@FluidDruid200 It is just the type of finish they have different cards have different feels but if you're just starting out then it shouldn't make much of a difference what finish they are so buy a standard pack of bicycle!

Wow, an original flourish taught without a word of narration, slow enough so anyone can do it with enough practice (I recommend beginning with a bridge deck and fewer than 52 cards. Definitely one for my repertoire. Kudos from a fellow prestidigitator.

Not really. Smooth finish has a different "feel". Easier for fans but hard to do aerials. One bad thing is that if you have a face up then face down card on top and slide the face down card to your other hand, the face up card will also follow.

Try taking the bottom card with your index finger instead of your middle finger, while holding the top card with the middle finger.

Then while displaying all four cards, hold the top card with your thumb and ring finger, while letting it rest on the second card which is held between the index and middle finger. Brings the cards closer together and gives it a better look in my opinion. It's abit trickier to do but worth it.

Anyway, the whole thing looks great and the tutorial is equally good!
