I don't know what you are all talking about! There is a big difference between the TIV and teh Dominator. The Dominator actually gets into tornadoes while the TIV just looks pretty.

@billblackhawk51 Actually the TIV 1 is a 97 F-450 with the 7.3 Powerstroke not the 6.0. The TIV 2 is 08 Custom Dodge powered by a 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel, modified with propane and water injection

The Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV) is a heavily modified Ford F-450 truck used as a storm chasing platform and built by IMAX director Sean Casey. This heavily armoured vehicle can drive into a relatively weak tornado (F0 to F3) to film it and take measurements.

The most interesting thing about this was that we learned the wind speed inside the tornado on the ground is less than the wind speed 50 feet above.

that thing weight about 8,000 pounds and could go 70 mph, it heavy because of armor plate body. this thing get alot of attention from cops and storm chaser community, therefore it was pulled over by cops about 34 times

a tank that gun has been ripped off by tornado(just joking)it was based on ford f450 dually truck and were modified into a tank for film a tornado for sure the rubber tracked tank don't destroy the road, but wear on road way may vary like a heavy truck
