The DoE-Dept. of Energy- was created in the '70's to "reduce our dependence on foreign oil via increased production here. At that time, America produced 70% of its own, and imported 30%

Now, almost 40 years later (and billions upon billions of our tax dollars spent on the DoE) America produces only 30% of our consumption in oil and imports 70%!

Another fine example of our government saying they are here to help (and tax us to hell), only to leave our Country in worse shape.

End the DoE NOW.

Good-paying jobs for years to come, including in manufacturing. Generating security and self-reliance for our Nation and way of life. What is so hard to comprehend the logic of doing so?

@memama2 We all know this is true. Obama and his ilk won't last past 2012 elections IMHO.The American public has had enough of the ulterior motives and shallow dreams of the green movement and Environmentalists.
