I never noticed fellow Brawl players whining about Marth, just people getting annoyed about other's spamming Pit's side+B, Meta knight's B or other moves of the like. Anyway, is Marth officially considered "cheap" in Brawl now? I quite like using him though if he's as "overpowered" as is rumoured, (Which I've never noticed, when using varying characters) I might try using someone else.

Marth has actually improved from melee in terms of attack dmg and speed (relatively, considering that melee is alot faster than brawl). His counter is stronger and his side-B is alot stronger in brawl. The biggest difference, obviously, is that there is no more wavedashing, so spacing is a lot harder. The tip is easier to hit with in brawl, marths up smash hits everywhere along the blade now (makes sense if u think about it, since he throws the sword up)

well my opinion this final round was LAME!!!! melee player's that used the WD glitch are going to be nothing in brawl cuz that WD glitch got fixed so lets see how they do. u guys better find a new glitch to be good or else LOL!

Please stop talking about something you don't understand. Wavedashing was not a glitch, it was just a manipulation of the game physics, and advanced techniques don't make pros. Experience and strategy do. Smart, experienced players will always beat dumb scrubs like you.

You really shouldn't make judgements if you don't own the game :/. Most people (stress on MOST) because he has a long sword and fast recovery. The truth is his recovery isn't that much faster than the next fastest and the range of his sword doesn't open that many new, rigged doors in playstyle.

Yeah, I suppose we all thought Link was broken in Melee with his range and up-b... all I keep hearing from people who do own the game was that he was simply too good. But then again, Sheik isn't at the top of the Melee tier list anymore, either. Guess we'll find ways around stuff. I'm just really worried about the balance in Brawl is all.

Look, I'm not going to make a big stink over what you are saying, but I just think that you should know that Marth is not overpowered. Maybe in melee I guess you could say that some characters had a natural disadvantage against others, but now they made each character practically equal against one another in Brawl. Oh, and in case you if you had not known yet, Marth's power has been weakened much more since Melee.

What I heard is that his tipper is easier to hit with now ( except that there's no wavedashing for spacing, so I guess that negates the larger hitbox ) and is actually more powerful than in Melee. But, fine. I'll take your word for it.
