Holieway was a surprisingly good passer. His pass hit Jackson in stride.
I second that he was the best option QB ever. Surprisngly strong for his size breaking tackles you wouldn't expect, read the option as well as I ever saw, and as dangerous a runner as any of the running backs.
I helped deliver my youngest daughter, Ashley, at Norman Regional Hospital in 1987. The OB/GYN told me, "Don't fumble her, Jameele! She is now a manager at Hooter's. Gawd, I'm getting old......

Is Jamelle Holieway in the College Football Hall of Fame? If not, he should be. He was one of the best option quarterbacks to ever play the game, if not one of the best overall quarterbacks to ever play the game. I was eight years old when he was the big name in sports, and while Oklahoma wasn't my favorite team, in the mid 1980's, they were unstoppable. Jackson, Boz, and especially Holieway. They were fun to watch.
Keith Jackson is probably my favorite Sooner. It's hard to shine on a wishbone team when you make your living catching the ball, but man alive... He sure could play. He was a stellar pro and is an all-around good human being.
Its been a long day however these videos cheered me up. I love some great football highlight from the 1980's. These made me wanna attend OU in my youth all the way from Buffalo. Makes a hard week worth it to get to Saturday. Can't wait till September however youtube will hold me over. Thank You again.
I still consider Jameel Holieway the best option QB ever. He was a great QB in the triple option with speed and amazing strength to break tackles plus he had a surprisingly accurate arm when called upon.
if penn state would've beaten oklahoma, that wouldve been their 3rd championship. it wasnt to be however. but give the sooners credit they had a good coaching staff and a good nucleus of talent. like bosworth and keith jackson.
In the words of Brian Bosworth "hed get the ball three times a game, score twice, and then complain the rest of the time of not having a shot at the heisman trophy"
Does Keith Jackson make all their Touchdowns?!?!?!?

He's on his way to prison for shoplifting at a Walmart store. His life has gotten worst since his college football days.

Keith Jackson was a super college tightend. The catch he made against Nebraska was my favorite, one handed near the side-line.
