The part where you have to run for the detonator is the worst checkpoint in the game. I don't know what difficulty you're playing on here, but I'm doing it on hard and even using cover I get shot to shit. Getting there isn't hard but getting back is a bitch. I don't understand why some guy has to run for a trigger when there's a ton of tanks that could just steam roll right over those dicks?

I have part 2 not 1 yet and I have three, but 3 seems more serious the other two were more funny than anything cracking jokes and shit, but 3 is tuff and it's more challenging, but I like it, but I do miss the platoon from the first two games though.

About your question with the stress and all. I think that they put the scene in there because if you remember the first scene with the dinosaur. Miller had a kid, and if you were to relate to how a father feels in war then this scene would make a lot of sense. No one wants to die, especially if you had a kid.
