  • Check this cooking tip too: When Rice is done

  • but the cream is soo watery, it must be a little thick !!!!but thanxx

  • that icing looks......strange

  • My gosh i thought you had to do like tons of thing to do a freakin flower!!! Thanks this really helped

  • huh?.....what did i miss?

  • ...............ok

  • what was that

  • Wasted 32 seconds of my life

  • i think that it waws good

  • Some of you need to learn how to spell properly before you go insulting others. Seriously, calling people "bad words" doesn't make you win the "argument" it just makes you look like you have no vocabulary skills at all. It's really silly to fight with people online just because you can hide behind your computer and you don't have to face any consequences. Really, fix what is in your mind before you go judging others you don't even know. You're fighting in comments for a cooking tips video! LOL!

  • @bbyitsbrandi

    thats absolutely right

  • lol

  • Put a dot in the middle :/

  • this reminds me of that stuff people use to stick dentures to their gums

  • @1msharrypotterfan nice u burned her i think she was on her rag or something lol

  • .....The title says "How to Make Flower Icing ON CAKES". Which is, I'm assuming, implying that you do this directly on the cake (with a turntable) so you don't need to take it off the rose nail.

  • I think she might have been a bit nervous on this video.

  • wow it's so simple but way but why do you see this movie as anyone can know a

  • thiss video really sucked!!!

  • boo

  • your icing seems a little soft, but thx for sharing because i didn't know this .u've been of much help

  • shouldn't we see the flower at the end and not her face?

  • you have the right instruments but not the right technique... this is useless!

  • Where can i buy the piping bag used in this video?

  • IS THAT IT....OMG !!!!!!!!!!

  • omg omg omg how do i make a u?

  • OH MAN!THAT SUCKS!THAT WAS LIKE 32 SEC!THAT SOULD BE CALLED A SHOW!

  • GAY!! HAhA IKNo She knoS HoW MakE BiggER OnES BuT SEnCE ShE DidnT ITS GAY!!!

  • Well, whoopie skippee. You might benefit from attending cake decorating classes.

  • i would like to see you take that off of that spinning thing

  • @1msharrypotterfan That made no sense.... and what do you mean? She probs watched it to improve her skills. And she just didn't find them here..... She is a bit snobbish though.

  • I tried this FAIL it turned into a sploge of icing on a cake LOL

  • @japaneseeraserfan18 Your first problem is that you tried something from "cookingguide". Never do something from "cookingguide".

  • i was expecting something a little more professional but okay...

  • Very poor explanation! Let's see you take it off the nail. I decorate professionally. Do not follow her directions!

  • 0:22 over and over again to hear her say "TIT FLOWER" xD

  • the flower looks pretty but when you try to transfer it it'll get ruined

  • @darkbreeze9009

Yes, but your supposed to do that onto the cake, not onto a metal thing like that.... I think, cuz it wont work any other way...

  • @luvakatsuki3

Hmm, though, just saying, if the icing is stiff enough you can make a flower on a nail like that and then slice it off (carefully!) with a knife or a pair of scissors... I've seen it done. But otherwise, a flower like that is virtually impossible to get off a nail.

  • nice :)

  • i want cake now and ice cream...well i have ice cream imma go haz some cya!

  • that is weak!

  • thats stupid thats common sense i was looking for skilled work

  • @madandlu you don't have to be such a little snotty bitch.

  • @madandlu *too & *you're. BTW, don't be so rude.

  • @madandlu Your comment, where to start. Its bitchy and pointless, and I'm 16 and i know manners better then you ever will. BTW where are all the videos of you making flowers? :P

  • @floatingpineapple I dont waste my time creating stupid videos on roses, but if you want me to I will bitches!

  • @madandlu

atleast she is prettier that you!

  • @madandlu ... so you dont like pink? XD

yes the icing is a little thin but honestly you dont have to be rude.

and age doesn't have anything to do with talent hun

  • and like how do u get it off cause ur gonna mush it cause ur icing is wayyy to thin

  • @seddiefan4ever your supposed to do it on the cake itself she's just using that so she wouldn't have to make a whole cake to show us one little flower:)

  • GAY!

  • you sure waisted this ,

  • wow this is so so stupid

  • love the flower! :)

  • Cuuuuut

  • @oooTOFAooo yes there is a difference. Its that buttercream is much lighter. Gum paste is much easier to mold with and the other ones the thicker one. Hope this helped! :)

  • one question please!! can anyone tell me if there is any difference between ICING, FROSTING, GUM PASTE and BUTTERCREAM??

  • grate that flawer lookes cut but how im i sobost to take it of the serfis

  • your icing looks watery. ]:

  • wow i'm no chef but that icing looks way too thin. like if you put anything to it to transfer it, it would be sticky as hell. :/

  • OMG!!! It's so simple but it looks professional!

  • how do you get it on the cake?

  • @maritzaade - let it harden and then remove it from the flower nail onto your cake

  • Sunburnt?

  • thats bullshit

  • Howdini Is way better her flower looked like caca 

  • and how do you get it off??

  • cool!

  • the icing is too thin, it's impossible to transfe that flower to a cak when it is so thin....

  • @xXNajayXx She said you could also do that on the cake.

  • @xXNajayXx you wouldn't normally do it on the flower pin...that was just her showing you how to do it... those kinds of flowers you would ice directly onto the cake.

  • Fail

  • Comment removed

  • @spazpiggy You Shove It Down Your Pants, That'll Make It Thinner. It Always Works for Me.

  • Your icing is weak, woman

  • @GustavKunoe its nit weak it really needs to be carefully squished bcoz if she just like squish super hard itll turn like a pooo design xD

  • @GustavKunoe rude much? if you think you can do better then go ahead and post up your own video but u dont needa say rude things to people

  • if the icing was thicker and you added a different color dot in the center it would look cute

  • tht was madd quick Btw the flower is BEA.....utiful

  • tht was madd quick tw the flower is BEA.....utiful

  • that was quick

  • Hi, I am a novice. Can you please tell me why my fondant icing id drying and cracking. Thankyou

  • @Redogsnet the temprature is too high thats why. then the room u are trying to ice in is too hot, the icing wood dry faster and would crack. and air bubbles would form.

  • how do u get it off the thingy???

  • @missbethanybaby use kitchen shears. open the cutting edge slightly and slot it under the flower. makes sure you only slot it at the tip of the shears if not it would be difficult to put the flowers on cupcakes etc

  • u r good....... thanks

  • i couldnt see the flower because of the text infront of it!!!

  • @amalanik you can turn that off, you see that white arrow pinting up behind a grey surface? put your mouse on that and click CC.

  • @gab9hp ohhh haha thanks!! the flower looks great!

  • @gab9hp wow it rlly works thanks!

  • Amazing! U may be the answer 2 all my cooking prayers:)

I have recently learnt 2 make bread, curries, chillies & many other lovely tasty treats 2 put on 4 a party. Guests have 2 eat! My problem is ~ I tried 2 make chocolate cake ~ but when I mix the chocolate in with the (Cream sugar, butter & eggs) it always turns in2 a stoge! I make lovely cakes ~ fluffy current cakes, but my chocolate sponge SUCKS! Please help! :(

  • It is not necessary to put frosting on the nail and then put a piece of parchment paper over it. Nobody does that in an actual bakery but i think that is how it is taught in wilton courses to make it easier to remove. For those that are wondering, you can remove the flower with a pair of half open scissors. Just remove it with the tips of the scissors. But yeah, that's a pretty crappy flower.

  • What next?

  • @PinkSportOvertim3 well she forgot a step. before you make the flower put a dot of frosting on the flower nail, then put a piece of pastry paper ( I forgot what it was called) on top of the frosting spot you made and THEN make the flower, that way you can take the flower off the nail without damaging it, then put it in the fridge to let it harden a bit so you can handle it and put it on the cake, cup cakes etc.

  • dude!!!

    move the stupid subtitles

you cant see crap that shes doing

    and its really distracting!!

  • @superaznboy u do know that the subtitle option is on ur side right?

  • just one question i have why do cakese´s always hav 5 petal or 10 petal flowers while in nature flowers always have 3,6,9,12 or any other number that kan be devided by 3 petals

  • why are you guys posting rude comments ??! that wasn't that bad !

  • ...so where's the cake??

  • now how do you get it OFF?!?!?!?!

  • Wow

  • so last year

  • lousy video!!

  • i thought u were gunna make on of the roses. im disapointed.

  • @KuromiCupcake

Well, there are some people who are just beginners and found this video very helpful.

  • WTF?!? My 2 yr old couldve done that!

  • it's kinda.... ugly...

  • O.o mine loox like a elefant

  • how pretty :D hmmm...i have an idea wat to use this for...

  • Well, it's good for a beginner who want to get into making cakes. And this is like the first start to begin. And thanks for sharing!

  • small... but cute =-)

  • that's it!! T.T

  • wow , it looks easy !

  • aw man! i was hoping for the big flower kind of thing! oh well.. its cute tho! X3

  • SO SIMPLE

SO CUTE i love it. ^U^

  • im sorry but that wasnt that great of a flower.......

  • jjwjhb

  • this is sssssssoooooooooo bad

  • it looks like its going to melt XD iv had that happened to me when i first began bakery XD

  • You're cute! and your flower so easy to make yet so cute too!

    ;-)

  • thanks!!!!

the flower is really cute btw!!!!!

  • i was wondering... when you make it on the nail....how do you transfer it to the cake??

  • you make it on a wax paper square and let it dry first or pipe it directly on the cake

  • I forgot what they're called exactly but there are these special plastic scissors that you can use to go under the icing flower and put them on the cake.

  • oh she meant "the surface" meaning you do it on the cake! she was just showing how to do it :)

  • my brother can do that and he is only 5

  • @kewe9 hmmmmm, better watch out for that one. give him some transformer toys! :P:P

just kidding, that's awesome, get him into baking!!! he could be a pastry chef, omgogogomg that would be so cool, and rewarding for you haha!

  • What kind of flower is this, and how the heck are you supposed to get this soupy mess off the nail? I mean you would be better off making drop flowers directly on the cake with a drop flower tip, at least it would look like a flower!

  • Pretty!

  • wooooow yes

  • you all make it look so easy!

  • It seems that the icing here is very thin. Notice how the petals seem to ooze after application. If your icing is too thin, add confectioners sugar a little at a time.

Before creating a flower, cut a small round of parchment to fit the nail, and adhere it to the nail with a tiny dab of icing. This will make it easier to remove the flower from the nail once it is set.

  • Cool! thanks always wanted to do that!

  • wow thanks that was a great and simple video (: i'm going to try that today!

  • thank you sooo much i have to make a luau themed cake and this helped a lot

  • This is a good flower - but I would put a square of wax paper on the nail..easy to set aside and dry. I would also use a thicker icing - that flower seems a bit flat.

  • Your icing is TOO thin.

  • lol init i love it thick! mmmm yeah :P

  • @Jetmorrison i agree

  • @Jetmorrison It dries faster that way, thus being able to remove it from the stand and place on a cake. It's stupposed to harden.

  • yeah- thats all well and good, but you cant do it on the rose nail, because there is no way to get it off! You have to to it like that directly on the cake.

  • that didnt seem to hard. but i was kind of looking for a rose- it doesnt seem like you needed that nail to make a little flower like that

  • thats was well quik dude @@@@@@@ dum dum!!!

  • cool but i thought u were gonna make 3-d one and why is it always u cuz u just do dumb stuff

  • Oooooh! O_o
