  • i think the video d90 only up to 5 minutes....sucks!!!

  • 720p movie///yea, my finepix does 1080p

  • @eireannsg this is the first dslr EVER that can shoot movies and its made in 2008. Check some things before writing comments.

  • You sound as if you have never heard the name Canon before...

Canon is so much more user friendly.

  • I am selling my nikon d60 on ebay only 18 hours left Ebay Item Number 150707940635 check out the listing not long till bidding ends!

  • can you interchange the lens with this DSLR

  • @LittleofLife i cant even comprehend the unqualification gone into that question...of course you can interchange the lenses with a dslr...any dslr, for that matter.

Please inform yourself properly before considering to buy such a camera.

  • @sexDrugsNrockNroll1 fuck off.

  • @LittleofLife u mad bro?

  • Hi, Im 10 and my 11th birthday is coming up and i wont a nice but cheap dslr with hd video like this one on video. If any suggestions please can u reply?

  • @jasongane d3100 you dont need a d90

  • @jasongane Canon EOS600D

  • I have had this camera for 2 year now, fantastic performance in natural light and when used with a speed light but I don't agree at all with the indoor photography, when I turn the ISO up it doesn't make much difference at all (indoors)and this has been my main issue with it from the beginning! Even with a fixed 50mm f1,8lens I didn't see much of a difference hence my only complaint with this model.

  • @suzieplanto I'm inclined to agree. Not so great indoors. Wonderful otherwise.

  • Awesome

  • movie inside a movie!

  • NIKON CORP, JAPAN IS WAY MORE BETTER THAN CANON COMPANY......

NIKON BEATS CANON AT ANY SIDES!!!!

  • who is the better d90 or d7000 for modling

  • great video !

  • im getting this camera in a week and i couldnt be more excited

  • nikon d90 or canon 550d? I cant decide!

  • @mattaston102

Go for D90. It's got too many features that the canon 550d doesn't have.

  • @mattaston102 nikon d90 believe me :))))

  • Nikon d90 or the d5100? I'm leading more towards the d90 lol

  • @DYE9 go for d90 cuz d5100 is almost like d3100 :))

  • Nice video! Good job, thanks!

  • i want this d90...but i will buy it body...and i'm thinking of buying a good lense...so do you have eny advice for a good lense?

  • @man0204 it depends on your purpose ! in my opinion, get Ni 85 f1.8 = portrait / Tokina 11-16 f2.8 = landscape / Sigma 150 f2.8 = macro / Ni 35 f1.8 = indoor lowlight ^^

  • i bought the d90 back in sept 2011, i'm loving it just wish it came with the 18-105mm lens instead it came with the 18-55 mm lens. does anyone know if it's possible to save your manual settings?

  • how much that???

  • Okay, it's pronounced Nick-On, right? none of this Neee-kon buisness.. D:

  • @Ungliebtx I thought it was pronounced Ni-Kon (the ways its written)

  • Hi i have a BIG problem which i donno how to solve by myself..so i want to access to the white balance setting BUT ITS LOCKED! saying i cannot use it with the current settings...how to i unlock it?

  • @tamiko2kurimi Are you shooting in auto or manual?

  • @Russz0rz yea i found how i had to be on manual lol thx ^^...also iv got another question...sometimes with the manual the light or more like the color goes dark all of a sudden?? i dont think i changed annything to make it like that tho

  • @tamiko2kurimi Well.. When you're in manual you have full control over the cameras settings.

I recommend looking at videos on how to get into manual. But one thing you can do is switch it into auto, look at the settings the camera thinks you should use, pop them into manual and adjust from there. In some situations you'll find you need a longer shutter speed to let in enough light. But you get used to manual after a while :).

  • @Russz0rz yea true but then with the longer shutter the pics are blurry...but well i guess ill juts have to get use to it :) thank you tho..again :)

  • @tamiko2kurimi that has to be one of the worst parts about long shutter speeds haha. It depends what conditions you're shooting in, if you want a fast shutter speed in low light you might want to get a flash.. But yeah, use what you have I guess :D. And no worries. I never usually have pleasant convos on youtube comments :S.

  • @tamiko2kurimi Slowing the shutter speed is not the only way to let more light in. Pick a smaller aperture value which will open up your iris to let more light in. Check out my Aperture lesson on my channel. It will help you tremendously.

  • I'm 14 .. I have passion for Photography. My Mom bought me nikon D90 two weeks ago. and I need to say this.. IT IS THE BEST. well, there are new DSLR, D90's still the best.

  • @CiaryAndalis I'm 14 too and also have a great passion for photography, only wish my mom would buy me a d90, I'm now saving up...

  • i think that space among what's semi pro and pro is smaller these days. d7000 is all we want, visit... free dslr . com remove spaces and have a zero cost d7000

  • i had err on my nikon d90 can u help me :(

  • I wanted this camera for years, but then by the time I saved up, I was more into videography, so i bought the 7D. But the D90 is an amazing camera.

  • how about the d3100? is it good?

  • @213rusty It is good but D90 is better. You can also take advantage of Nikon CLS (creative lighting system) and the camera has a built in AF motor so you don't always have to buy lenses with AF motors.

  • Someone should turn off this guy's motor mouth. Secondly, I agree with the guy down there aways. This is a photo camera, and I hope to hell that Nikon never loses track of that. You video freaks can go get your kicks on crappy cameras with great videos, okay? Leave the still shooters alone, and don't impose your wimpy, whiney voices about "great video" potential. I'm sick of it. I intend to buy this camera for the photo quality.

  • This is an awasome camera!! I highly recommended!

  • fuck the movie mode it's a photo camera, if you want to record movies buy a movie camera omfg ?!?! i want high quality cutting edge photos !!!!!!

  • @Miketamine Just thought I'd voice the fact that it is alot more practical for a person like me who takes photos of horses at events but also needs to video parts of it for friends would actually find it very beneficial to have both photo and video at the same time, not all of us want to lug two cameras around :D

  • Is this better than the 7d canon.?? let me know please first time buying a high edge camera and i want the best in video.photos and in low light places

  • @calikalinfo No, D90 is not better than 7D and there is a pretty decent price difference as well. D90 has been discontinued and now been replaced with D7000 which is an amazing camera.

If you want to compare 7D with another camera, you'll have to look at D7000 instead. I have used D7000 in low light at high ISO and the results were pretty amazing. I bought it as a backup in case the primary camera malfunctions at an event.

  • @PhotographersOnUTube Thanks on the helpful info & the time to reply

  • talks too much

  • I'm only 16 but i realized my passion is photography. I have the d3000, but now i'm saving up for this :)

  • @legolas9007 Good luck! Don't forget to look into D7000. Another great product from Nikon.

  • this is the present ive been waiting :)

  • with nikon d700 nikon d3 nikond90 canon is way behind ohh i forgot the d7000

i do use both nikon and canon and i have to say nikon gets better picture quality than

canon, canon has better movie recording but regarding photography nikon RoCKS!!!

  • got a d40 with kit lens and opteka 6.5mm cant wait to buy the d90...

  • neyekon? i thought it was pronounced neekon.

  • @karrymotter it depends on where the fuck u r from, english, australian, american, african, canadian or whatever.

  • @karrymotter Haha and where Im from its just nick on

  • I got it from Canada, much cheap what we find here in US

  • all u dumb yanks pronounce nikon wrong

  • @shouldyray same here, hoping santa might get it for me lol :P

  • porque no lo poneis en castellano o català ? estamos creo que en Espanya ,

  • porque no lo poneis en castellano o català ?

  • I have a Nikon F40 (manual not digital) with a 28-80mm lens, this other lens which is 70-300mm and a light! (the one that you attach at the top).

My parents are planning to get me a Nikon D90 for Christmas and I wanted to know if I'd be able to use the 70-300mm lens, 28-80mm lens AND the light even though the Nikon F40 isn't digital and the Nikon D90 is.

  • First i wanted to get a Canon EOS 1000D, and then i found this miracle, and I'm getting it!

  • hello, anyone can tell me how much for Nikon D90 now??

  • @vannyeesor try this amazing new site called google.com :)

  • @vannyeesor LOL.. $1250-$2000

  • @vannyeesor check amazon. I got mine for about 900 USD, brand new.

  • i have two latest nikon point n shoot cameras, i am highly disappointed with them. sony point and shoots are far better. i have a fuji dslr... wondering nikon would fare against that. i really would love to buy the d90 if it delivers what ir promises.

  • D90 the best

  • SOLD! Im getting one in the next couple of days... CAN'T WAIT!

  • @Jeffoy21 I have a Nikon D90, this is a very good camera but better wait for the Nikon D7000, I'll but one also

  • actually.. the flash sucks balls, do not believe this guy.. If you want good lighting .. go outside or buy a hot shoe flash.

  • Hi, great explanation and thanks for that. I want to by D90 but I am worry is it to late for that camera because now i almost end of 2010? I am not professional photographer but I know just enough I believe. I am traveling a lot around the world and I have a lot of pictures with my Canon 880is. Is there something newer? Thanks, Sinisa

  • reminds me of the d40x

  • I want to get a nice camera and am stuck between the D90 and the Rebel T2i. Video recording is just a bonus as I really won't use it. Thanks

  • @damstr then the D90 should be an easy choice!

The T2i is just an entry level Dslr.

This is between Entry level and semi-professional.

  • @trevorskates94 nikon fanboy would say d90, canon fanboy would say T2i

but to me, i would prefer D90 than T2i, im a canon user btw..

  • thx can i get 200mm instead of 55mm?

  • I so wanna have this :( BADLY..

  • im having a hard time finding a FULL DETAIL tutorial for my d90...i cant handle this monster! Its like piloting an aircraft..

  • @kavourakos /watch?v=-3ICQ0oNTUQ&playnext=1&videos=qa4XYaE1dBE

(add the youtube addy to the beginning.)

    Maybe try that one?

But in all honesty - just learn what you need to learn and you 'll find it in the manual. Meaning that if you know what you are looking for eg. how to change the ISO then if you look that up in the manual it gives clear instructions.

  • @lordofvarde

We speak American in America so go fuck your self.

  • i have been saving up allllll summer long for this camera. i finally have like 1300, just enough, the reward of owning this camera after working all summer to get it will be fantastic. im upgrading from the nikon d40, to the d90. its a smart choice i think. anything less would be the same as owning a d40, and anything more would be to advanced and expensive. perfect choice i thnk

  • @eLLriDe420 that's what i'm currently working this summer for.(: saving up for bby D90 :3

  • great video.

  • Nikon or Canon?

  • @SkatZherKapiCat

    both or nikon

  • @epecholdas ah., so Nikon D90 is much better? :)

  • @SkatZherKapiCat

Nikon all the way baby. I had a canon FTb, nice camera. I had three good lenses for it. When I went to get a new camera I found out that canon changed there mount and my lenses would not work on newer film and digital cameras. What a load of shit that is. I vowed never to give canon one more dime.

  • @jamaicajed ah ok. Thanks

  • Excuse the possibly dumb question, but what is 'noise' in imaging?

  • @TheIQcumber

hello my friend, do you know what is a noise in sound? unwanted sounds. the same with goes with images, unwanted color information or brightness. i call them - colourful dots, look at this pic upload.wikimedia.o r g/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/87/Highimgnoise.jpg/350px-Highimgnoise.jpg

  • @epecholdas ah okay, cheers for the answer :)

  • When you do shutter speed the pictures come out blurry is there anyway to fix that ?

  • Comment removed

  • wish i would've gotten this instead of the d3000. :/ i love my d3000 but the d90 is sooo much better. i'm probably just gonna save up for the d300.

  • @Jaaakeeeee good for you.

  • @ChiquitaTheBanana hahahahahahha......

  • do ya need the lens

or can ya just use the body?

  • I really wish Nikon had 1080p video and mic input.

  • I love my nikon D90 Great pictures!

  • Just returend my Nikon D3000 because it S&%#!...And got the D90 insted. Loving it

  • down side only 5 min of hd vid :(

  • @somarriba + vid & audio compression quality is mediocre, annoying CMOS' rolling shutter effect...

  • @somarriba All DSLRs with video are time limited per continuous take.

Besides, that is not an issue at all. Only real amateurs make viewers sit through a continuous shots of 20-30 minutes. No scene seen on TV or movies is that long before a cut or change of perspective. If you really really need to shoot continuously for an hour get a camcorder, that is what is made for. Or drop the shot and start another immediately.

  • I love this camera and wanna have it. =)

  • The D5000 is better

  • @tjacass D5000 sucks.. the body of the 5k fells much more like plastik! next point is that the 5k only can handl with af-s objektivs! d90 is able down to the af..

3 the d90 have a much better display! bigger and better resolution! you have a better support to battery grips and thousend things more...

in my opinion the d5000 is a point and shot cam for kids they want to have fun! its ok but dont tell the d5000 is better..

  • I love my D90. I upgraded a year or so ago from a D50 and it is phenomenal. At low iso's (100-320 or so) the image quality is as good imo as a d3---if you have good lighting on your subject or in the scene.

Using the 50mm 1.8 at f/7.1 gives you UNBELIEVABLE sharpness. I used it for portraits for my undergraduate thesis.

  • everyone is hyped up about the movie recordings. if you want to record movies go for a camcorder or the canon rebel T2i. I am still deciding, but i am leaning towards D90 atm and trying to stay below the 1k range.

  • @12s0o very true. if a dslr needs to sport a hd recording to attract customers, there must be someth wrong with it ! and i dont trust nikon certainly.

  • @12s0o lmao

  • saving up for this :]

  • @shouldyray you got it yet?

  • @trevorskates94 Yes! :D A lot of my photos on flickr are with my d90. It's /raymoose

  • @shouldyray did you get it yet? :D

  • @sendhelpbaylon Yep, I've had it for about a year now :] It's lovely. But now I am saving up for an FX camera since most of my lenses are prime ones @_@ MEHHH.

Still, it is amazing, no gripes. It takes the pictures I want it to take and has enough customization for me. :]

  • Wiz Khalifa use this camera for his tour I NEED THIS!!!!

  • Excellent video!

  • i love this camera. pictures are stunning!!!!

  • I've had the D90 for over a month now, it's a great camera. :)

  • I currently have the d60. And am going to be upgrading to the d90. Unless the rumored D90s is released

  • Comment removed

  • Another great review of a great camera.I have to admit, I'm not sure whether or not I could live without the weatherproofing of the brilliant Nikon D300s for example, which seems to be getting more reasonably priced nowadays.Still, the price of this camera is far more pleasant than even the best offers on the D300s... and it can apparently compete with it when it comes to picture quality.

How good would the reviews be if not considering the video functions (which I can easily live without)?

  • Interesting review, I'm a Canon photographer myself but some things about the Nikon are appealing.

  • i love it how much is it?? i have a nikon D60 but i want a really good good camera

  • Actually, its pronounced knee-con. It's a Japanese brand, so Japanese pronunciation.

both Nycon and Nickon are wrong.

  • When you call Nikon USA on the phone, even they pronounce it Ny-con. I think Nikon corporate doesn't care what you call it as long as you buy it!

  • Comment removed

  • @Flamingwhut

were not in Japan and we speak American. Get over it.

  • @jamaicajed wow, posted this about 6months ago, and it was a response to other people arguing over pronunciation. You need to chill out man.

  • nope

  • although i must say great vid, you probably make me buy the D90

  • Nick-on not nyyyyyykon

  • nope

  • @lordofvarde hahaha he sed nikkor properly but every video that an american has done of a nikon theyve sed ny-con lol (:

  • what a fluent review! Thanks there.

  • I really need help on choosing a camera. Im choosing either the nikon d90 and the canon t1i. I like the D90 for its image quality and the T1i for its video quality. I really need help. thanks

  • Quintinlicious you cant go wrong with any of them. Go to the store and try them both , I personally have a D90 and really like it.

  • @vladilarabie10 But at the stores i go to like walmart because they sell the d90 cheaper but online. They dont sell the T1i and D90 at the store itself and thats the problem.

  • go to bestbuy and get the geeksquad protection plan on either about 250 dollars gets you a 5 yr full replacement gurantee

  • @Quintinlicious

I was in the same situation as you a week ago. It was basically between these two cameras as well but I finally went with the D90. For me it was also a image quality VS. video quality issue but you need to think of what the main purpose is with a camera. You take pictures. The video function is a great feature but I didn't want that to be the main reason for buying a camera. But you really need to try them out before buying. Go see which one you truly like better and go for it!

  • @Kuraiyo Well I want a camera that i will use mostly for its image and video. But i guess what your saying might be telling me something. Ill just keep thinking. Thanks for your advice :D

  • the will also give you 30 days to try it with a full refund try out both. thats what i did and i ended up with the d90. If you hve the patience save up for that 7d.

  • Finally a D90 review I can appreciate. Thanks for showing a review with information that I can use. Im getting my D90 this afternoon..

  • Man Vincent Versace....he is a good photographer.

I love my D300 but this camera I wouldn't mind getting.

  • D90 is a kickass camera. I love it (partly because I can't afford higher end Nikon cameras) :)))

  • You love it because you cannot afford a better camera. lol......

  • That's what I said (almost): partly because I can't afford higher end NIKON CAMERAS. ;)

  • Do you not understand why I noted what you said. You like something because you cannot have something better? I like my wife because I cannot afford to have a prettier wife. Hrm hahaha!

  • Right. Whatever. Obviously we don't have similar sense of humor so ... Yeah. Just fuck off will you

  • Okay, I apologize for highlighting your continuous stupidities.

  • Did anyone go from a D50 to a D90?
