The Calvinism God condemns almost everyone-- unconditional reprobation; while saving a remnant--unconditionally. This toddler spends eternity in flames while this toddler is given immortality with Almighty God, based on nothing they have done. How's that for love and justice! This widespread heretical doctrine was taught by John Calvin, who also taught:"Whoever shall now contend that it is unjust to put heretics and blasphemers to death will knowingly and willingly incur their very guilt.”
@jblglw " This toddler spends eternity in flames while this toddler is given immortality with Almighty God" I understand that this is a hard truth to swallow, but please do not make outrageous assumptions about who goes to hell and does not. You must remember that God is gracious and merciful at the same time. Please don't jump to wacky conclusions.
@vekl God can't be gracious and merciful to a toddler he condemns to hell forever. It's not possible. If he were loving, the toddler would not spend one second in hell let alone millions of years. If he were just, the toddler would not spend one second in hell let alone millions of years. If he were gracious and merciful hell would not have millions of babies, toddlers and children in hell for millions of years. Calvinism teaches a false God.
@vekl I am not making any assumptions about who goes to hell. I am repeating John Calvin's ridiculous teaching on elect toddlers who die, spending eternity in heaven while non-elect toddlers have been predestined from before the foundation of the world and through absolutely no fault of their own to be condemned to everlasting torment. Explain how I am making "outrageous assumptions" or any assumptions about who goes to hell by pointing out John Calvin's teachings--which I think are incorrect.
@vekl Your statement that God is gracious and merciful at the same time he is condemning toddlers to hell for eternity is a contradiction. You believe a contradiction about God which is necessarily false. Hitler killed people and was a monster. How can any creature bring back a toddler to life only to throw in hell forever the child and be "gracious and merciful" (your words, your argument.) at the same time? You believe something absolutely contradictory and necessarily false about God.
@jblglw You seem to speak as if you have a doublemind. Did you see anywhere in my video me saying something about God sending toddlers to hell? LOL!! This is absolutely insane how you ppl let our emotions cloud the truth. Amazing! And again, as usual, I see nothing but emotional banter and unsubstantial rhetoric. If you can, I'm really interested in you giving me something from the bible itself that refutes what I'm teaching, rather than your opinion.
Well laid out, but I do not see the verses you've brought up necessitating the interpretation that you're presenting. God doesn't seem to use the word hate the way we do. When Jesus said to hate your family for example he didn't mean to hate them as we understand it. "Having aversion from or disregard for the claims of one person or thing" is one definition from vines. Romans 9 lends itself well as God denies Esau's claim as he was not the promised one. Luke 14:26 again seems to be similar.
@seanpko I agree. In context, the word 'hate' has a different meaning. What Jesus says about 'hating' your family etc. and God hating sinners, are two different things. Of course Jesus does not want us to 'hate' people. But God Himself has the morality and authority to hate people if He wishes to. And He would be just in doing so.
@vekl Agreed, IF God does hate people in the way that those verses may imply, it would totally be just. God is just and we are not. However I still think that all the verses about God's hate are from the context that I gave. Anyway, I enjoy many of your videos. However I think you're better off focusing on Cults, False Religions and cultural dilemmas as nonbelievers are in greater need than Christians in possible error over debatable issues.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
@Leadman1989 "..if you made me only to end up in your hellish torture and suffer then why make me at all??!! The problem with this question is that it presumes that God has given you the knowledge to know who His elect are. That knowledge is not for man but only for God......
@Leadman1989 2)As for yourself; this statement challenges your perspective of your alleged autonomy. Who actually has ultimate control of the destination of your soul? You or God? If you think you're going to end up in hell, or if you're not sure, then why not simply ask God to save you. Put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ so that you may be saved. Yo'ull come to see that He is not only sovereign but loving.
1. It doesn't MATTER this isn't some selfish or COWARDLY attempt to rationalize death or any "presumed" afterlife if he created ANYONE for the sole purpose of ETERNAL TORTURE then he is by definition sadistic.
2. I don't believe in free will, but you CAN'T believe in free will not if your god is all knowing... like the bible says.
3. The same reason I don't blame Santa if I don't get what I want for Christmas. Why don't you pray to Zeus?
@Leadman1989 I don't pray to Zeus for the same reason YOU don't pray to Zeus! Because I don't believe or worship Zeus. But again, your argrument (though to some degree is sincere) is still nothing more than subjective in nature. You can say what you want about God. You can share your dislikes if you wish, but that doesn't change who He is or His nature...
Sorry for the late response, youtube's comment system is HORRENDOUS.
No you don't worship Zeus for the same reason I don't worship YOUR (or anyother) god not a single shred of credible EVIDENCE "but that doesn't change who He is or His nature" So you would worship an evil god?
"The REAL question you should be asking is; 'why should God save ANYONE at all?"
How is that the real question? What logical path did you take to come to that conclusion? Do you not understand my question?
@Leadman1989 I understand your question very much. The problem is that you simply don't like the answer I'm giving you. The problem seems to be tha you simply don't want a God that's sovereign, and you don't want to be held accountable for your sins. You're not worried about 'evidence' of God. You're worried about accountability!
Then please tell me how the real question is why he should save people, when he could just save himself the trouble and NOT create anyone (at all) or that he would have to save. Trust me I do not believe in sin anymore than you believe in Zeus it's a non-issue. You say you have evidence where is it? In the bible, in your heart, in your head? That won't cut it.
@Leadman1989 2) You're not really giving me anythingsubstantial regarding your position. All I'm hearing from you is how much you don't like it! But one thing you seem to forget or misunderstand; God only punishes someone IF or WHEN they sin against Him. So the question should not be; 'why create someone just to send them to hell?'. The REAL question you should be asking is; 'why should God save ANYONE at all?' Can you answer that question? Why should God save YOU!?!?!
@PlutoniumPlayPin No, not at all. God hates only those that live in sin. They CHOOSE to sin, and it's God sovereignty and prerogative to have already either predestined them to eternity with Him in glory, or eternal punishment. Do not try to fully comprehend God. You can't do it. Deut. 29:29. Just know and believe that He is who He said He is. Ask Him some questions, and I promise you He'll respond. Believe me.
The truth is, if God is a loving God He must hate. I love children therefore I hate abortion. I love african-americans therefore I hate racism and slavery. I love truth therefore I hate lying. You see, God must hate if He is truly loving. The bible says God is perfect (Deut. 32), righteous (Psalm 7:9), holy (Isaiah 5:16) Since He is a God of truth He must hate liars (9th commandment). God and evil cannot coexist.
@vekl Notice how the truth deviates from commonly held beliefs about GOD- that he loves everyone regardless, that he love the evil faggots, that he loves all people like Esau, that he loves the sinner and not the sin, that he will not utterly destroy the heathen with an Iron hand and that he will not reward others with slavery and oppression who have practiced it. If you agree with this you are essentially agreeing with the BHIs and nothing is wrong with that. The truth is the truth.
@vekl You are a nut because you are all over the place in doctrinal beliefs contradicting yourself half the time, whilst some members of the BHIs on certain issues are more accurate and on point than you. You appeared to have issue with GOD hating Esau, now you really and truly can't hold that position anymore in light of this new understanding in this video, " GOD hates people ."
@vekl I am just saying from that your posting one can easily conclude the GOD hates Esau which is Edom as is stated in the scripture. I am suggesting that you can't but have this view, which harmonizes our positions, especially from your video postings. Indeed we are not disagreeing anymore which is a departure from your earlier misgivings and or contradictions. Now we are all in one accord with BHIs, how wonderful- does make me proud of you. Ha
@vekl Keep doing a great job my BHI friend. Your views are now putting you squarely in their camp, some people might say that you are being hateful and racial whilst I might say that you are speaking truth. Keep fighting for truth my BHI friend. Ha ha ha ha.
@vekl "The GOD of Israel", you are being racial my friend, racial racial racial. He is the GOD of everybody. How could you say such a thing that he is the GOD of Israel? You see my point, ha ha
@zodice1 Don't be crazy, guy! The term; 'God of Israel' does not have a racial connotation. It's simply a nominal identification. That He is the one true God. God is God also of the gentiles. Romans 3:29
@vekl You have absolutely no shame and you appear crazy beyond belief, you are always resorting to racial comparisons why don't you leave your local race history out of this. Actually I was agreeing with you earlier and I was just teasing that THE GOD OF ISRAEL can be taken by some to be racial. You are 100% correct however, he is the GOD of Israel both the Jews in the land and the scattered Israelites known as the gentiles.
@zodice1 You are once AGAIN, unable to grammatically and contextually discern when gentiles are gentiles. But if that's what you wann continue to believe then have at it.
@vekl You are back on that again, I thought it was settled, stop trying to be politically correct my friend. In addressing your concern about the gentiles there is only one way to know and that is in the references and precepts from the prophecies and the context, bearing in mind the whole book is only about the Israelites in general and that gentiles Greek or Hebrew is simply a generic term. Mostly the gentiles refer to the Israelites. You are posting videos, you need to know the word.
I don't know if this is an example of willful ignorance in the face of wanting to support one's own views/doctrines (at the cost of truth), or simply an honest misunderstanding of Hebrew/Greek words that are translated "hate", and similar in the KJV, but for the sake of TRUTH, let's go...
The Hebrew word sane' - meaning "to not prefer" is the word of note in Psalms 5:5, 11:5, Hosea 9:14 and Malachi 1:3. Definitely NOT meaning "hate" in the way we commonly mean today.
The Hebrew word ta'ab - meaning "to cause to be an abomination, to make abominable in the ethical/ritual sense" that is in Psalms 5:6
The Hebrew word quwts - meaning "to be grieved, feel a sickening dread, to cause a sickening dread" is the word in Leviticus 20:23
The Greek word miseo - meaning "to not prefer", basically synonymous with the Hebrew sane', is the word used in Romans 9:13 (which is a quote from Malachi).
@gwposey1 - I certainly hope it's merely a case of being ignorant of the nuances of the original languages of the Bible that caused (and continually causes) these false accusations against God's true character (which general context, comprehensive study of God's Word, and being led by His Holy Spirit makes abundantly clear), but whatever the case, the TRUTH still stands - God IS love, and He emphatically does NOT hate people (again, not in the way that we use the word "hate" today).
1)It’s not about ignorance my friend. It’s simply about an honest and legitimate attempt to NOT anthropomorphize God and His nature such as what you’re doing. The Hebrew word ‘sane’- (8130- a primitive root; to hate [personally]:--enemy, foe, [be] hate[-ful, -r], odious, X utterly) does not manifest any other connotation other than what is written in both the English and Hebrew.....
2)Disagree if you wish, but you’d have a problem trying to convince the translators that have interpreted the word to mean just that, of your position. ‘Saw-nay’ in the Hebrew means exactly what it says in the English. The context in Hebrew even verifies this.....
@vekl - Sigh. Let's just deal with sane (Hebrew) and miseo (Greek) to easily and quickly refute this with Biblical context...
Genesis 29:30-31 "And he went in also unto Rachel, and he LOVED ALSO RACHEL MORE THAN LEAH... And when the LORD saw that Leah [was] HATED..." (this is sane'), so does this mean "hated" in our modern-day usage, or "not preferred"? It takes some REAL mental gymnastics to twist this to fit false doctrine.
Oh let me guess - another pointless "anthropomorphic" accusation
@gwposey1 - what this has to do with anthropomorhpizing I'll never know, but it seems to be your "go to" response, however irrelevant to the discussion...
Now for the Greek miseo...
Luke 14:26 "If any [man] come to me and HATE not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple"
So according to almighty vekl, Jesus requires hatred (again in our modern-day usage) to be a discipleship.
@gwposey1 - Perhaps a visit over to biblicalhebrew(dot)com, or just ask some actual Jewish people who are well-schooled in the interpretation of the OT (their book). Sure devout Jews won't agree that all the Messianic references apply to Jesus, but they won't deny them being Messianic.
They also tend to do a much better job of interpreting IMMEDIATE context/intent than Calvinists in 2011, depending on agenda-based interpretation of Elizabethan English translations of Hebrew.
@gwposey1 - It's kinda like how everyone re-interprets "charity" in 1 Corinthians 13 to "love". "Charity" isn't WRONG, it just means/meant something different in 1611 than it does today (and WAS the appropriate word for the translation at that time).
Similarly "conversation" in the KJV doesn't just mean "talking" as it does today.
I often wonder how widespread "speaking in tongues" would be, if "tongue" still primarily mean't "language" as it did when the KJV was printed.
@gwposey1 - And don't worry, I know by now to not expect any direct response to the clear context of the passages in Genesis 29, or Luke 14 (mainly because they annihilate the false interpretation of the words at issue here).
I merely provided them for the benefit of those truth seekers on YouTube that might be duped by a "seemingly" Biblically accurate presentation of God's "supposed" hate of people.
@gwposey1 Hey, whatever. Say what you will, guy! Again, anthropomorphizing the nature of God in order to make Him appeal more to your liking just doesn't honestly give an account to what's ACTUALLY written in scripture. If you cannot even give an HONEST and PROPER exegetical approach to the PLAIN text in both english AND Hebrew, then from here on, you might as well, continue to assert that you're wasting your time. I'm glad that ppl that can indeed READ and think for themselves.
@gwposey1 Absolutely amazing! This is coming from the same guy that made it ABUNDANTLY clear that we have to take the text EXACTLY for what it says, and yet at the same time you DELIBERATELY disregard the fact that the word 'hate' (sane) is saying what it actually says. Wow! This is hypocrisy (or academic indecisiveness) at it's best. I'm done, guy. You're too funny!.....
@vekl - Leave it to you to either deliberately lie about what I've said/done in the past (the less likely of the two possibilities) or completely miss the validity and logical consistency of my position due to failure to comprehend (the more likely).
I'd really like to give you the benefit of the doubt and conclude that you just can't grasp anything outside of your own viewpoint, but when you consistently misrepresent what I (and others) say, and refuse to directly address points, I wonder...
3)Also, regarding the word ‘ta’ab’; again I don’t know where you’re getting your info from, but that’s not at all what you’d find in more legitimate and unbiased concordances. Ta’ab; “a primitive root; to LOATHE, i.e. (morally) DETEST:--(make to be) ABHOR(-red), (be, commit more, do) abominable(-y), X utterly.....
4)Regarding the word ‘quwts’6973 as used in Lev. 20:23 “a primitive root (identical with 'quwts' (6972) through the idea of severing oneself from (compare 'quwt' (6962))); to be (causatively, make) DISGUSTED or anxious:--ABHOR, be distressed, be grieved, LOATHE, VEX, be weary.......
4)Regarding the word ‘miseo’3404 as used in Rom. 9:13; “from a primary misos (HATRED); to DETEST (especially to persecute); by extension, to LOVE LESS:--HATE(-ful). The bible in no way, shape, or form says that He hates us (believers). It only (and SIMPLY) states that He hates workers of iniquity. That's it......
5)And yes indeed. God IS love. Which is exactly why He MUST hate evil, wickedness, and iniquity. It truly is sad! The continuous denial of God’s unfathomable nature continues the ongoing attempt to place man and God on the same level. This in my opinion is a violation of the 1st and 2nd commandment but with a veneer of ‘innocence’ (or ignorance) attached to it. Come out from among that man-centered theology, my friend!
Jesus says it is wrong to hate. How can God have a different opinion to himself? Does God not follow his own rules?
Also, how can a being capable of these extreme emotions (love and hate) judge justly? How can he judge someone fairly if he hates them?
This childish and overemotional God in the old testament can only be the creation of man. An all knowing all powerful God would have no need for these petty emotional characteristics.
@InsaneLordEL "Does God not follow his own rules?" god doesn't have to follow His own rules. He is God. the Law giver. If He said that we should not take venegeace, but that venegeance belongs only to Him, is that Him contradicting himself/ no. He sets the standards. Only God is allowed to take venegeance. In the same way, only God has the right and authority to proclaim who's savedd and who's not. not humans.
@vekl Thanks for the quick reply. I just want to ask this: Christians consider murder wrong, because God says so. If God makes an exception to this rule, is he doing wrong? Is God in this case immoral, or is murder not wrong in the eyes of God?
The same applies to hating people (which God says is wrong).
@InsaneLordEL That's a good question, and I thank you sincerely for your cordiality towards me. But to answer your question, murder is wrong. The term 'murder' is a premeditated action the stems from inquity or unrighteuousness. God has never committed murder. He only 'kills'. There's a difference. When a man comits murder he is doing it out of his own will. But if God never tells someone to commit murder, but He has commanded vengeance, but that was according to His will.....
@InsaneLordEL 2) In essence; anything that man does out of his own free will (apart from God) is not of God at all, and could be considered either fruitless or just plain sinful. But if God ordains it, then there is an ultimate purpose, and we have to believe that the purpose serves God to some mysterious degree.....
@InsaneLordEL 3) Isaiah 55:8-9 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."
@vekl I agree that God has never committed 'murder' as the term stands. I wanted to use this example to present the dilemma: God preaches through Jesus to love our enemies and not to hate. By breaking this rule, would God not be doing wrong? If he is not, then this makes hate alright. I assume that God is incapable of sin because he is perfect (Jesus could only be sacrificed because he had no sin). So does this mean hate is not a sin if God hates?
@InsaneLordEL Hate is a sin FOR US, simp;ly because God says so. We must remember that we are not like God so we cannot see everything as God does. Let me give you an idea of what I mean. I once heard an analogy that i thought was perfect regaring the mystery and authority of God.....
1) On a flat sheet of paper you draw two stick figures. Mr. & Mrs Flat. All these two people know is only what they see in their 2D world. But if I were to stick my finger through the paper, what would Mr. & Mrs. Flat see? Just a circle. So, both would know that I exist, but neither of them have any true idea of what I'm REALLY like. Such is the way with God and His sovereignty...
2) Again, since God is sovereign over all things, and since He is the ultimate lawgiver, then He has the authority and power to declare something as righteous or wicked. If God hates someone, that does not mean that He's wrong for doing it. But if WE are told not to hate, then we are wrong for doing it.
@vekl Can God condemn something as wicked yet do the same thing with righteousness? Sorry this is just a complex issue, I want to make sure I understand exactly what you say. You said "hate is a sin FOR US", yet what you are saying in this video is that God hates. So is God's hate different from our hate? I think this video expresses that God hates in our idea of what hate is.
@InsaneLordEL I have no problem answering your questions. In essence we can say that because we are sinful and imperfect beings, we can hate in an ungodly fashion. But because God is good and holy by nature, He has a just cause to hate something or someone. So in essence, you could say that it is a different kind of 'hate'. God is not unfair. He is sovereign, and He can do whatever He desires. (Daniel 4:35)
@vekl So what you are saying is that what God hates is wrong and what God loves is right. God's judgement of people is fair, because his love and hate are perfectly justified.
If so that makes sense and I can see where you are coming from with this "God hates people" thing. I think you need to stress the fact that Gods hate is different to our (usually unnecessary) emotional hate. Thanks for your time on this :)
@InsaneLordEL "I think you need to stress the fact that Gods hate is different to our (usually unnecessary) emotional hate" You know what? You are SOOOO right! I wish I would've thought of that at the time I put the video together. thanks for the conviction and the cordial correction, my friend. i sincerely appreciate it, greatly! God bless you!
@libbyandtai What has men getting pregnant got to do with anything? Anyway, sex is an expression of love and trust, it isn't merely for making kids. What problem do you have with lesbian sex if it doesn't affect you anyway?
@InsaneLordEL LIKE YOU SAID its a way to Express LOVE but ALSO LUST! IT IS NOT LOVE love is PURE i LOVE my kid but i dont sleep with him i love my daughtet to but not sex i sleep with only MY FEMALE WIFE whome i abstained from sex with till marriage.
@libbyandtai In case you hadn't noticed, lust is a sin. Anyway, what difference is there between sex between you and your wife because you love each other and sex between two women who love each other?
Tell me in 25 words or less why homosexual acts are wrong.
@vekl And therein lies the problem i guess. We have to agree to disagree on this matter because my views differ from yours. I don't think there is any point pursuing this any more (we will argue forever lol)
@InsaneLordEL 1) Ok. no prblm. but allow to say this one last thing; if God is NOT the basis of moral absolutes, then you have nothing left except your own SUBJECTIVE and RELATIVE reasoning. And this type of thinking does not provide a substantially OBJECTTIVE explanation as to whether or not something is right or wrong. If this is how one thinks, then they can not say or truly discern WHY ANYTHING is right or wrong......
@vekl Only a few hundred years ago it was considered 'right' to burn someone at the stake for being a witch or heretic. Before that (in Roman times) it was 'right' to crucify people for their crimes. This concept of right and wrong changes over time, if you look back in history there has never been a constant moral code in society.
What is right is defined as what is good for society, good for the world and good for other people. Wrong is just the opposite. Objective morals are unnecessary.
@InsaneLordEL "What is right is defined as what is good for society, good for the world and good for other people." This statement of yours, though it may be honest, is still very subjective and it does not prove whether or not somethng is ontologically right or wrong. But I'll end it here. I know you said that you didn't wanna go back and forth. So, I'll leave it alone.
@InsaneLordEL 2)And they most definitly do not have power to say that teaching AGAINST homosexuality is wrong either. All they can say (as you so humbly stated, and I thank you for that) is that they simply "disagree". But subjectivity does not dictate or negate truth.
@vekl But what you are basing your stance against homosexual on has not been proven. It is faith not fact. I just have a problem with people who are completely against homosexuality make life harder for other people because of who they are. The issue of gay marriage annoys me because it is just prejudice and fear that cause people to make life harder for homosexuals, just because of their preference (which doesn't affect anybody else).
@InsaneLordEL MURDER is NOT DEFINED the same as killing killing is when 1 person kills another murder is when 1 kills another Against GODS LAWS OR THE GOVERNMENT so murders MORE then killing its breaking a law Spasificly GODS killing just an action Not spasificin context tell me this athiest if You tried killing me? should i let you or defend myself who would GOD side with?
God hates individuals .... you reap what you sow. if you sow hatred you will get hatred. righteous for righteous, wicked for wicked. for God to have this principle he must also be able to, in his wrath against wickedness, punish according to his word. we are all guilty.
the new testament came, and Jesus took the punishment for all sins. God's wrath was satisfied, and he gave a gift to be accepted through faith in Jesus the christ. those who reject a gracious offer of love get no mercy.
God does hate and there is no such thing as unconditional love for all as the church has been teaching. Something that was hard for me to digest and hate to say it still kind of is...
"Hate" is an English translation from the original Hebrew text . You have to take this word in its context. God clearly didn't hate Esau otherwise HE wouldn't have given him his own nation . God favored Jacob not because he loved Jacob better but because God is not a respecter of people. The oldest son was favored back in those times simply because he was oldest. God wanted to show that He doesn't care about birth order or anything that gives men prestige in the eyes of the world.
Dont get it bro god new the end from the begining .Therefor he has forknowledge and this is why god can do this god also judges mens hearts therefor he could very well see the wickedness there in even before birth .Jut my take you say there is scripture to prove this .Why do you suppose god had isreal wipe out people and kill all even children because he knew what must be done to preserve his word to save us forknowledge godbless.Every prophecy in the bible is proof of for knowledge.
First of all, it was YOU that decided to make the subjective an arbitrary comment, so the onus is on YOU to disprove His existence, which you will not be able to do. Secondly; this video series is addressed towards believers, not atheists. My job is not to persuade you or convince of God's existence. My job is to TELL you of His existence and His sovereignty and love for His people. Whether you agree or believe or not is not my preogative. That's God's. But I will pray for you, though.
You really cannot expect weak atheists to provide evidence that god doesn't exist, by definition, they need evidence to see that god does exist. Treat them just like you would an agnostic.
As for strong atheist, we can make arguments that can demonstrate that god probably doesn't exist. No the difference, especially if you're going to try and convert atheists, even if you're not doing it in this video.
@Gamer1990100 Excuse MY words here, but this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard a believer of God say about God. Believe me, I mean no offense but, why would you say something like that about God, especially if you believe that He exists? At least atheists have an excuse! but you? Why?
@vekl even the devils believe in God and tremble. and as Isaiah revealed concerning those who know God exists, but do not follow him, he reveals to us when concerning those who do not speak according to the law and the testimony:
@vekl To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness. Isaiah 8:20-22
@TheUser00000000001 No I can't. But the reason I can't is because I'm unable to be at all places at once which is how I would prove or disprove God exists. Besides, you need to prove he exists since you claim he does exist. Without tangible evidence of Gods existance, there is no reason to believe in him. All you have is an old Bible age book about Bible age people who probably didn't live at all. Prove Noah, Adam and Eve, Moses, lived, then I might be able to believe.
Do you believe in fairies, can you prove that they don't exist?
That, in short, is what you just did.
It's a simple logical fallacy, arguing from ignorance. Just because we cannot prove that something doesn't exist doesn't mean that it exists, it just means that we don't have a 100% certainty that it doesn't exist.
For a weak atheist (just think of them as if they were agnostics) you need to give reasons why god likely exists, or else they can rationally disregard god.
Furthermore, no one is going to be able to disprove god. Proof is essentially reserved for mathematics, and we cannot really prove that anything exists in a inductive sense. Instead we support claims with evidence as to why we think god does or doesn't exist. If you want to persuade weak atheists you have to posit this evidence, or else there is nothing to discuss.
Strong atheists like me, have no problem presenting evidence as to why we believe god doesn't exist though.
It's one thing if you argue that you have no reason to believe that god exists, then you can argue from a weak atheistic stance, but if you posit that there exists evidence that leads you to believe that god doesn't exist then you no longer can argue from that stance. You need to make your case, just like the theist needs to make his case. Of course you don't need to prove things, you're correct there, proof virtually never works in an induction sense.
@debra53758 the burden of proof of God's existence is on God himself. God has made the proof of his existence self-evident. athiesm is actually a misnomer. all so-called atheist would more accurately be called anti-theists; that is those who are against everything about God-especially the truth of his existence. atheism is really nothing more than a fools effort at thinking he can kill God by the craftiness of their reprobate intellect.
Your video is just more evidence that there is no God. If there was an all knowing, all seeing God, he certainly wouldn't have created this world for people to live in. If there is a god, he sure does nothing to stop all the murderers, child abusers, rapists, thieves etc. Any god who hates what he created is a monster.
@debra53758 I'm sorry but your statement is only subjective and it doesn't hold any truth at all. All you did was state your opinion. Try disproving God first before you come to such an arbitrary claim.
@debra53758 Well before calling out God on "his faults" maybe you should get to know the story before you talk about it. God created the world perfect..human sinned, in = murder, stealing ,etc. Just because you dont see things being stopped doesnt mean that miracles dont happen. If you watched cnn or Fox News everyday for a year you still wouldnt know 2% of whats going on in the world. (just saying that miracles are there even thogh you dont see them often)
Ouu, this is kinda scary...especially Romans 9:11-13. I see how this verse supports the Calvinist view. I just wonder how does faith come into play with a verse like this or God's sovereignty, and the views of the Calvinist? (by the way, I'm not an Arminian or a Calvinist, lol, just asking a sincere question). Also, how do we know if God loves us or hates us despite doing good or evil?
@IAmANaturalBeauty Thats'a very good question, but i'll give you a hint. God desires a humble and contrite person to serve, love, and obey Him. If you submit yourself to Him, He'll show you great love. And the things of this world will make more sense. You''ll be able to bear the evil in this world with boldness and more confidence, becuz God will fill you with His Spirit. You'll seek to know more about His word and He'll give you a greater sense of peace amidst the evil.
@IAmANaturalBeauty ...That peace that you'll receive from God, and tHis chastening are probably the biggest evidences of His love towards His people. Do you know Christ? You should probably make sure that He knows YOU!!!
This video seems to conveniently ignore John 3:16, and Romans 5:8. Also, Jesus commanded us to "hate" our families in Luke 14:26 (clearly NOT hate in the same way that the video is claiming). Genesis 29:30-31 states that Jacob loved Rachel MORE than he loved Leah, then refers to that equating to Leah being "hated".
Taking it all in context, I guess I have to ask Vekl what he believes the definition of hate to be.
To borrow from Ed Lover (I know, shame on me), C'mon SON!!!
No problem. It was a pleasure but at the same tmne very scary for me. This was probably the first video series I prayed over before posting. All praise to God.
Dear one the lord and God are 2 seperate beings... God is God the creator of all things... God is love, mercy, compassion, forgiveness and he is long suffering because he is suffering with us... The lord is Ha'satan (the devil/ruler of the reptilians conquerer of this world) God hates no one, the lord (satan) hates humans and thinks of them as insects that should be exterminated... Thank you for the video
"God hates no one," I hate to say it this way but you make no sense. If you claim to believe in the word of God, then how can you logically and deliberately deny what the scriputres say? Are you and atheist?
@vekl I believe in what God tells me not the writings and teachings of wicked men and devils. That bible you like to quote so much was written by Lucifer/Satan. It was created to cause thecreators children to fear God. GOD said this to me one day. I asked why am I not to trust the bible? God replied, "it is wicked beyond measure and is full of lies, it causes my children to fear me, for you cannot truly love that which you fear." The lord is satan, God is the Creator and he only goes by GOD...
@vekl Whacky claims??? How you figure? Everything I said is right there in the bible... OBVIOUSLY you have NOT STUDIED your bible... I will be happy to PROVE TO YOU that YOU and ALL CHRISTIANS WORSHIP LUCIFER... THAT YOU ALL SERVE THE DEVIL... WANT ME TO PROVE IT TO YOU? I WILL USE ONLY THE BIBLE... There are hundreds of passages commanding rape, murder, human and animal sacrifices and slavery. Tell me something, how come you dont hear God talking to you? He talks to me every single day...
@1Masterofwar "He talks to me every single day....." You see? It's statements just like this that just doesn't allow me to take people like you seriously. First you make an exttremely far-fetched and delusional assumption that we're worshipping the devil, and then you tell me that you "hear his voice EVERYDAY" C'mon, guy! Seriously. But if you really wanna debate me on this issue, I'd absolutely LOVE to.
@vekl And if you are wondering why I am saying these things its this. Jesus is Lucifer, the number of his name is 666 same as Lucifer, messiah, cross, gospel. The Roman catholic church is the largest satanic organisation on the planet. They sacrifice people there all the time. They serve Lucifer the devil. I know this because I am an Angelic Prince high commander sent by The creator of all things. He is the most high and he hates NO ONE! THE EVIL ONES HATE HIM FOR CREATING YOU! They hate you too
1/2 Check your greek and see why "workers of" isnt a capitol letter "Workers" because it's refering to an act of not a person "of" and "in" are interchangable in the greek when you are talking about an action verb
I know what the greek says, my friend, and the word for 'workers' in the case of Psalm 5:5 is in the Hebrew which is 'pa'al'. He's indeed referring to PEOPLE not acts. Please get away from your traditions and emotions.
If you know the Greek says pa'al youd know that the word translates to "to make, to do" an ACTION and when you see an action verb "of" and "in" are interchangable, you seem like you just want to be "right" like God somehow loves you more if he hates others...... "Christians" like you are who drive the lost away, Jesus hung out the sinners yet he hated them? it's laughable how you state all of this as fact
Again, I know you're in error becuz the word pa'al is not Greek. It's Hebrew. Christians like me are not responsible for bringing salvation to anyone. That's God's doing. Why are you so upset against God's sovereignty? Why do you hate His authority so much?
excuse me in my error in saying greek, pa'al is hebrew, you can see my error because you said "in hebrew" and i said "if you know the greek"........my error in typing, but the definition still stands and what I said I just made the eroor in saying greek when i meant hebrew
and btw you dodged every point I brang up and only pointed out my error in saying greek when I meant hebrew instead.......and I love his authority, youd know that within 5mins of meeting me, but I do hate lies and I pray that this video and all your video that have lies in them stay at a low view count for your sake..........
and nobody said you are the "bringer of salvation" but you are to deciple and show people the way and give them the truth, this is not truth and a lie will turn them away.......and bro Im not upset at anything you have 773 views on this video so it's not like many people will even see these lies, Im just telling you so you know because I love you enough to do so
First of all, you haven't brought up ANY valid points agisnt the teaching at all. You have NOT brought up any VALID arguement against verses like Psalm 5:5 or 11:5. Explain 1 Samuel 15? Why are you trying so hard to dethrone God?
they are Valid, I already told you the english translation to pa'al and you havent refuted it, ive already said god so loved the world (world means all) and you fail to see all the places he shows he LOVES the sinner, "Christ died for us while we where yet SINNERS" Romans 5:8 and when you sin he hates you? but loves you when you dont? so you serve a flip flop God?.........Address each thing I said and dont play Dodge Ball like youve been doing
I already told you I meant to say Hebrew, it was a typo........stop playing dodge ball in HEBREW the word translates to "to make, to do" an ACTION and when you see an action verb "of" and "in" are interchangable...........
I am NOT playing dodge ball with you, bro. What I'm saying to you is that you're trying to mix the context of one word used in one way, in one chapter and associate another meaning from a totally different context to it. You STILL have to provide evidence that the word pa'al' (hebrew) is in reference to something other than people. Can you do that, sir?
I know what the word pa'al is, but you must be able to prove that the translators did not mean for it to be in reference to people. You do indeed see the letters 'ERS' at the end of worker, don't you? So prove to me that it should've been 'works of iniquity' rather than 'workERS of inquity' Prove it!
Are you slow? I already said in HEBREW the word translates to "to make, to do" an ACTION and when you see an action verb "of" and "in" are interchangable...........look it up, google. even the blueletter bible will show you that
Once again, first of all, you need to watch what you say, if you want to consider yourself a man of God. Who are you calling 'slow'? Are you now getting mad because you cannot answer any of the verses that I bring up? Again, how is it that the term 'WORKERS' as it's used in Psalm 5:5 NOT in reference to PEOPLE? Now, when are you going to answer tat question, my friend? You will NOT receive an answer to your questions until we cover this part first.
I need to watch what I say? who are you to tell me what to say? Im asking a serious question you might be slow for all I know because you sure act like it after telling you something 3times, I already told you look it up if you dont believe me "workers" translates into "to make, to do" and action not a person.....GOD HATES the "to do or making of and in" inquity.........look it up sir, "workers" esp when not in a capitol letter means "to do, to make"
Guy, if you want to continue to believ that the bible says what it DOES NOT say, then that's between you and God. I'm a believer in literalism. The bible says what it says and that's that. Unless you wish to have a debate with me via Skype or something else, I'm not gonna waste anymore of my time with you. Go on ahead and keep following you traditions and emotions if you must.
Of course youre not, Go play Dodge Ball with all the weak minded Christians because that's the only kind that will believe your false teaching........Im not gonna debate you on skype lol! what a weirdo you are, you just dont want to get aired out on your own page for people to see how you are wrong, but too late "im not gonna waste my time" basically means YOURE WRONG, you dodged everything I said.......btw congrats on view 797
MAKE & DO are action verbs, any 2nd grader knows that and the reason you wont answer anything else I bring up is because YOU CANT, not that you wont.........like I said you can dissagree with this point on "workers" fine ignore the truth in that, but you wont answer the rest because you are wrong, ask yourself why all your videos how low post counts? Gods hand is on none of your false teachings
...but when it comes to comments such as the ones that you'ver been making, then there is not point in continuing. I challange you to an open debate, you refused becuz ou're scared, so now I'm done with you. Say what you will. You had your chance. I'm blocking you now. Thanks for your time.
The Calvinism God condemns almost everyone-- unconditional reprobation; while saving a remnant--unconditionally. This toddler spends eternity in flames while this toddler is given immortality with Almighty God, based on nothing they have done. How's that for love and justice! This widespread heretical doctrine was taught by John Calvin, who also taught:"Whoever shall now contend that it is unjust to put heretics and blasphemers to death will knowingly and willingly incur their very guilt.”
jblglw 4 days ago
@jblglw " This toddler spends eternity in flames while this toddler is given immortality with Almighty God" I understand that this is a hard truth to swallow, but please do not make outrageous assumptions about who goes to hell and does not. You must remember that God is gracious and merciful at the same time. Please don't jump to wacky conclusions.
vekl 3 days ago
@vekl God can't be gracious and merciful to a toddler he condemns to hell forever. It's not possible. If he were loving, the toddler would not spend one second in hell let alone millions of years. If he were just, the toddler would not spend one second in hell let alone millions of years. If he were gracious and merciful hell would not have millions of babies, toddlers and children in hell for millions of years. Calvinism teaches a false God.
jblglw 2 days ago
@vekl I am not making any assumptions about who goes to hell. I am repeating John Calvin's ridiculous teaching on elect toddlers who die, spending eternity in heaven while non-elect toddlers have been predestined from before the foundation of the world and through absolutely no fault of their own to be condemned to everlasting torment. Explain how I am making "outrageous assumptions" or any assumptions about who goes to hell by pointing out John Calvin's teachings--which I think are incorrect.
jblglw 2 days ago
@vekl Your statement that God is gracious and merciful at the same time he is condemning toddlers to hell for eternity is a contradiction. You believe a contradiction about God which is necessarily false. Hitler killed people and was a monster. How can any creature bring back a toddler to life only to throw in hell forever the child and be "gracious and merciful" (your words, your argument.) at the same time? You believe something absolutely contradictory and necessarily false about God.
jblglw 2 days ago
@jblglw You seem to speak as if you have a doublemind. Did you see anywhere in my video me saying something about God sending toddlers to hell? LOL!! This is absolutely insane how you ppl let our emotions cloud the truth. Amazing! And again, as usual, I see nothing but emotional banter and unsubstantial rhetoric. If you can, I'm really interested in you giving me something from the bible itself that refutes what I'm teaching, rather than your opinion.
vekl 2 days ago
Well laid out, but I do not see the verses you've brought up necessitating the interpretation that you're presenting. God doesn't seem to use the word hate the way we do. When Jesus said to hate your family for example he didn't mean to hate them as we understand it. "Having aversion from or disregard for the claims of one person or thing" is one definition from vines. Romans 9 lends itself well as God denies Esau's claim as he was not the promised one. Luke 14:26 again seems to be similar.
seanpko 3 months ago
@seanpko I agree. In context, the word 'hate' has a different meaning. What Jesus says about 'hating' your family etc. and God hating sinners, are two different things. Of course Jesus does not want us to 'hate' people. But God Himself has the morality and authority to hate people if He wishes to. And He would be just in doing so.
vekl 3 months ago
@vekl Agreed, IF God does hate people in the way that those verses may imply, it would totally be just. God is just and we are not. However I still think that all the verses about God's hate are from the context that I gave. Anyway, I enjoy many of your videos. However I think you're better off focusing on Cults, False Religions and cultural dilemmas as nonbelievers are in greater need than Christians in possible error over debatable issues.

@seanpko I like that he touched up on this -- he should do the unpardonable sin as well.

Psalms 5:5
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest ALL workers of iniquity.
1 John 3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
Hosea 9:15
All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

"Romans 9:14 What shall we say then is there unrighteousness with god?"
YES, but you are impervious to that fact.
"Romans 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against god? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why have you made me this way?"
YES, if you made me only to end up in your hellish torture and suffer then why make me at all??!!
Leadman1989 3 months ago
@Leadman1989 "..if you made me only to end up in your hellish torture and suffer then why make me at all??!! The problem with this question is that it presumes that God has given you the knowledge to know who His elect are. That knowledge is not for man but only for God......
vekl 3 months ago
@Leadman1989 2)As for yourself; this statement challenges your perspective of your alleged autonomy. Who actually has ultimate control of the destination of your soul? You or God? If you think you're going to end up in hell, or if you're not sure, then why not simply ask God to save you. Put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ so that you may be saved. Yo'ull come to see that He is not only sovereign but loving.
vekl 3 months ago
@vekl "caps" used for emphasis.
Leadman1989 3 months ago
@Leadman1989 I don't pray to Zeus for the same reason YOU don't pray to Zeus! Because I don't believe or worship Zeus. But again, your argrument (though to some degree is sincere) is still nothing more than subjective in nature. You can say what you want about God. You can share your dislikes if you wish, but that doesn't change who He is or His nature...
vekl 3 months ago
@vekl
Leadman1989 3 months ago
@Leadman1989 I understand your question very much. The problem is that you simply don't like the answer I'm giving you. The problem seems to be tha you simply don't want a God that's sovereign, and you don't want to be held accountable for your sins. You're not worried about 'evidence' of God. You're worried about accountability!
vekl 3 months ago
@vekl
Leadman1989 3 months ago
@Leadman1989 2) You're not really giving me anythingsubstantial regarding your position. All I'm hearing from you is how much you don't like it! But one thing you seem to forget or misunderstand; God only punishes someone IF or WHEN they sin against Him. So the question should not be; 'why create someone just to send them to hell?'. The REAL question you should be asking is; 'why should God save ANYONE at all?' Can you answer that question? Why should God save YOU!?!?!

So God creates people just to hate them. Makes perfect sense.
PlutoniumPlayPin 5 months ago
@PlutoniumPlayPin No, not at all. God hates only those that live in sin. They CHOOSE to sin, and it's God sovereignty and prerogative to have already either predestined them to eternity with Him in glory, or eternal punishment. Do not try to fully comprehend God. You can't do it. Deut. 29:29. Just know and believe that He is who He said He is. Ask Him some questions, and I promise you He'll respond. Believe me.

god doesnt love everybody
jajuana26 6 months ago
The truth is, if God is a loving God He must hate. I love children therefore I hate abortion. I love african-americans therefore I hate racism and slavery. I love truth therefore I hate lying. You see, God must hate if He is truly loving. The bible says God is perfect (Deut. 32), righteous (Psalm 7:9), holy (Isaiah 5:16) Since He is a God of truth He must hate liars (9th commandment). God and evil cannot coexist.

@zodice1 You are a true nut, guy! :)
vekl 7 months ago
@vekl Notice how the truth deviates from commonly held beliefs about GOD- that he loves everyone regardless, that he love the evil faggots, that he loves all people like Esau, that he loves the sinner and not the sin, that he will not utterly destroy the heathen with an Iron hand and that he will not reward others with slavery and oppression who have practiced it. If you agree with this you are essentially agreeing with the BHIs and nothing is wrong with that. The truth is the truth.
zodice1 6 months ago
@vekl You are a nut because you are all over the place in doctrinal beliefs contradicting yourself half the time, whilst some members of the BHIs on certain issues are more accurate and on point than you. You appeared to have issue with GOD hating Esau, now you really and truly can't hold that position anymore in light of this new understanding in this video, " GOD hates people ."
zodice1 6 months ago
@zodice1 you STILL have not proven ANYTHING regarding a contradiction on my part. show me one contradiction.
vekl 6 months ago
@vekl I am just saying from that your posting one can easily conclude the GOD hates Esau which is Edom as is stated in the scripture. I am suggesting that you can't but have this view, which harmonizes our positions, especially from your video postings. Indeed we are not disagreeing anymore which is a departure from your earlier misgivings and or contradictions. Now we are all in one accord with BHIs, how wonderful- does make me proud of you. Ha
zodice1 6 months ago
@vekl Keep doing a great job my BHI friend. Your views are now putting you squarely in their camp, some people might say that you are being hateful and racial whilst I might say that you are speaking truth. Keep fighting for truth my BHI friend. Ha ha ha ha.

@zodice1 No. the elect will never consider it racist. How can they since salvation is for all nations.

@vekl You are right, the 12 tribes will be raised up. It is not racist my dear friend, sounding like a BHI, which is so cool ha ha ha.

vekl 6 months ago
@vekl "The GOD of Israel", you are being racial my friend, racial racial racial. He is the GOD of everybody. How could you say such a thing that he is the GOD of Israel? You see my point, ha ha
zodice1 6 months ago
@zodice1 Don't be crazy, guy! The term; 'God of Israel' does not have a racial connotation. It's simply a nominal identification. That He is the one true God. God is God also of the gentiles. Romans 3:29
vekl 6 months ago
@vekl You have absolutely no shame and you appear crazy beyond belief, you are always resorting to racial comparisons why don't you leave your local race history out of this. Actually I was agreeing with you earlier and I was just teasing that THE GOD OF ISRAEL can be taken by some to be racial. You are 100% correct however, he is the GOD of Israel both the Jews in the land and the scattered Israelites known as the gentiles.
zodice1 6 months ago
@zodice1 You are once AGAIN, unable to grammatically and contextually discern when gentiles are gentiles. But if that's what you wann continue to believe then have at it.
vekl 6 months ago

Definitely NOT meaning "hate" in the way we commonly mean today.
gwposey1 7 months ago
@gwposey1 - continuing...
So NONE of these examples suggests God hates us.
gwposey1 7 months ago
@gwposey1 - I certainly hope it's merely a case of being ignorant of the nuances of the original languages of the Bible that caused (and continually causes) these false accusations against God's true character (which general context, comprehensive study of God's Word, and being led by His Holy Spirit makes abundantly clear), but whatever the case, the TRUTH still stands - God IS love, and He emphatically does NOT hate people (again, not in the way that we use the word "hate" today).
That is all
gwposey1 7 months ago
1)It’s not about ignorance my friend. It’s simply about an honest and legitimate attempt to NOT anthropomorphize God and His nature such as what you’re doing. The Hebrew word ‘sane’- (8130- a primitive root; to hate [personally]:--enemy, foe, [be] hate[-ful, -r], odious, X utterly) does not manifest any other connotation other than what is written in both the English and Hebrew.....
vekl 7 months ago
2)Disagree if you wish, but you’d have a problem trying to convince the translators that have interpreted the word to mean just that, of your position. ‘Saw-nay’ in the Hebrew means exactly what it says in the English. The context in Hebrew even verifies this.....
vekl 7 months ago
@vekl - Sigh. Let's just deal with sane (Hebrew) and miseo (Greek) to easily and quickly refute this with Biblical context...
Genesis 29:30-31 "And he went in also unto Rachel, and he LOVED ALSO RACHEL MORE THAN LEAH... And when the LORD saw that Leah [was] HATED..." (this is sane'), so does this mean "hated" in our modern-day usage, or "not preferred"? It takes some REAL mental gymnastics to twist this to fit false doctrine.
Oh let me guess - another pointless "anthropomorphic" accusation
gwposey1 7 months ago
@gwposey1 - what this has to do with anthropomorhpizing I'll never know, but it seems to be your "go to" response, however irrelevant to the discussion...
Now for the Greek miseo...
Luke 14:26 "If any [man] come to me and HATE not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple"
So according to almighty vekl, Jesus requires hatred (again in our modern-day usage) to be a discipleship.
Hmm, believers decide.
gwposey1 7 months ago
@gwposey1 - Perhaps a visit over to biblicalhebrew(dot)com, or just ask some actual Jewish people who are well-schooled in the interpretation of the OT (their book). Sure devout Jews won't agree that all the Messianic references apply to Jesus, but they won't deny them being Messianic.
They also tend to do a much better job of interpreting IMMEDIATE context/intent than Calvinists in 2011, depending on agenda-based interpretation of Elizabethan English translations of Hebrew.
gwposey1 7 months ago
@gwposey1 - It's kinda like how everyone re-interprets "charity" in 1 Corinthians 13 to "love". "Charity" isn't WRONG, it just means/meant something different in 1611 than it does today (and WAS the appropriate word for the translation at that time).
Similarly "conversation" in the KJV doesn't just mean "talking" as it does today.
I often wonder how widespread "speaking in tongues" would be, if "tongue" still primarily mean't "language" as it did when the KJV was printed.
Ughh, prooftexting.
gwposey1 7 months ago
@gwposey1 - And don't worry, I know by now to not expect any direct response to the clear context of the passages in Genesis 29, or Luke 14 (mainly because they annihilate the false interpretation of the words at issue here).
I merely provided them for the benefit of those truth seekers on YouTube that might be duped by a "seemingly" Biblically accurate presentation of God's "supposed" hate of people.
gwposey1 7 months ago

3)Also, regarding the word ‘ta’ab’; again I don’t know where you’re getting your info from, but that’s not at all what you’d find in more legitimate and unbiased concordances. vekl 7 months ago
Come out from among that man-centered theology, my friend!
vekl 7 months ago
Jesus says it is wrong to hate. How can God have a different opinion to himself? Does God not follow his own rules?
Also, how can a being capable of these extreme emotions (love and hate) judge justly? How can he judge someone fairly if he hates them?
This childish and overemotional God in the old testament can only be the creation of man. An all knowing all powerful God would have no need for these petty emotional characteristics.
InsaneLordEL 8 months ago
@InsaneLordEL "Does God not follow his own rules?" god doesn't have to follow His own rules. He is God. the Law giver. If He said that we should not take venegeace, but that venegeance belongs only to Him, is that Him contradicting himself/ no. He sets the standards. Only God is allowed to take venegeance. In the same way, only God has the right and authority to proclaim who's savedd and who's not. not humans.
vekl 8 months ago
@vekl Thanks for the quick reply. I just want to ask this: Christians consider murder wrong, because God says so. If God makes an exception to this rule, is he doing wrong? Is God in this case immoral, or is murder not wrong in the eyes of God?
The same applies to hating people (which God says is wrong).
InsaneLordEL 8 months ago
@InsaneLordEL That's a good question, and I thank you sincerely for your cordiality towards me. But to answer your question, murder is wrong. The term 'murder' is a premeditated action the stems from inquity or unrighteuousness. God has never committed murder. He only 'kills'. There's a difference. When a man comits murder he is doing it out of his own will. But if God never tells someone to commit murder, but He has commanded vengeance, but that was according to His will.....
vekl 8 months ago
@InsaneLordEL 2) In essence; anything that man does out of his own free will (apart from God) is not of God at all, and could be considered either fruitless or just plain sinful. But if God ordains it, then there is an ultimate purpose, and we have to believe that the purpose serves God to some mysterious degree.....

@InsaneLordEL 3) Isaiah 55:8-9 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."
vekl 8 months ago
@vekl I agree that God has never committed 'murder' as the term stands. I wanted to use this example to present the dilemma: God preaches through Jesus to love our enemies and not to hate. By breaking this rule, would God not be doing wrong? If he is not, then this makes hate alright. I assume that God is incapable of sin because he is perfect (Jesus could only be sacrificed because he had no sin). So does this mean hate is not a sin if God hates?
InsaneLordEL 8 months ago
@InsaneLordEL Hate is a sin FOR US, simp;ly because God says so. We must remember that we are not like God so we cannot see everything as God does. Let me give you an idea of what I mean. I once heard an analogy that i thought was perfect regaring the mystery and authority of God.....
vekl 8 months ago
1) On a flat sheet of paper you draw two stick figures. Mr. & Mrs Flat. All these two people know is only what they see in their 2D world. But if I were to stick my finger through the paper, what would Mr. & Mrs. Flat see? Just a circle. So, both would know that I exist, but neither of them have any true idea of what I'm REALLY like. Such is the way with God and His sovereignty...
vekl 8 months ago
2) Again, since God is sovereign over all things, and since He is the ultimate lawgiver, then He has the authority and power to declare something as righteous or wicked. If God hates someone, that does not mean that He's wrong for doing it. But if WE are told not to hate, then we are wrong for doing it.
vekl 8 months ago
@vekl Can God condemn something as wicked yet do the same thing with righteousness? Sorry this is just a complex issue, I want to make sure I understand exactly what you say. You said "hate is a sin FOR US", yet what you are saying in this video is that God hates. So is God's hate different from our hate? I think this video expresses that God hates in our idea of what hate is.
InsaneLordEL 8 months ago
@InsaneLordEL I have no problem answering your questions. In essence we can say that because we are sinful and imperfect beings, we can hate in an ungodly fashion. But because God is good and holy by nature, He has a just cause to hate something or someone. So in essence, you could say that it is a different kind of 'hate'. God is not unfair. He is sovereign, and He can do whatever He desires. (Daniel 4:35)
vekl 8 months ago
@vekl So what you are saying is that what God hates is wrong and what God loves is right. God's judgement of people is fair, because his love and hate are perfectly justified.
If so that makes sense and I can see where you are coming from with this "God hates people" thing. I think you need to stress the fact that Gods hate is different to our (usually unnecessary) emotional hate. Thanks for your time on this :)

If this is how one thinks, then they can not say or truly discern WHY ANYTHING is right or wrong......
vekl 7 months ago
@vekl Only a few hundred years ago it was considered 'right' to burn someone at the stake for being a witch or heretic. Before that (in Roman times) it was 'right' to crucify people for their crimes. This concept of right and wrong changes over time, if you look back in history there has never been a constant moral code in society.
What is right is defined as what is good for society, good for the world and good for other people. Wrong is just the opposite. Objective morals are unnecessary.
InsaneLordEL 7 months ago
@InsaneLordEL "What is right is defined as what is good for society, good for the world and good for other people." This statement of yours, though it may be honest, is still very subjective and it does not prove whether or not somethng is ontologically right or wrong. But I'll end it here. I know you said that you didn't wanna go back and forth. So, I'll leave it alone.
vekl 7 months ago
@InsaneLordEL 2)And they most definitly do not have power to say that teaching AGAINST homosexuality is wrong either. All they can say (as you so humbly stated, and I thank you for that) is that they simply "disagree". But subjectivity does not dictate or negate truth.
vekl 7 months ago
@vekl But what you are basing your stance against homosexual on has not been proven. It is faith not fact. I just have a problem with people who are completely against homosexuality make life harder for other people because of who they are. The issue of gay marriage annoys me because it is just prejudice and fear that cause people to make life harder for homosexuals, just because of their preference (which doesn't affect anybody else).

@libbyandtai I already came to an agreement about this with vekl. Would Jesus strike a man who came at him with murder in his heart? NO! Would you?

God hates individuals .... you reap what you sow. if you sow hatred you will get hatred. righteous for righteous, wicked for wicked. for God to have this principle he must also be able to, in his wrath against wickedness, punish according to his word. we are all guilty.
the new testament came, and Jesus took the punishment for all sins. God's wrath was satisfied, and he gave a gift to be accepted through faith in Jesus the christ. those who reject a gracious offer of love get no mercy.

DudeDesi07 10 months ago
"Hate" is an English translation from the original Hebrew text . You have to take this word in its context. God clearly didn't hate Esau otherwise HE wouldn't have given him his own nation . God favored Jacob not because he loved Jacob better but because God is not a respecter of people. The oldest son was favored back in those times simply because he was oldest. God wanted to show that He doesn't care about birth order or anything that gives men prestige in the eyes of the world.

Everything you've said in this video is subjective. YOU need to prove God exists since I, as an atheist, have nothing to prove. You do though.
debra53758 1 year ago
First of all, it was YOU that decided to make the subjective an arbitrary comment, so the onus is on YOU to disprove His existence, which you will not be able to do. Secondly; this video series is addressed towards believers, not atheists. My job is not to persuade you or convince of God's existence. My job is to TELL you of His existence and His sovereignty and love for His people. Whether you agree or believe or not is not my preogative. That's God's. But I will pray for you, though.
vekl 1 year ago
@vekl
"onus is on YOU to disprove His existence"
You really cannot expect weak atheists to provide evidence that god doesn't exist, by definition, they need evidence to see that god does exist. Treat them just like you would an agnostic.
As for strong atheist, we can make arguments that can demonstrate that god probably doesn't exist. No the difference, especially if you're going to try and convert atheists, even if you're not doing it in this video.

@vekl even the devils believe in God and tremble. and as Isaiah revealed concerning those who know God exists, but do not follow him, he reveals to us when concerning those who do not speak according to the law and the testimony:
HermitintheRain 8 months ago
@vekl To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness. Isaiah 8:20-22
HermitintheRain 8 months ago
@debra53758 Can you prove that He doesn't exists?
TheUser00000000001 1 year ago
@TheUser00000000001 No I can't. But the reason I can't is because I'm unable to be at all places at once which is how I would prove or disprove God exists. Besides, you need to prove he exists since you claim he does exist. Without tangible evidence of Gods existance, there is no reason to believe in him. All you have is an old Bible age book about Bible age people who probably didn't live at all. Prove Noah, Adam and Eve, Moses, lived, then I might be able to believe.
debra53758 1 year ago
@debra53758 You said that we have to prove God's existence, I'm saying you prove us wrong. That's all!
TheUser00000000001 1 year ago
@TheUser00000000001 (1)
MaximumAxiom 11 months ago
@TheUser00000000001 (2)
MaximumAxiom 11 months ago
@debra53758
MaximumAxiom 11 months ago
@debra53758 the burden of proof of God's existence is on God himself. God has made the proof of his existence self-evident. athiesm is actually a misnomer. all so-called atheist would more accurately be called anti-theists; that is those who are against everything about God-especially the truth of his existence. atheism is really nothing more than a fools effort at thinking he can kill God by the craftiness of their reprobate intellect.
HermitintheRain 8 months ago
Your video is just more evidence that there is no God. If there was an all knowing, all seeing God, he certainly wouldn't have created this world for people to live in. If there is a god, he sure does nothing to stop all the murderers, child abusers, rapists, thieves etc. Any god who hates what he created is a monster.
debra53758 1 year ago
@debra53758 I'm sorry but your statement is only subjective and it doesn't hold any truth at all. All you did was state your opinion. Try disproving God first before you come to such an arbitrary claim.
vekl 1 year ago
@debra53758 Well before calling out God on "his faults" maybe you should get to know the story before you talk about it. God created the world perfect..human sinned, in = murder, stealing ,etc. Just because you dont see things being stopped doesnt mean that miracles dont happen.
IAmANaturalBeauty 1 year ago
@IAmANaturalBeauty Thats'a very good question, but i'll give you a hint. God desires a humble and contrite person to serve, love, and obey Him. If you submit yourself to Him, He'll show you great love. And the things of this world will make more sense. You''ll be able to bear the evil in this world with boldness and more confidence, becuz God will fill you with His Spirit. You'll seek to know more about His word and He'll give you a greater sense of peace amidst the evil.

THEGROUND21 2 years ago
I know what the greek says, my friend, and the word for 'workers' in the case of Psalm 5:5 is in the Hebrew which is 'pa'al'. He's indeed referring to PEOPLE not acts. Please get away from your traditions and emotions.
vekl 2 years ago
If you know the Greek says pa'al youd know that the word translates to "to make, to do" an ACTION and when you see an action verb "of" and "in" are interchangable, you seem like you just want to be "right" like God somehow loves you more if he hates others...... "Christians" like you are who drive the lost away, Jesus hung out the sinners yet he hated them? it's laughable how you state all of this as fact
THEGROUND21 2 years ago
Again, I know you're in error becuz the word pa'al is not Greek. It's Hebrew. Christians like me are not responsible for bringing salvation to anyone. That's God's doing. Why are you so upset against God's sovereignty? Why do you hate His authority so much?
vekl 2 years ago
excuse me in my error in saying greek, pa'al is hebrew, you can see my error because you said "in hebrew" and i said "if you know the greek"........my error in typing, but the definition still stands and what I said I just made the eroor in saying greek when i meant hebrew

vekl 2 years ago
they are Valid, I already told you the english translation to pa'al and you havent refuted it, ive already said god so loved the world (world means all) and you fail to see all the places he shows he LOVES the sinner, "Christ died for us while we where yet SINNERS" Romans 5:8 and when you sin he hates you? but loves you when you dont? so you serve a flip flop God?.........Address each thing I said and dont play Dodge Ball like youve been doing

THEGROUND21 2 years ago
I am NOT playing dodge ball with you, bro. What I'm saying to you is that you're trying to mix the context of one word used in one way, in one chapter and associate another meaning from a totally different context to it. You STILL have to provide evidence that the word pa'al' (hebrew) is in reference to something other than people. Can you do that, sir?
vekl 2 years ago
I know what the word pa'al is, but you must be able to prove that the translators did not mean for it to be in reference to people. You do indeed see the letters 'ERS' at the end of worker, don't you? So prove to me that it should've been 'works of iniquity' rather than 'workERS of inquity' Prove it!
vekl 2 years ago
Are you slow? I already said in HEBREW the word translates to "to make, to do" an ACTION and when you see an action verb "of" and "in" are interchangable...........look it up, google. even the blueletter bible will show you that
THEGROUND21 2 years ago
Once again, first of all, you need to watch what you say, if you want to consider yourself a man of God. Who are you calling 'slow'? Are you now getting mad because you cannot answer any of the verses that I bring up? Again, how is it that the term 'WORKERS' as it's used in Psalm 5:5 NOT in reference to PEOPLE? Now, when are you going to answer tat question, my friend? You will NOT receive an answer to your questions until we cover this part first.
vekl 2 years ago
