  • Veronica Lake was a great and talent actress but according to her she had to deal with a petty jealous actress like Joan Caulfield that made everything that she could too take Mrs Lake 's place. However Joan Caulfield was nothing but a simple and boring actress that today nobody heard about.

  • can you imagine a movie like this coming out today? the seventies were such a bad time for this country...

  • @flycentro123 This flick was made in 1970. Not exactly representative of the Seventies, any more so than Gimme Shelter, which came out the same year.

  • @FuckngBastard OK, according to DocWyoming, Flesh Feast was actually filmed in 1967, which makes you even more of an idiot, especially since your comment came shortly after his!

  • @FuckngBastard so what you are saying is that 1970 isnt a part of the seventies,, how should I have worded it than? the time between 1969 and 1980 was a horrible time for America,,, thanks for the Sunday morning laugh..

  • @flycentro123 I remember 1969 to 1980 as a very interesting and exciting time for me, at least.

I had an enormous amount of fun. Wow.

  • I had the odd dream once that I was responsible for Veronica Lakes downfall by time traveling, we falling madly in love and my machines failure that didn't permit me to return to 1950 which lead to her paranoia at the whole event. I'm sorry Veronica Lake, I'm sorry Veronica but I wont build the time machine and ruin our lives. Maybe it will turn out better but as I write this your life still ended horribly so I guess I still make the machine?

  • @totenkray Can I get some of the drugs you are taking?

  • goodness...Veronica Lake wasn't even 50 years old in this movie and she looked over 70. The tragedies of Hollywood and alcoholism. RIP <3

  • @noirpoetix1 This was filmed in 67. She was born in 1922. Which means she was all of 43 when she did this. 43. Holy crap. Today, that's an actress' prime!

  • So sad seeing Veronica Lake is this; reminds me of Joan Crawford in 'Trog'. Glorious stars of yesteryear reduced to trash.

Still, she did leave behind a few classics. She dazzles brilliantly in the noir masterpiece 'This Gun For Hire'.

  • Lake created a few characters that none of the "real actresses" mentioned below could have, but yes her scope was narrow. Her development as an actress was, like her development as a person, cut short by early fame. Hollywood didn't dump her, she left it behind despite getting a number of offers right after her divorce from the horrid De Toth. She made her own path in life. The tragedy is not so much what was done to her as how ill-equipped she was to find her way past the pitfalls of life.

  • @AndSendMe a very accurate assessment

  • They could have called the movie "They Saved Hitler's Flesh."

  • Veronica Lake was an icon of 1940s Holllywood, a huge star. Her career fizzled out in the early 50s, and years later she was discovered working as a barmaid in Manhattan. The publicity from this discovery revived her career in a small way, she had her own talk show for a while in Baltimore, but she also had problems with alcohol and the IRS, and so she ended her career appearing in this atrocity. A pity, she was beautiful and her appeal has lasted for generations now. Rest in Peace, Veronica.

  • she hoped to jump on the craize of aging actress horrors made popular by baby jane.

joan crawford, bette davis, olivia dehaviland, joan fontaine, tallulah bankhead, shelley winters, jennifer jones, debbie reynolds did it,,,just to see their names in lights again.

  • Verionica Lake was NEVER the actress Crawford, Davis, De Havilland, Fontaine, Winters, or Jones were. She was a purely limited actress who never made it big.

  • @ItBrandonSilver true, but in the sixties, hollywood judged theses stars on their age, not talent, so were only given these sensational old hag with hachet roles ,only true performers who played it straight and with dignity were able to show they were good, veronica was a 40`s gimmick, and so hers was what it was, almost unwatchable, saved only by the curiosity of seeing what she looked like in 1970, hers was the least dignified of them all!

  • @ItBrandonSilver sowhat ?they could have still offered her something better than THIS piece of trash movie..imean come oN man...

  • @DrRocksotheClown Maybe should have organized an OWS Hollywood. Right. You are a moron. Vernica Lake was a hard-to-work-with bitch, and a crazy alcoholic to boot. Nobody has a right to be given stuff, nobody except infant children. You idiot.

  • @ItBrandonSilver much agreed

  • Not a great end to Veronoca Lakes acting career, but I bet she had fun playing a 'mad scientist' role. Any part that requires a diabolical laugh is fun. Muaha haaaa!!

  • I can't forgive these filmmakers from the sixties and seventies for doing this to the performers of the Golden Age. An absolute cynical, mean-spirited crime.

  • Actually, I read that Miss Lake financed and co-produced this movie.

  • This is just like what happened to Boris Karloff in his last few films.. :(

Still, the guys @ MST3K should'a got hold of this one!!

  • "What's the matter? Don't you like my little maggots?" A nickel for every time I heard that line...

  • OH, you poor darling Veronica Lake, you were so beautiful and elegent in the 1940's, and look what the studios have done to you know. RIP Veronica Lake (1922-1973).

  • @julianallees you mean you dont think this was a greta last hurrah...?yeah it is amazing they couldnt find her something better ..no respect for hollywood legends...

  • @julianallees You are an OWS-grade idiot. Veronica Lake created herself.

  • I was looking for this movie. no place in my town orders it. Living in Saskatchewan sucks

  • "ahh...that sure gave me the willies!"

  • Veronica, you shoulda stayed retired and let the world remember the BABE you were.

  • This is not Veronica's voice. Does anyone know who dubbed her?

  • poor veronica

  • bring back the hitler ......

  • Wow, I want to see this! I'd still watch anything with Veronica Lake, even if the film isn't so good. She has a certain presence that can make it worth watching..even in this trailor.

  • omfg !!!!!! AWESOME LOL

  • She produced this movie [under the working title "Time In Terror"], and it took more than a year for it to be released- she claimed the director didn't believe in filming close-ups, and that's why most of the post-production was devoted to fixing that problem. After its release, Veronica decided to retire from movies for good!

  • Poor old Veronica Lake. Talk about ending her career on a stinker!

  • I saw this in the Drive-In when it came out and it was weird!

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please view my clip of some rare 1930's movie star cards, including Veronica Lake , Judy Garland, Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Frank Sinatra, Gregory Peck, Errol Flynn,

Ronald Regan, Lauren Bacall, Bing Crosby and many more.

  • Thanks for posting this. I also had heard about this movie, and had never seen any part of it before. I'm not sure if I would want to see more.

  • Amazing to see the older Veronica Lake. I´ve read about this film and thanks to YOUtube I got to see some of it!

  • Ah, the ol' assassin diguised as a janitor routine!
