  • Hey, how do you get that like reflective dock and windows?

  • This is just silly. It doesn't speed anything up 60%. Not even 5%. How long do you think it takes Windoze to put up a pretty picture?

  • Comment removed

  • it didnt speed up my boot time but it only remove the xp logo on startup boot..... crazy!!! and scary!!!

  • my boot.ini is gone too in xp.what virus do u think it is people?

    hmm

  • just replace it open NOTEPADE.exe

    copy paste this in:

    [boot loader]

    timeout=30

    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

    [operating systems]

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /bootlog

    then save it as boot.ini and make sure it's saved to the C: drive

  • ..or if you have xo Home, just change the

    WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional"

    to:

    WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition"

  • tnx dude ur great..where do u get that ,,where did u read that stuff?

  • I'm a computer nerd :)

  • its not just easy........if you mess this up you gotta be a lot in trouble :D

  • get malwarebytes

  • virus?lol

  • their is no boot.ini thingy

  • Because Theres No BOOT.INI because He's Got XP and it only shows it on XP

  • their is no boot.ini

  • Not recommended, because it will also remove the option to boot into safe mode. If you're system is taken over by a virus, your screwed.

  • It will not remove the option to boot into saffe mode. You can still boot into safe mode by rebooting your computer and pressing F10,F11 (or the default Fkey for your computer) this will give you an option to boot into safe mode and a variety of other options

  • Really? I've always though it killed safe mode. If it doesn't, then I'll do this right away. I'll try that. For the time being, disregard my previous comment. I'll post later to see if it works.

  • all it does is remove the xp loading screen (when starting the computer the screen with the loading bar sayin xp) and that will make it slightly faster (you can always uncheck that box if you are unsatisfied)
