well I cannot use COLOR BALANCE in photoshop... I mean I type some text, i use polar coordinates and after i open color balance... nothing happens if I modify those values.... the picture remains the same... WHITE TEXT ON BLACK BACKGROUND
I recently, changed heads on a bathing beauty, the body was tanned and the head was not and the color was starkly different. Can u do a tutorial on how to balance the two???
Usually the best thing to do is to use curves adjustment layers to just one of the two parts you want to match (lets say the head you cut out, place the adjustment layers above the head and make sure you select "clipping mask")
-Start adjusting the curve with just black and white to match the luminance of the face with the rest of the body.
-Then start adjusting each RGB (or better CYMK) curve

how can you complain when some is teaching you how to do something if you dont like it... its a lot more videos teaching you to do the same thing watch them
I am new to photoshop and don't know whether this happens to everyone but my curser icon seems to become stuck on the "hand tool" after a while and refuses to let me uses any of the other tools.
I luv your tutorials and your accent as well.. please keep up the good work master! I hope u post a tutorial about text and face and objects shadow. peace!
Well there is a way to do this. I'm making tutorials myself too, but didn't upload them to youtube yet. When you're on your backgroundlayer, make a new transparant layer. Turn the blending mode to Soft Light. Get a brush, with the 'porclein white' color. Change blending mode of the Brush also to Soft Light. Start brushing the face, and after that, change the opacity of the layer. You'll see, it's some kind of virtual make-up.
I like your tutorial. It's 'meaty' full of background information.I appreciate the way you explain a tool before launching into clicks. It gives one time to adjust to why one is using it and it's function. With many tutorials I appreciate slower pace of speech at crucial points. But not enough to nod off!!
how do you take out a sunburn from someone's face in photoshop? I tried using brushes for touchups & tried changing the colour of face, but, it doesn't look natual. And I just want the face selected. Can anyone help?

it's nice for this close up, so what happens if I want to do this same thing to a picture with a hole body or half body without altering the rest of the image, let's say the shirt, or the background? I know you can get it around, but my point is that this method works only with close ups.

Don't tell me what to do!!! I'm just joking, thanks a lot for taking the time to respond and teach me about this, I kindda figure it out but I really appreciate the fact that you take the time to help me and other with this, I really like your tuts. and I learn a lot from them, if it wasn't for people like you I would be wasting money in some useless books out there that doesn't teach much.
I really enjoy your tutorials, there are a lot of them on Youtube but not this good. A great thing is that you don't talk to much - a very common mistake. Great work!

turns out all you have to do is hit the space bar when it happens... otherwise re-instal
davieboy94 2 years ago
I had this issue also, i read it was related to there not being enough memory, but don't know for certain if this is the case.
I resolved it by restarting Photoshop.

Make a selection of the areas to be changed and apply a layer mask. That way you can fine tune any alterations or areas that you don't want effected.
