Oh man... you combined two of the saddest things I've ever seen and yet love. I'm going to go cry a bunch now. Nice AMV anyway.
Actually, my desire to watch Wolf's Rain led me to watching Watership Down where the comments had me learn about Plague Dogs. Weird.
It's all very sad, but I don't regret watching any of them. In fact, I've read Watership Down, and now I want to read Plague Dogs and other books by Adams. I think everyone should try to read something of his.
@linwau Well, I think they were using the term romantic is the original way, not the romantic=love way. It just means a lovely story that is about some level of heroism and fighting the good fight. Point is, they think you made it seem kid-friendly, which I sort of agree with, but who cares? Awesome vid! ^^
@mouse264 If you watch the anime, the connotation of this song implies the exact opposite of what you saw in this. The movie is also on the contrary side to what you see here. I can't see where you're coming from, but whatever.
@katiecoopuppy888 the movies even sader if thats a word, i still cant get over it, it would be smarter not to see it, but if i rated it i would say pg-13 (blood, strong coarse language, and parents strongly cautioned) but what do i know im 11 ive heard the book has a happier ending
Definatly not a G/U. I'd say it should be for 14 year olds and up. It can be quite violent, bloody and intense. Including a scene where Snitter (the fox terrier) accidently steps on the trigger of a gun and shoots a man in the face.
However, a mature 11 year old watching it should be fine. But this isn't for the sensitive people.
@katiecoopuppy888 Its a novel by Richard Adams the same person who brought the genius who brought the novel Watership Down, please read the book, it is worth it
I posted that comment 11 months ago, and since then, I've watched the movie, and I've started reading the book. :3 It's a beautiful series, but it's so sad... I love it. <3
I watched this movie as a little kid. And some time ago I watched it again. But now I find it far scarier than back when I was little xD Great movie though ;D
Someone further down in the comments might have all ready mentioned this, but from what I recall reading at some point (and this certainly makes sense I think) the film (and novel it's based on) is in part a metaphor for what was being done to the Jews, and other minorities by the Nazis during WWII,
@AshenIdol This is also the case with Felidae and Watership Down. And other movies by this company may also hold true to this theme. But by God I love these films.
OK, 'possibly' not a film for kids..., or not for every kid, but this film is REALISTIC and I know that kids don't like the lies of adults, kids are more aware of so many things of life... so tell them the thruth (without showing the film may be...) That's my personal opinion. This film is great, should be seen by everyone who wants to know the thruth, No lies anymore!
lol would you hate me if i said I don't know? ^^" thats a really good question. since I'm lazy, I'd look online like on ebay or amazon. I'm sorry i don't know an exact place heh heh... yeah really sorry
I loved the movie, it was so sad in places yet it made me happy. Some say the book is much better so if i love the film, what will i think of the book? I can't wait to read it! Great vid by the way!
No, they are picked up by a boat by two very nice people, who then return to shore and give Rowf( the black one) and Snitter( the white one) to Snitter's master, who had been in the hospital. THey hard a very hard life and it was real upsetting but in the end they both end up in good hands with Snitter's master, a very loving man who sacrificed himself to save Snitter's life early in the story.
right, in the novel they are rescued and returned to human friend, but in the movie the dogs do die, the director has said this a few times in interviews. Snitter's friend was killed in the film version, which is obviously different than the book.
Yeah, I hate when directors take it upon themselves to alter a novelist's writings. It would have been alot better had they lived in the film as well, but it's Richard Adams' work, and I accept his outcome alone. To me, this ending is as bad as Halo 2's ending.
Yeah, the book's ending will actually make you cry a whole lot more, because after everything that Rowf had went through in his life and it looks like he'll be going back to a shelter, Snitter's master takes him along with Snitter back to his home. It's epic as hell man. I loved it. The movie had a very bizarre and pointless ending, but it did show that the dogs would rather die than return to that lab.
Ok, today, there are strict laws to make sure animals aren't treated cruelly during testing, and testing does do good. But seriously, have you watched this movie? This kind of testing is animal cruelty. There is no excuse for drowning a dog.
@Azurewolf02 if you think that animal testing is any less cruel since the new laws you are ridiculously naive. one recent experiment on mice was used to gage and document facial expressions in mice when they where subjected to more and more pain. look up recent animal experiment and keep up to date before you start trying to pacify enraged people with misleading coments. the only way to stop this kind of cruelty is to keep people aware and angry enough to take action.
Yeah, it makes more sense to test medical products on rats etc., but what about testing cosmetic products on animals? I mean cosmetics aren't going to save human lifes, so I agree that animal testings should be ended for COSMETIC products
animal testing is SICK i hate it they have feelings two just cuz there furry and walk on four legs dont mean there different we are all linked together! two legs or four we are the same! and it is unfair to treat them differently
Great job - you've really captured the essence of the ending, it is so easy to loose in the tribute movies that they are swimming into oblivion, but you got it really well. Still needs those words though i think ... "Look ... it's our island ..." and of course there is nothing there. So sad.
PLZ DONT TAKE THIS WRONG!!! i dont believe in ANIMAL TESTING I DONT!!!! but if we didnt how would we get some things like shampoo (bad example) but do we wanna risk human life its no different for animals we shouldnt be hurting them im just making a statement i dont believe or go against it because its just 1 of thoughs questions for me so if someone can tell me more about animal testing like y they do it wats it for that would help me to figure out if im trully against and again??? plz
You should throw away anything in your house that has any connection to a third world country, created by underpaid and overworked people who are suffering just so you can selfishly have that product.
Animal testing for medical puporses on smaller animals such as rodents is fine in my opinion. Animal testing on smarter animals, like canines, felines, chimps, for things like makeup and shampoo. . . no, that's not okay.
I have the DVD and can't find it. Probably let someone borrow it and never got it back :( Trying to download a torrent too now so I can make MVs of it. This is beautiful! Perfect song for them. Well done with the editing, timing, pace, etc! 5* and faved
Too bad the movie didn't go on to chapter "Envoy" in the book where the dogs are saved...I'm sorry but these British animated movies have too much of brutal endings.
Two dogs escape from an animal experimenting lab. The dogs just want to be left alone but the humans are trying to hunt them down because they think the dogs could have been injected with a deadly plague.
Want to find out anything else you will have to watch the movie. :3 Its here on youtube.
There's another anime song that I think would go really well with the Plague Dogs, it's the one they play at the end of the twins episode, it's beautiful and would fit brilliantly, could someone try making an AMV, I would but I don't have the equipment.
yeah ive gotta finish the movie sometime im just always too busy to watch any kind of movie or show on youtube i might try to get the book if i have time but i doubt that will happen... and your welcome shadow <33

I was wondering, is this a book? Like, a novel or is it a manga?
Also, what would you rate it? Like in TV ratings (ex: G, PG, 14A, 18A, R, etc.) Because I'd like to watch it, but I want to know before I see. =3=

There's another anime song that I think would go really well with the Plague Dogs, it's the one they play at the end of the twins episode, it's beautiful and would fit brilliantly, could someone try making an AMV, I would but I don't have the equipment.

Wolf's Rain.
Isn't that where this song is from? It plays during the credits of each episode.
