If Cohen had never acted with a mustache, I think no one would have ever made that association. I mean, i'ts not an evidence. They are not that similar. And I even think that Johnny Depp with a great mustache and fake teeth would be insane. The shape of his head and his jaw structure are more similar to Freddie's, and his experience in acting would do it.  Just take him in fear and Loathing in Las vegas and had a mustache and you almost got it.

First of all, Can't wait for this film! I agree, it's about time. Second, I believe this is a great opportunity for Sacha to show us what he's made of. He should be aware of how big a deal this is with the countless Queen/Mercury/Music fans. He should know 'the eyes of the world' will be watching and seize the moment to deliver the role of a lifetime which, I for one, am convinced he can do. I'm VERY excited for this movie. Been a Queen fan since I was in high school in the 80s, and will remain so forever. The story of Freddie and Queen is certainly one of the most interesting in 20th century music, and definitely deserves to be told on the big screen. I think Cohen will do an excellent job - maybe even win an Oscar for his portrayal of Freddie. I'm also encouraged by the fact that Peter Morgan is writing the script, and that Brian, Roger, and John are supporting and consulting.

Oh my god! I loaded up pictures of Freddie and Sacha when you said that... they could be twins in some pictures! I haven't heard of this movie, and I'm glad it's shooting this year!
