A guy in my HS (class of '91) worked like a dog to buy a car and he thought he got an exciting car with a XT. A month later *something* broke and the part, and just the part, was $1500... it had to be ordered from Japan... and took 6 weeks to get here. 6 weeks of walking to work. And the driver's window would stick and he had to get out of the car to pay the tollkeeper. Suddenly the dull old Buicks, Toyotas and Volvos we drove weren't so dull.
112 HP may not sound like much by today's standards, but with 134 lb/ft of torgue at only 2800 rpm it has a surprising amount of grunt and weighing only 2850lbs it's really fun to drive. With a drag coeficient of 1.29 there's enough power to give the car a top speed of 120mph.
my 87 supra has climate control, electronically adjusting suspension, 8-way power seats, lighted vanity mirrors on both sides *unusual for newer cars*, *im pretty sure it started in 87* speed sensitive power steering, little sprayers for the flip-up headlights...
Subarus have always been the only JapScrap cars with character or personality. My Aunt had a Brat (with the seats in the bed!)-I adored that car when I was a little kid. Very Cool Vid-5 Stars.

Hey just for info, when the 4wd is turned off, is it rear wheel or front wheel driven? I think your dash is sort of cooler than my gauge sweeper.

My Grandpa has a GL and a GL-10 (both wagons from '85) with this dash. Neither have been driven for over ten years, though...
Wish my Loyale had a dash like this. D:

Does this Subaru have a chime or the Electronic Voice Alert?
Jac2Mac 4 years ago
Did a walkaround of the car in an open field, but it needs some music or something to make it interesting. Don't have any editing software though.

rev it to 4500 with full throttle then you get some boost for the video
ineedajoint 4 years ago
Won't boost without load, this is an automatic. You can see the boost display in the incar driving video
