Compatibility mode.

@yoda2287 Yes it says that because the autorun is broken, you have to find the setup.exe in the file explorer in Daemon Tools Mount and Drive Mananger.

Well, as stated at the start, the original servers were taken down. You can play online with new Masterservers and something called 'Saviour Mod'.

But I couldn't get any of these working, I don't know whether you can. The steam purchase of this game will have a patch released so we can play online again, but no release date for the patch yet. Just keep waiting. New AvP game : 16th Feb - UK

You have probably clicked yes on the DirectX 8.0 installation (1:41). If this is the case un-install the game and go and delete all the data from the program files because there might be some it can't get rid of. Then re-install and DONT click on the Direct X install. If this still doesn't work, make sure you mounted it right and that when you downloaded it that none of the files are corrupted. Re-download if problem carries on.
